Eureka!

I've just realized what the problem with Muslims is. They hate Jews because they keep watching Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ. That's got to be it. Remember how it was going to incite all this violence against Jews? They must play it 24/7 on Al Jazeera.

Simply stop telling them how Christ died for our sins and they will revert back to the religion of peace that Islam has always been.

daniel - don't quit your day job, whatever type of ethnocentric activities that might entail...if it's comedy, you might want to re-think any plans for an anti-welfare state social movement, as I'm afraid you'll soon be unemployed.

Anonymous X 2: You might want to notice that Daniel doesn't invite or condone any violence, hasn't called for the crushing of any non-Christian religious individuals, or the wiping out of any ethnic group, so your insults just don't hold water. All he did was suggest that Al-Jazeera might want to change up their video offerings. Maybe they should try out Spongebob Squarepants or a pirated version of Brokeback Mountain.

Congrats Daniel- you must be pushing a lot of buttons with the potgressives by the number of love letters they are sending you now.

Not that I'm in agreement so much with the growing number of pseudo-political idiots infesting what was once a calmly written, if absurd, blog of ideas.

But:

Is anyone else interested in applying for $75K with me so that we can make a statue of Ann Coulter? Heck, even a "wall niche" of "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity" done in caligraphy should qualify. Anyone?

Hey Kaelri, it's nice to have one of my mature liberal commentors back. And c'mon, you know that I'm being fecitious with the art stuff.

I've been following this blog for about a year, and I have never seen Daniel condone violence (other than obvious jest).

I note only that you have expressed consistent admiration for Ann Coulter and Joe McCarthy, neither of whom have/had much interest in political serenity.

Hey, kaelri, your reference to "political serenity" is interesting, because after a certain point, the urge to "get along" becomes tedious. Iran has just been caught bragging about lying to the europeans re the interrupted nuclear (oops, nukular) talks. The Brits, Frogs and Krauts, in the Secretary General's words, "trusted the rhetoric from Iran." Appeasement is a sweet poison. How many millions MORE must die horribly before this lesson is learned? The smiling face of the terrorist in North Carolina, and the conciliatory tone of the official appeasers are examples of the danger of embracing "political serenity." Please understand that Hamas, and other islamofascists are not deterred from their hatred by encouraging "calm" rhetoric. They only recognize it for what it is....weakness.

I confirmed that neither Coulter nor McCarthy had interest in political serenity. My intention was not to make you think that I, rather, did.

On the other hand, I understand why pacifism might irk you - why it gets as "tedious" as it does. You'd think that after the most dedicated pacifist who ever lived was arrested, charged with blasphemy, tried and convicted of sedition, flogged, beaten to amnesty by an insurrectionist, and crucified on a hill, people would get the message. Wouldn't you?
