Your tax dollars discussing "both sides" of the issue

Oregon Farmworker Issues
Two contrasting viewpoints poignantly describe the plight of many migrant agricultural workers today:

"Immigrants have made America."

"America is so rich and fat, because it has eaten the tragedy of millions of immigrants."

OPB: Fair and balanced...

Many agricultural workers in Oregon are illegal immigrants. The Mexican Consulate estimates that 80,000 Mexicans have immigrated illegally to Oregon. Because many migrant workers lack U.S. citizenship and do not speak English, they can be easily exploited by farm labor contractors or farmers.

OPB's problem is not the fact that illegal immigration is against the law, it's not the fact that many illegal immigrants sell drugs or rape kids, it's that the criminals can be "easily exploited" by farmers.

Why are we still funding OPB? You would think that with a Republican President, Senate and House that we would stop paying for public broadcasting. When did our party concede that putting this liberal garbage on the air was part of government's job description?

They must not visit Beaverton or Hillsboro much. I would bet there are at least 80,000 in the Portland area alone.

Ah yes, and many of the Saudis are studying electrical, chemical and mechanical engineering and such while others elect the many basket weaving courses that allow more than enough free time to take in all the unique perversions that Oregon offers and this further enrages the radical Islamists if not expand their membership.

But its all for the kids.

It sucks to think that liberals are the ones solely represented in public radio. What up with that?

Consulate also said 174,000 Migrant workers come here illegally every spring and NOW over 5% have AIDS!
Hard to beleive that Americans had any thing to do with this Country being tops worldwide, if you listen to their crap.

Just this afternoon I was watching a documentary on Discovery Times, called "Chasing El Norte" It chrinicles a young man as he attempts to illegally invade the U.S. It has a real liberal "poor little venezuelan" spin on it. It was really interesting though. At one point they all get detained by the cops in Mexico City, who then give them food/water, and a ride back to the train that they were stow aways on.

I agree, quit funding OPB and open up the airwaves to the free market. Plenty of people who would be ahppy to start broadcasting.
