Mexican Unions Take to Streets in 'A Day Without Gringos'
Hundreds of Mexican union members took to the streets of central Mexico City early Monday to support Mexican migrants living and working in the United States and to boycott U.S. goods in what was dubbed a "A Day Without Gringos."
At least a half-dozen state governors in Mexico endorsed the boycott of McDonald's, Wal-Mart and hundreds of other U.S. companies here — an action timed to coincide with a call for immigrants to boycott work, school and shopping in the United States.
Fine, the only reason that people in Mexico have any buying power whatsoever is because of the remittance you get from America. If I was a Mexican citizen I would be ashamed of my pathetic country.

Daniel, my family is ashamed of mehico as much as the mehicans are. They are cowards, commies, corrupt, and so inept that they can't even fight for their own home. All they can do is cry, and beg for mercy from the very people they hate.....truly pathetic. When one marcher went by today with a sign that said, "we cook your food," I told him I wouldn't eat any food handled by folks with the bathroom habits the illegals have displayed, pointed to my nether regions and invited him to come and get HIS lunch. At that moment, the crowd started again with the "si se puede!" I haven't laughed so hard in days!!
Mexico Is Helping Out, Sounds Good.
What Will Happen When The Senate Passes A Good Bill That Doesn't Satisfy What You Wanted? youl go crazy, haha
And yet, you say you aren't racist...
By "feed my family" do you mean "own some Honda with a 3 foot tall spoiler and subwoofers that shake the neighborhood"?
So let me understand this. It is OK for Mexicans in Mexico to boycott American products. But if we boycott Mexican products we are racists. That's what I call linguistic relativism. We boycott Mexican products because the government of Mexico is actively involved in subversion of our laws. There are many illegal Polish citizens in the US but I'm not aware of any actions the Polish government is taking to encourage them to further break the law or encourage its citizens still in Poland to go to the US and stay there illegally. Probably the same goes for any other nationality. Mexico is a notable exception. It’s not about the race. The lefties use the race as a convenient excuse not to have to argue using facts.
BTW, I've done all 3. 1. The one (legal) Latino I know and talked to not too long ago about illegal immigration is opposed to it. 2. I worked in the fields of Italy for $15/day. 3. I've immigrated.
Any questions?
Well, I will throw my two cents in here.
I grew up working in the fields. When I was a kid we worked picking strawberries and beans during the summer break. That allowed us to make money for summer vacation or whatever. I grew up on a farm. We raised (over the course of years) cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, and horses. Every year we had a garden where all the kids worked ( in addition to the bean and strawberry fields). We bucked hay, not just for our livestock but for the relatives as well. When hay season hit, the entire family got together and laid up enough for everyone. These days, kids are not allowed to do these types of jobs which teach them a strong work ethic and the value of money and honest work. Hell, most folks I know would not know what to do with a handful of seeds if you gave'em to them.
In my lifetime I have known and worked with hundreds of Hispanic folks and have nothing against them, other than the ones who were here illegally, and that was not (and is not) personal. I even have a Hispanic person in my family and he is a fine fellow who is much loved by us. He does not agree with my stance on illegal aliens but he knows exactly what I think about it.
I do not now, and never have, had any desire to try to emigrate to another country. America is the greatest country on earth. That is why everyone wants to be here. That is why we need to have controls on immigration. If we continue to keep our borders open, everyone in the world WILL be here.
Illegals need to go home and do it right. Then we will welcome them with open arms, but not open pocketbooks.
mayhem, your definition of "facts" is as phony as your definitions of "immigrant," and "racist." You and your commie pals hate America, democracy, and the rule of law. The portrait of che (who died as gracefully as uday & qusay) speaks clearly re your anarchist denial of the American dream. Keep supporting the illegals. Call for more walk-outs and stronger rhetoric from the anti-american crowd. I am. Their message is creating a superb blow-back.
