Old, but racist, news

OSU to dedicate La Raza Conference Room
Oregon State University will dedicate the La Raza Conference Room in the campus Memorial Union at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 29.

La raza is a Spanish term meaning the race or ethnic group, said Ines Ruiz-Huston, an OSU master's candidate from Portland.

So... you understand that you made a room for "the race" huh? And that doesn't bother you? Oh wait, I think I heard of something like this before. What was it? Oh yeah, we had drinking fountains for "the race" at one time. Whatever happened to those?

I am happy about this turn of events. In fact, it inspires me to sing:

OSU, our hats are off to you
Beavers, Beavers, fighters through and through
We'll root for every man, we'll cheer for every stand
That's made for old OSU.
Watch our team go tearing down the field
Men of iron, their strength will never yield.
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail to old OSU.

That's a nice song, maybe you could sing it at the next MECHA meeting...

It's a shame they can't win football games.

Daniel said...

They are too busy... stealing gay sheep, driving drunk, assaulting soldiers over race, paying taxi drivers with pot, etc.

How can the university justify this? Do they have a conference room named, "Whitey"? If they did, it would be denounced in a second by all of the minority groups. I just don't understand how reverse discrimination can be justified as progress, on any level!

They also don't have a scholarship for "whitey" and they certainly wouldn't allow whitey to assault someone because of their race and still allow them to play on their football team.

How can the state GOP candidates, and party keep their mouths shut?

Are these people who we "hope" will defend us from all enemy's here, and from abroad, just sit by and say nothing?

The left has plenty to say!

Yes, they do have plenty to say.

The problem is that what they have to say is utterly and totally wrong.

I'm waiting for people to torch the La Raza Conference Room. Hell, we've got people down here at the U of O trying to get rid of the Ben Linder name on the Forum.

Yes, they do have plenty to say. say the SAILOR.

Really, where did Vance Day, or Mannix, or Jason,or Saxon ever say drop La RAZA from OSU, kill funding for any of these movements and when they say "racist", you say, "YOU BET" to any group that advocates the overthrow of the USA.

Then call for the replacement of the UofO president for letting that crap happen.....keep this crap up they will burn Eugene, like they are burning France.

3. EDUCATION must be relative to our people, i.e., history, culture, bilingual education, contributions, etc. Community control of our schools, our teachers, our administrators, our counselors, and our programs.

Is this in the university of Oregonian student handbook?

Or this: 5. SELF-DEFENSE of the community must rely on the combined strength of the people. The front line defense will come from the barrios, the campos, the pueblos, and the ranchitos. Their involvement as protectors of their people will be given respect and dignity. They in turn offer their responsibility and their lives for their people. Those who place themselves in the front ranks for their people do so out of love and carnalismo. Those institutions which are fattened by our brothers to provide employment and political pork barrels for the gringo will do so only as acts of liberation and for La Causa. For the very young there will no longer be acts of juvenile delinquency, but revolutionary acts.

Maybe this little diddy:3. Self-Defense against the occupying forces of the oppressors at every school, every available man, woman, and child.

Maybe we will just wait until they start burning Eugene, if your going to sit by while a group advocates the overthrow of the USA, THEN WE DESERVE WHAT FRANCE IS GETTING.
