Deport Gordon Smith

http://deportgordonsmith.com/
Our intention is to collect pledges from as many Oregon citizens who have been irreparably offended by Senator Smith’s vote in favor of S. 2611 and clear support of an Amnesty for Criminal Aliens that they pledge to never vote for Senator Smith again. Just before the 2008 election, we will contact you by email or phone to remind you of your pledge.

Our goal first and foremost would be for Smith to lose in a Republican primary, however, should Smith be in a general election we are willing to 'stay home' and not cast a ballot for him.

Brand new website! Simply sign the pledge. It's time to show the Republican politicians that they answer to us, if they don't want to represent us then they will be out of a job!

I would like to thank Greg of OregonBillboard for his excellent work on the site!

If you need some background on Senator Smith's sellout vote:

S. 2611 is an amnesty for the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens who have illegally entered our country.

S. 2611 requires our government to consult with the Mexican government before constructing a fence along the border.

S. 2611 allows in 200,000 Temporary Guest workers a year. It is a lie that these would be temporary workers. So called temporary workers can apply for legal permanent residency. And what happens when they have several children? Sob stories galore about not forcing them to go home!

Under this bill, illegal aliens get an option to only have to pay three of their last
five years in back taxes.

S. 2611 allows illegal aliens to access money that they may have put into the Social Security system no matter if they committed a felony by stealing the Social Security number of an American citizen.

This is Senator Smith's idea of a good immigration bill. When it comes time for a campaign contribution simply print and send him this:

I'll consider it if you guys go 24-7 after Why-dun, too. They're both sell outs on this one. Yes, I know we should have higher hopes for Gordon but we can't. Since we can't, let's go after Why-dun also.

It's not just the higher expectations, none of us (very few anyway) would vote for Wyden otherwise and we aren't eligible to vote against him in his parties primary.

His seat is also not open until 2010 and we would have to gauge his vulnerability at that time. We will obviously remind Oregonians of his treasonous vote during his cycle.

We knew Smith was vulnerable before he made this vote, we made it clear to him, he voted for amnesty anyways. He needs to be punished.

"Why-dun" is a lost cause for Republicans... We cannot defeat him.

We can replace Gordo in 2008.

It is past time that we have to hold our noses and vote for pretty boys.

Deport -- SI!

You know, you guys should maybe thank Smith, Dodd et. al. Frankly I think the Senate bill is so extreme that it will never be worked out in compromise. Im beginning to wonder if maybe Dodd putting the "consult with Mexico on building a fence" was a blessing in disguise. Ill be pretty surprised if this crap passes the house. I could be wrong, but I feel like the public was pretty unanimous against amnesty before, now I feel like they are pissed as hell. Who wants to bet on which way the phones are ringing in congressional offices? You think its a bunch of "wow, I love the Senate bill, please, pass it quickly"? I sure don't, not just a month after April 15.

"I'll consider it..." Victoria, you have done an exemplary job in presenting this issue. I appreciate that, but Wyden is four years away. Smith is two years away and he broke a campaign promise not to support amnesty. I don't care what Smith says, the Senate bill is amnesty. Smith plays into the dishonesty at two levels. First, the rhetorical dishonesty of saying the Senate bill is not amnesty. Second, the outward provisions of the bill cancelled out by the hidden inner mechanisms that Smith knew about and yet still voted "aye" anyway.

I've heard your passion on illegal immigration, Victoria, but then to meekly support Smith anyway, says either it was a sham for ratings for your radio show, or shows a weak "My party, right or wrong." attitude. I hope I'm wrong.

first of all we will not consider it -unless you have a conservative republican replacement and prove it for him and let us know exactly who it is. second of all you have to deport Ron wyden and David wu and find Republican replacements for all of them and let us know exactly who they are.or we will be in a worse of state like california with pelosi and Barbra boxer where everything is in obstruction and nothing passes Governor Arnold has a hard time passing anything in the legislature.and on election night.

I would like to replace all democrats with republicans but that isn't realistic.

I would like to replace Smith in the primary but if he is in the general I think that the short term pain of having a democrat in the seat is worth the long term gain of teaching republicans that we expect them to toe the line on illegal immigration.

Yes liberals there is a God.

If you want a replacement for Smith, you will need to get involved in precinct politics .... hold enough precinct committees, and you can help get a non-RINO of yopur choice nominated.

Don't participate, and you can just sit back and vote for whoever those more politically active get nominated. Furthermore, politicians listen to the people that help them get elected ... constituents come in a distant second.
