Thursday night jokes

With all the humorous posts and even funnier responses I think that a joke night is in order:

Q: What's the difference between a Democrat and a catfish?
A: One is an ugly, scum sucking bottom-feeder and the other is a fish.

Q: What do you get when you cross a pilgrim with a democrat?
A: A god-fearing tax collector who gives thanks for what other people have.

You Might Be A Democrat If...

You believe that a few hundred loggers can find another career, but the defenseless spotted owl must live in its preferred tree.

You actually expect to collect Social Security.

You think the Free Market is where they hand out Government cheese.

You'd rather own Birkenstock than Merck Stock.

Absolutely hilarious - Dear Blue States:

Even funnier - Politically Correct Little Red Riding Hood

And finally - Kim Jong Ill's diary

Daniel -- Poor timing for joke night. Iraq is gravely close to civil war. As a nation, we bear responsibility to obviate such a disaster.

God bless our troops, and God bless America.

Nothin' like stereotypes to lighten the load.

You're right. Each and every American should forget everything else in life. Put down your dinner plate, turn off American idol, and start obviating.

Daniel, delete this post, but save it for another day....when Iraqi children can again fly their kites with glee. As a nation, we bear responsibility to make sure no one laughs at such a crucial time.

Shame, Daniel. Shame.

We have been at war for quite some time now. Every day is a very serious day on that topic.

We should always remember what is going on around the world, around our country, our state and our communties.

But at the same time we can still enjoy life. I plan to.

Iraqi children have kites?

Wow, and they had glee?

Must be are fault right?

Sorry but I disagree.

Iraq is a focal point for terrorists who are currently attempting to kick off a civil war allowing for the slaughter of thousands of innocents. They are lieing and killing rather than allow the people of Iraq to make decisions for themselves.

Not exactly what I'd call heroic but I suppose you probably like Che Guevera so you'll blame the US for "forcing" them to break the commandment forbiding murder.

Very similar to Sudaam but only done from the shadows.

Just to tip you off Daniel.

There is an immigration post over at Oregon Catalyst. Figured you'd want to chime in.

I'd just like to point out that distinguishing between "terrorists" and "the people of Iraq" is an increasingly difficult feat.

Not like that. I meant that the most recent Anonymous respondent was insinuating that the "terrorists" we're fighting in Iraq at the moment are a load of invaders from the outside - as if the whole of al Qaeda packed up and emigrated. It was said that they are threatening the "people of Iraq" - which is certainly true, but it's important not to forget that 99% of them are people of Iraq.

I heard from a friend who recently got back from Iraq. He said: "All the men there are insurgents, all the women breed insurgents, and all of the children grow up to be insurgents."

I hear stuff like this more and more from my brothers in arms who come back from there. We will never have peace there, and we will never be done there. To think otherwise is foolish.
