Why they do it

Department of Consumer & Business Services:
Fact sheet on participation in the Carousel of Information

The Department of Consumer & Business Services (DCBS) is Oregon's largest regulatory agency. DCBS has been a partner in the Carousel every year since 2000 because [m]ost state laws and rules that DCBS administers do not depend on immigration status...

How nice. This is obviously something that our next governor, Jason Atkinson, will need to change.

Capitolization and punctuation aren't your strong points are they?

Apparently some people care what I think, they read my blog.

I enjoy doing this.

And a belief, by definition, is something that can't be forced.

this is a blog, a communication device where free expression still exists, Daniel is the author, he is supposed to express his thoughts, we get a chance to respond and vent, why would you go to a blog and suggest that said 1st amendment device stop existing?
We DO WHAT HE THINKS or we would NOT BE on this blog. I hope u r not allowed to drive it is bad enough out there.

Anon #1, I care what he thinks. It's people like Daniel that keep me surviving here in Oregon.

Daniel's statements are correct, and your insults to him just emphasize that point.

Now lick my boots, grunt.

All He does is gripe about what other people are doing. i bet he enforces his beliefs on others around him.

Why shouldn't we care? We are forced to have at least 9% of our income taken by the state. I could be wrong but I doubt that illegals are supposed to be getting state benefits, unless federally mandated like schools, emergency room visits, etc.

Damn right I am going to raise my voice when the state gives away my hard earned money to illegal invaders.

Hmmm...I've seen virtually this exact post elsewhere, also posted anonymously, of course. Our gutless friend must have a boilerplate close at hand. And it was probably composed by somebody else. I'm guessing it was downloaded from a leftie site somewhere for the very purpose of disrupting blog interchange.

Hey anon:

You realize that on every post on this, you keep telling people not to worry about what others are doing and just go live your life, and dont tell others what to do?

You are a pathetic idiot. Every word you type drips with hypocrisy. Lets look at your charges one by one:

"Nobody cares what Daniel thinks": Really? Then why are we all here typing on his blog, including, with increasing frequency, YOU?

"Go enjoy life": Yeah, you sound happy. And some of us have a hard time just dancing on the deck of the Titanic knowing the holds are filling with water. Or in this case, Horchata.

"Quit worrying about what everyone else is doing": Screw you. We will continue to worry about what criminals who cut in line and freeloaders are doing to this society. When I can;t get medical care because my hospital is closing, because there are a gajillion recipients of uncompensated care or under-reimbursed government health care sinking the health care system, I will most definitely worry about what others are doing.

Trying to force your beliefs on others: Bullcrap. What the hell do you think you are doing?

im not enforcing my beliefs...daniel says that he is a christian...doesnt it say in the bible to love everyone?....his views sound like he hates everyone unless they think like he does...yell at me if you want....im not a lefty...i dont care who does what or where...i just think we should all just live together and make a better world for us all....dont you?

It does say in the Bible to love each other. But that is not all it says. For example:

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. --Ephesians 5:11-14

So Daniel is exposing the evil deeds of darkness, this shadowy underworld.

Also, loving your neighbor as yourself means protecting them from those that would do them harm. Even when they don't understand.

Your approach is pollyanna and deals with problems like an ostrich would - bury your head in the sand and think that if you ignore it, it will go away. We CAN'T all get along. Which is why the Bible has a qualifier - it says

"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Romans 12:18

It isn't always possible. And it is immoral to ignore injustice and threats to others' safety.

We aren't picking a fight...this was brought to us by thsoe who subverted our laws and overran our system's ability to absorb them and give them access to our society. As such, we are left with a perpetual underclass that is harming us as it harms them. It also takes some of the workforce needed to bring change to Mexico and keeps that from happening.
