Money for "The Race"

Note: Many sites are linking to me for pictures of the illegal alien protest from Saturday. Scroll down a ways to see the many pics already posted and stay tuned for the rest of them.

GOP Congress Earmarks $4 Million for Leftist Pro-Illegal Alien Group
Thanks to a congressional earmark, an open-borders advocacy group that pushes for driver’s licenses, free in-state tuition and healthcare for illegal aliens and bilingual requirements for state agencies and ballots is slated to get $4 million in new taxpayer money to add to the more than $30 million it has received from various federal agencies since 1996.

The author is talking about the National Council of La Raza (The Race) which takes such popular positions like opposing incarceration for criminals and are worried more about how anti-gang laws affect hispanics than how hispanic gangs affect society in general.

Why does congress give this group money? Because they are cowards. Because they are scared of a media that loves to call Republicans racist. Because some politicians will sell their souls for a few votes. That's why.

Something is truly wrong when a Republican controlled Congress allows even 2 cents to go to a group like La Raza. Its like buying bullets for terrorists.

Sheesh...Republicans are NOT racist and never have been. Did someone miss history class in school? Republicans are CLASSIST, but that is and always has been perfectly acceptable in this country. Democrats are divided on the issue; while some are not classist, the ones who are classist are off the chart.

Republicans are classist? Evidence? Because we don't hate rich people, punish success, or subsidize failure?

Because we realize that the Constitution of the United States does not give the goverment the right to take money out of one person's pocket and give it to another person?

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."
-- Thomas Jefferson

"To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his father has acquired too much, in order to spare to others who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the forst principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it." - Thomas Jefferson

I believe it was Ban Franklin who spoke up against giving aid money to the French during the French Revolution because the Congress lacked the proper authority to take money from one and give to another.

That is what Republicans rightly stand on. We also believe in charity, but don't believe in forced charity.

That does not make us classist. It makes us right per the founding documents of this country which, if others want to change them to permit stealing my money and giving it to someone who didn't earn it, then let's have that debate and change the law. To date, it hasnt happened.

I can't say it better than Tony (and Thomas Jefferson) did.

Examples for Tony: about 15 years ago in Ann Arbor, the Salvation Army wanted to open and operate a rooming house on the fringe of downtown for working men earning minimum wage. While there were numerous min-wage jobs in downtown Ann Arbor, employees who were not college students (and thus not subsidized by parents or government financial aid) could not afford to live in town and had to live in outlying areas like Ypsilanti, ten miles away. The Salvation Army was trying to address this problem, and went to the city council for approval. Nearby homeowners, waving the NIMBY flag, lobbied against the proposal - crime will increase, property values will fall, the sky is falling - and enlisted the support of elected Republicans who took up their cause. Faced with an upcoming election and the eagerness of Republicans to campaign on the issue, wimpy Democrats withdrew their support and the proposal was defeated. Republican classism? Your call.

Michigan Republicans also created a new property tax for schools on rental property, so that the school property tax rate on rentals is now fout times the rate on owner-occupied homes. They also created a majority constituency of tax-and-spend homeowners who happily vote for high taxes (and for lifting a constitutional cap on these taxes) on rental property while keeping their own property taxes low and capped. (And you probably thought the Democrat party was King of Tax-and-Spend.) Republican classism? I report, you decide.

As I said earlier, Democrats are divided on classism, but tend to be more extreme about it. Liberals are happy to tax you to build public housing in someone else's neighborhood to warehouse the poor somewhere else. Conservatives won't tax you to build public housing, but they won't let a private developer build housing for the poor in their neighborhood either.

The KKK was also indulged by the (D)emocrats, the party of Jim Crow, that filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964...

And that leading Senator, Byrd(D), still serves.

“For the race, everything. For those outside the race, nothing.” -- MEChA

"These out of state White Republicans seek to usurp our unique institution. For years the Democratic party has made promises to it's constituents and when we increase spending above revenues by 69% it's because we are seeking to reallocate the resources of the wealthy White Republicans in this state to those constituents." -- Cruz Bustamante Lt. Gov CA (MEChA member)

La Raza means "The Race"...

let's have that debate and change the law. To date, it hasnt happened. SAID Tony:

Hey TONY, WHAT THE HELL IS THERE TO DEBATE?

EL PLAN DE AZTLÁN...."THAT PLAN"

"Those institutions which are fattened by our brothers to provide employment and political pork barrels for the gringo will do so only as acts of liberation and for La Causa. For the very young there will no longer be acts of juvenile delinquency, but revolutionary acts." FROM THE PLAN.

There is no question, after reading the PLAN, what the message is here.

There is no debate!

Where is your post on the total disgust that any elected offical right or left would vote money for groups that advocate what is spelled out in this document?

Where is Gordon Smith? Where is Vance Day? For that matter ,WHERE ARE YOU? Jack Peek
