2 charged in arson at Oregon tree farm
A man and a woman from Washington were indicted Thursday in a 2001 arson at an Oregon tree farm that has been blamed on radical environmentalists.

Joyanne Zacher, 28, and Nathan Fraser Block, 24, both of Olympia, made a brief first appearance Thursday in U.S. District Court in Tacoma after a federal grand jury in Eugene, Ore., returned two separate 14-count indictments against them.

They are charged with 12 counts of arson and one count of attempted arson involving farm buildings and trucks at a poplar-tree farm in Clatskanie, Ore., that they incorrectly believed was practicing genetic engineering, according to the indictment.

That's just funny. The message here: Kids, don't smoke pot! It makes you stupid.

Oh, and don't be an eco-terrorist either because society doesn't take you seriously and you are going to end up in prison.

When faced with the reality that, yes, you wingnuts, arson is a MAJOR crime, these brave little anarchists turn state's evidence on each other faster than you can say 'they hate America.' What a sorry bunch.

Have you noticed how the anarchists, tree huggers and liberal whackos are usually quite homely and mug ugly, especially the women?

Perhaps if we look a little deeper we will find the truth that drives their behavior and help them Face reality.

Ms Sheehan is a prime example. Below prime, that is.

Erm. What? I have read through the aforementioned article in its entirety and failed utterly to find any mention of drugs of any kind.

Yup ... these kiddies are just naturally stupid and gullible.

Drugs were probably un-needed.

celery,

I sure hope your "mystified" sounding comment was meant in the same humorous vein as Daniel's was.

Otherwise, as you say,

"...Erm."

we love the trees! let's burn down the tree farm!

we love the salmon! kill all the hatchery fish!

we love the poor! give them more welfare!

see a theme here?

theme = selfish, stoned, stupid sheep

Ironically the title of this post also depicts the ensuing discussion. Love life's ironies!

Rickyragg -

"celery"

You now owe me - one keyboard, this one is soaked in beer which I spewed when I saw that!

I'd simply rather that conclusions were not leapt to. It is highly possible for a person to be a terrorist without the assistance of hallucinogenic herbology of any kind.

Kaelri would "...simply rather that conclusions were not leapt to."

Aw, "lighten up, Francis!"

kaelri,

actually, with the "pot" comment, I think Daniel was giving them the benefit of the doubt....

maybe they are just stupid sheep

and anon,

good to see that you, at least, recognize irony

now, if you could only distinguish the difference between irony and sarcasm.

I have a challenge for these tree-huggers that go out and destroy just about anything to do with the timber industry (and for these same jerks that want to do in the oil industry, as well): Take one week and do without any product that comes from the timber industry, from the houses you are living in to toilet paper to the sticks you tack your ridiculous signs to, as well as the signs themselves). Same for the oil industry naysayers: Do without anything that uses petroleum products: Gasoline or diesel, natural gas or heating oil for your furnaces and water heaters, all your polyester clothes, anything cotton (cotton is planted and harvested using petroleum products), and the streets on which you drive. See just how long you last. Either have the courage of your convictions or shut the hell up and quit bothering the honest, right-thinking citizens.

I think you're frankly giving this "three-hugging arsonist" cadre far more attention than they probably deserve.
