Coal in the GOP's stocking

Is that a holiday tree there? Maybe a Kwanza tree? To the RNC it is.

Those of you who know me have heard me say that we should not be giving money to the party. (state or national) This is why.

You give money to the Oregon republican party and who says that your donation isn't going to go to Ben "gay marriage" Westlund? You give money to the RNC and they will print "Holiday" cards with it or give it to Lincoln Chaffee.

Send a message to the party by only giving financial support to invidual candidates (Hint: Jason Atkinson) and the special interest groups that will not compromise on our values. (Hint: Oregonians for Immigration Reform)

And if you have an extra stamp laying around you might consider crushing up a charcoal briquette and sending it to the RNC with a "Happy Holidays" message inside.

Strange, perhaps George Bush kidnapped the helpless victims and has them doing forced labor for Halliburton...

Daniel: Thanks for reminding me that our local state GOP leader has done NOTHING!

We are not ones who give up easy, but DAMN!

Vance Day won't even answer my emails about the party's not-so-active role in combatting illegal immigration.

On Mr.Day, He answer's mine to chew me out for my "tone" of my emails.

I didn't start out that way, but when you get the response which was a long time GOP voter really can't approach him with a call to do something...ANYTHING, and he reminds you he dosn't respond unless you kiss the rear he sits on, then it goes down hill from there.

Daniel, unless we get the right guy in Salem and elsewhere, Buy ammo after you vote, cause it will not be a good deal as we know its coming to.

Seriously, how insecure are you if you can't stand a secular political group, the RNC, saying "Happy Holidays" so as to be accepting to all persons in the party?

Aren't you a big tent? No wonder I left the party and became an Indy. Someone saying "Happy Holidays" does not hurt you or anyone else.

Dear A-H---/ANON,

Seriously, how insecure are you if you can't stand a secular political group, the RNC, saying "Happy Holidays" YOU SAID:

Really insecure/upset/mad/pissed.

What really makes the feeling worse is your to (being nice here) blind to see the problem.

You should read the first chapter of Freakonomics. Good chance you'll start sending your money somewhere else entirely.

Just looking at the summary but I do agree with the author of that book on one issue: A backyard swimming pool is more dangerous than a gun!

Ne'er a greater truth spoken.

But the gist of their analysis, based on the results of thirty years' worth of nationwide Congressional races (conveniently contesting the same two candidates election after election), is that all the thousands of dollars poured into a campaign every two years only influence the vote by about 1%.

So there's a decent probability that even if you devoted your whole life savings directly into getting this Atkinson bloke (and what a totally uninformative website he's got) elected, if the people ultimately don't like him, he's quite simply screwed.

HEY K-Man:

If we just ignore you and two counties in this state, hell, WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK, we can still elect him.

You clearly do care what I think, else you wouldn't be posting. Either way, though, I live at the opposite end of the Canadian border, so I've got Golisano to worry about instead.

Yes, donate to OFIR, they are all VOLUNTEERS & will make a difference and do not change with the polls.
