Cornelius protest: Part dos

Start at the post below this to get the info from the beginning. Then check out RINO Watch for his post. I just want to say that the group of people that I met today are some stand up citizens and genuinely enjoyable to be with.

Back to bussiness:

I left off with the Cornelius PD showing up (having been called by the criminals) and the officer was a good guy, when I told him that I saw a guy drinking behind a dumpster on the property he wasn't surprised. He left but the police kept a presence by driving by occasionally.

So we decided to go take some pictures with the day laborers:


"Hardworking" criminals waiting for some unscrupulous person to pick them up. (I caught one, more later)


Both Jay and I stuck our thumbs out in an attempt to get work until we realized that this was work that "American's won't do."


There you have Ron and I. Ron was willing to talk to me (in broken English) and answer my questions. In a genuine effort to help I suggested that he try a Temp agency for work. He shook his head and told me that then he would have to pay taxes! Imagine the indignity of paying taxes. I had to agree with Ron that the notion was absurd.

So who are the people that pick up day laborers, pay them in cash, and don't care about the law?

The truck pulled up and like Hyenas the criminal aliens swarmed... that is until I got right in front of it and took a picture of the license plate! At that point they all laughed at the guy like he had been busted. You can't see the driver in this pic but he had his face in his hands. Needless to say, he didn't get to employ and illegal aliens today!

In a effort to break these posts up I'm going to stop now, stay tuned for more including me with an illegal alien who is proudly displaying his Matricula Card!

Cornelius consulate visit

Start by reading Jay's post. He did a good one. (And I know just who that shrill lady must have been)

Then I'll tease you by saying that I WAS IN THE BELLY OF THE BEAST! That's right. I showed up before all the people who know who I am got there and I got inside to see DHS and DCBS setting up their tables and even got some of the little goodies they offer:

They even gave me a piece of candy! Errr, your tax dollars even gave me that piece of candy.

Why not come to Oregon where you can get health care at taxpayer expense? You can see that this is the Spanish OHP.

At this point someone from the consulate (who I didn't know) asked me if I had an appointment. I left the room and went to the lobby of the "cultural center" where I was promptly surrounded by everyone. A worker there wanted to know what I was doing and if I wanted to talk to him.

I gave him my speech on respecting legal immigrants, this is a great country, blah blah AND I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS WHO ARE CRIMINALS. They are stealing and it's wrong to help them commit their crimes. At this point I was told to leave the building.

So I stood right out the front door and made small talk with anyone who would listen. It was going great until this squinty-eyed woman (who says she is going to sue me) started screaming at me. (We have since nick-named her "the college grad" or "Harvard" for short)

A little while later and they realized that they could kick me off of their property all together. As I was re-parking guess who shows up: Senator Bruce Starr!

Please take a minute to email him some thanks! He went inside to witness for himself what was really going on and says that department heads have some things to answer for after what he saw.

(At this time the illegal alien lobby had called the cops on me...) More in a later post, come back it's worth it!


We went around back to the "day labor" area and had some good conversations with the criminal aliens and I busted someone trying to pick them up! Stay tuned... I have to eat!

Yes, there should always be a place for criminals where they can go without fear of "retribution" for their crimes.

But I, your humble blogger, am on my way to this criminal sanctuary to protest/infiltrate/stop the Mobile Mexican Consulate and our state agencies from further assisting criminal aliens. The party of the little people... who are subject to the state

Our vision is to restore an effective and efficient government that will respect your rights, count your votes, rebuild the economy, and restore accountability.

Read it again. Who is going to do everything? Government! Democrats are not the party of the little guy, they are the party of government. This is most apparent in their support of the eminent domain ruling where people are kicked out of their houses and businesses so that new and "better" houses or businesses can provide government with more tax revenue.

We don't need government to "rebuild the economy," government isn't a revenue producing entity, get it the hell out of the way so that citizens can rebuild the economy!

Wyden to oppose Alito
Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden said Friday he will oppose Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito, saying he is not convinced that Alito will bring an impartial viewpoint to the court.

As opposed to ACLU attorneys who always bring an impartial viewpoint.

“I cannot reconcile the seemingly moderate and amiable jurist of the past few weeks” with Alito’s two-decade record as a federal appeals court judge and official in the Reagan and Bush administrations, Wyden said Friday.

Read: He doesn't support a woman's right to kill a baby for conveniance.

The goal post for what it takes to confirm a judicial nominee has moved dramatically. It is no longer good enough to say that the Judge is "qualified" but now his personal views are reason to disqualify him or her. I hope that we remember this next time a Democrat nominates someone.

Republicans should oppose anyone who supports Roe V. Wade. The litmus test needs to work both ways.

Also, I will be in Cornelius on Saturday to protest the first Mobile Mexican Consulate of the year. I will bring copies of the letter for any of you who don't want to use the ink yourself. You just supply the signature and stamp!

While I pray for this womans safety and feel terrible sorrow for the family I think that they have demonstrated the fundamental misunderstanding about terrorists. They didn't "pick the wrong person" because to a terrorist there is no "wrong person."

It is beyond even killing just "infidels" or non-muslims, they will kill anyone. You can't plead with them, negotiate with them, placate them, or convince them that you are not their enemy. The only thing you can do is neutralize them. I wish that more people would understand this.

Perhaps public art will help Kelley Wirth (D)-Jail

The Regional Arts & Culture Council in Portland, Oregon, is seeking artists for two public art opportunities at the Multnomah County Family Services Unit (FSU), 421 SW 5th Avenue, Portland. The Family Services Unit serves medium and high risk adult parolees with primary responsibility for very young children, families with juveniles under supervision as well as medium or high risk adult offenders. The goal of FSU is to build a positive and safe community by reducing intergenerational criminal behavior, promoting positive change in offenders, and impacting family relationships. Artwork that either literally or metaphorically is about families, relationships and associated activities will be considered. 1) Direct Purchase/Commission a collection of two-dimensional artworks from various artists; budget $15,000. 2) Site specific work for 7th Floor lobby space; budget $8,000.

Congrats to Portland taxpayers who are about to spend $24,000 on artwork for felons to look at.

Also, the percent for art program went from 1.33% to 2%. That means that the next time they spend $58 million to build an empty jail it will require $1,160,000 in artwork. I can now see why Oregon has assisted suicide...

Where we are heading

Holland's Euthanasia Law

Specifically allows euthanasia for incompetent patients. Persons 16 years old and older can make an advance "written statement containing a request for termination of life" which the physician may carry out. [Chapter II, Article 2, 2.] The written statement need not be made in conjunction with any particular medical condition.

Teenagers 16 to 18 years old may request and receive euthanasia or assisted suicide. A parent or guardian must "have been involved in decision process," but need not agree or approve.

Children 12 to 16 years old may request and receive euthanasia or assisted suicide. A parent or guardian must "agree with the termination of life or the assisted suicide."

It starts as something voluntary, it moves to a coerced situation when people don't want to burden their families, it move to and even more coerced/forced situation when the state doesn't want to be burdered, soon the "undesirables" are being killed in droves.

Kids who had a bad day at school or a fight with their parents can receive suicide assistance from the state. Life will be devalued.

Conference interprets ‘culturally competent’
“What is Cultural Competency? A Series of Conversations” spawned myriad questions, answers and opinions Thursday and Friday on what it means to be culturally competent and how to accomplish the task.

The general consensus of forum participants was that cultural competency is the ability to work alongside a broad array of people. How and when that is achieved, however, was debated.

See my previous post for the way that this nonsense has been defined (and re-defined) in the past. I think that they keep changing it because it's hard to push it on the public in it's current form.

Examples: Rather, cultural competence entails actively challenging the status quo and advocating for equity and social justice.

Exhibits awareness of key concepts: privilege, affirmative action, assimilation vs.pluralism, color blindness vs. color awareness, meritocracy, etc.

That's a little different than the ability to work with people. (which is a skill that the market takes care of pretty well right now, if you can't work with people then you get fired) What our elitist masters evision doing with Cultural Competency is damning caucasion males for their supposed "white privilege" and fighting for "social justice" such as the right to live on public property in a bum emcampment at taxpayer expense.

Hide the children

Hillary is coming to Portland! Perhaps she can visit our very own "village" that it take to raise a child, or at least give a child-like adult somewhere to be lazy... Dignity Village.

That's it, I can't take it anymore. Amongst my fellow bloggers (you can see their sites to the right) I am going to take a brave stand. One that could bring scorn and ridicule to me. But here it is: I believe that art should not be publicly funded. THAT'S RIGHT.

Noise from the right-wing blogosphere: Ooooh Daniel, you're soooo brave. Let's all stand together and give each other awards. No, no, not from people outside of our group, just amongst ourselves. Let's give Daniel an award for his brave stance on public art. We'll all wear $10,000 dresses to our ceremony (in the case of the women... and possibly me... hmmmm) and then talk about starving children.

Such is the case of the Golden Globes, the Emmy's and whatever other ridiculous awards ceremonies that exist amongst the self-important "celebreties."

As you now know the film Bareback Mounting, errr, Brokeback Mountain has collected several awards for it's "brave" portrayal of gay cowboys. (something we have yet to see in real life as cowboys don't choose to be gay like interior decorators as a career move or college students do to get attention or to get back and mommy and daddy)

But someone makes a film about cowboys who screw each other and amongst the awards, fanfare and adulation they are hailed as "brave."

Let this be a lesson in the liberal definition of "bravery" which is also why we don't see many liberals in the military.

Criminals aliens need help buying homes

Tools can help Spanish speakers avoid fraud
Mortgage documents and real estate disclosure statements are hard enough to understand for people whose first language is English. For those whose first language may be Spanish or Chinese or Russian, buying a home in the United States can be especially difficult.
Note: The whole "Chinese or Russian" thing was put in to throw you off the trail. This is about illegal aliens.

Hispanics are vulnerable because they prefer to work with professionals who speak Spanish, and that can expose them to the people who seek to exploit that, he said. Scam artists even use Spanish advertising to lure their victims, he said.
Hispanics prefer to work with people who speak Spanish? I'd love to have Scott Maben provide a source for his made-up little fact. What he meant to say was that Mexican citizens who are in this country illegaly prefer to speak Spanish.

Fraudulent practices include encouraging a buyer who lacks documentation of residency to use a false Social Security number in applying for a home loan. Buyers who do that not only break the law, they could lose their homes, Valez said.
Why wouldn't they think it was ok? The state of Oregon encourages them to do it with their drivers license numbers and employment applications. Once you've done it a few times and you realize that no one is actually verifying the numbers you start to think you can use them anywhere.

By the way, congratualtions to YOU loyal reader, you just got a drivers license under the name of Juan Mendoza-Lopez. Or at least according to your SSN you did...

Job description

Just so there is no confusion, let me tell you what the job of a criminal defense attorney is and isn't.

It isn't to "get you off" on a crime that you did commit.

It isn't so that you have someone to blame when you are sitting in jail.

It isn't to come up with wild alternate theories on who committed your crime.

It isn't to convince a jury that you didn't commit a crime you did.

It isn't to convince the judge that your feelings were hurt when you got arrested.

It is to offer the best defense they can based on your situation. If you did it then what can they do?

It is to keep you from getting convicted if you didn't do it.

I really believe that's what the framers had in mind. It sure makes more sense than what we have accepted as normal these days.

What would you do?

Situation:

A terrorist attack is imminent and the suspects are in your site, do you:

a) do what George Clooney would do and try to "understand" them

b) do what an ACLU attorney would do and make sure their "rights" aren't violated during the commision of their attack

c) do what Jack Bauer would do and shoot, knife, kick, punch and disembowel them until they are no longer a threat

If you answered "c" then you are a good American.

If you answered "a" or "b" then get out of my country. And if you are a male (not a man) and you are married then leave your wife and kids behind because you obviously can't protect them.

Now I see where they get their "buying power"

Bust nets meth, several arrests
Oregon State Police troopers pulled over a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe south of Medford at milepost 18. During the stop, the troopers received consent to search the vehicle. Drug-detection dog Cookie was sent to the scene and "alerted" on the vehicle.

The search yielded 8.5 pounds of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of between $90,000 and $100,000, officials said. In addition, $12,000 in cash was confiscated by the troopers.

The Tahoe’s driver was identified as 27-year-old Bertoldo Orta-Garcia. The passengers were 45-year-old Jose Lopez-Vasquez and 25-year-old Feliz Pacheco.

They also were put on immigration holds.

Congrats to the Mail-Tribune for mentioning the immigration hold. I now see the much touted "buying power" that is attributed to Spanish-speaking immigrants. Places like Wells-Fargo are just itching to store $12,000 in drug money.

Also, does anyone care if these criminals had a drivers license? I think that it would be better if they didn't, that gurantees a search of the vehicle by the cops rather than relying on consent. How many drug busts have gotten away because the driver had a license? (and a trunk full of drugs)

Fight over rules could limit use of Oregon ID
The Oregon driver's license is evolving -- under federal pressure -- from a simple proof of driving ability into a high-tech weapon against terrorism, identity theft and illegal immigration. Or, depending on your point of view, a frightening new tool for government spying.

If a drivers license that actually proves who you are, a license with requirements that all but a few states already have, is a "frightening" tool for government spying to you then your tin-foil hat is on too tight.

Oregon lawmakers approved some driver's license changes last year, but not the most controversial proposal, requiring evidence of citizenship or legal residence in the United States to get a license. Oregon is one of less than a dozen states without such a requirement.

But if the 2007 Legislature doesn't impose the citizenship restriction, the state's residents won't be able to use their license to board an airplane or enter a federal courthouse under a law President Bush signed last spring.

With our state government's track record we will probably sacrifice the citizens in order to continue to cater to the criminal alien demographic.

Leyva-Johnson argues that making it harder for people to get driver's licenses will encourage them to drive without a license -- and without insurance.

And locking your car doors is just more likely to make the burglar smash a window to get your stereo so just leave the doors open. Good logic.

Hearing Lars talk about this guy to Rep Richardson the other day really brought this one back to me. First, if DHS is so short of money why do they have a "migrant health coordinator"? And second, this guy has offered taxpayer services to illegal aliens in an email to me.

I have forwarded that email to Rep Richardson.

And if you have seen or read anything that Mr. Moreno has written it is very clear that he is a true-believer when it comes to supporting illegal aliens. While I respect people who have deeply held beliefs he is on the side of criminals and shouldn't have a job at DHS.

Migrant Health Facts

The report is full of conflicting data such as:

Documented and Undocumented Mexican Immigrants pay $25 – 30 billion in taxes each year.

Low income (half of the workers earned less than $7,500 a year)

I don't need to tell you that if you make less than $7,500 a year that you are not paying any federal income taxes and a pittance of other taxes.

I would urge you all to contact Rep Richardson and Rep Flores of the DHS Task Force and Bruce Goldberg, the head of DHS, to ask them if DHS really needs a Migrant Health Coordinator, especially one whose apparent goal is to help illegal aliens.

Transgender what?

For those of you over at Basic Rights Oregon, Human Rights Commission, and you Bryan over at Gay Rights Watch who insist that gender is merely an "expression" I would encourage you to read the book Why Gender Matters by Leonard Sax, M.D., Ph.D..

Dr. Sax's source notes are filled with University studies published in reputable medical journals. You can't argue with the science. (well you can but that makes you stupid)

Far from being a right-winger Dr. Sax focuses only on the actual hardwired differences in males and females in everything from how we solve problems, hear, see, relate, etc.

I'm about halfway through the book and while I don't agree with Dr. Sax on things like gender roles (he seems to oppose) and I haven't gotten to his chapter on gays and lesbians (perhaps he will insist that they are "born that way") I am facinated by the real differences in boys and girls.

I couldn't be more sure that children need a mother and a father to raise them. Not two mommies, not two daddies, not a sixteen year old girl.

Get the book, read it.

Saving $$$ at DHS

Another one of Daniel's lists of DHS cuts:

1. DHS Diversity Development Coordinating Council
The DHS Diversity Development Coordinating Council (DDCC) was formed on May 2000 at the request of the agency's administrator, Gary Weeks.
This means that the DHSDDCC (so tired of acronyms...) could be un-formed (not a real word) at the request of the new agency administrator Bruce Goldberg. bruce.goldberg@state.or.us

2. Fire James Mason, the administrator of the Office of Multicultural Health. Oh, and disband the office of multicultural health, fire all of those employees too.

3. Fire Gloria M. Anderson. The Cultural Competency/Confidentiality Coordinator. I don't think having someone coordinate nonsense puts any food in a hungry kids mouth.

4. Fire Alberto Moreno, the Migrant Health Coordinator who responded to a "sting" email I sent him and admitted that he could help "my undocumented friend" with health care. (this resulted in the acting director of DHS coming on the Lars Larson show and admitting that this employee violated rules.

Fox News reported that there are 3,000 murder suspects hiding in Mexico -fugitives from US law enforcement.

This high number of fugitives to Mexico is not surprising given thatMexican gangs and Mexican drug traffickers in the USA are the largest andfastest growing criminal enterprises in the country.

Saturday is the last chance for Mexican citizens living in Oregon to register for the historic presidential election in Mexico next summer, the first in which people can vote from abroad.

Oregonians and other U.S. residents who retain citizenship in Mexico make up 15 percent of the country's electorate.

Nice of The Statesment Journal and Gabriel Rico to provide this little tidbit for their illegal alien constituency. ICE should show up with paddy wagons and dogs to this registration and demand proof of legal residency of everyone who is a Mexican citizen.

Oregon Public Employees Who Strike Should Be Replaced - Government Services Should Not Stop
Grants Pass, Oregon - Union represented employees of Josephine County, Oregon, are on strike. They have made unacceptable demands on the County of Josephine and on its tax-paying citizens. County commissioners should immediately find replacement employees to fill all of the vacancies caused by strikers.

It's a follow-the-leader game. By negotiating for wages and benefits that match those of public employees in other higher-paid jurisdictions in Oregon, unionized public employees of one county continue to ratchet up their total compensation until a new compensation leader is created. At that point, all of the other unionized jurisdictions in Oregon have a new, higher target for the wages and benefits paid to their employee groups.

As the upward compensation cycle continues to escalate, total compensation for these public employees reaches an unsustainable level. It is common for public employees to negotiate wages and benefits that are substantially higher than their counterparts in the private sector.

What is striking anyway? It seems to me that it's some sort of childish tantrum. "I'm not happy with my job but instead of making it better or finding a different job I'm going to show you whose boss."

Guess what? If today I decided to stand outside my place of employment with a sign rather than go inside and work then I would be fired.

"But we don't get paid enough/have enough benefits/aren't happy/etc"

So what? Lot's of people aren't happy with their jobs. At that point you choose to move on to somewhere else.

If what government does is soooo important, and all the employees they have are soooo neccessary then how come they get to take these long leaves of absence and life somehow still moves on?

Really what's the worst that could happen if the authorities catch an illegal alien and then put him back into the community? Oh yeah, he could go on a killing spree in the D.C. area. We know this because Lee Malvo (the DC sniper) was an illegal alien who was caught and then released.

Why do they continue this practice? Especially when they know that the offender has been arrested for crimes other than immigration violations.

Ride-along

It's very important for people to enjoy different experiences. People should also see the effects of their choices and actions on others.

You are all familiar with the "police ride-along" where a member of the public goes with an officer out on patrol to see what they deal with.

I'm suggesting something similair:

The ODOT-Commuter ride-along. This would be some ODOT employee who made the decision to spend millions on a "multi-use path" that gets used maybe 10 times a day getting to ride along with an Oregon worker for their commute.

Perhaps not just one Oregon worker either. They could ride I-5 from Salem to Portland and then get out and ride with someone else back to Salem.

Experience the stop and go, the fact that you can go for miles and miles without ever breaking 20 mph, the fact that you are wasting gas and going to be late.

Perhaps the ODOT employee could wear some sort of pads and helmet and the commuter could punch them ever time they come to a complete stop. (or we could leave the pads out of this...)

Of course, after this program we should have the light-rail proponents ride the bus and MAX in January... in the rain... to go grocery shopping. See how they like it.

Open letter to Ted Kennedy:

Dear Pumkin Head,

Your drunken senile rantings amuse me. The large mishapen thing on top of your shoulders that you call a head amuses me. The endless sound bites that you provide talk radio amuse me. The fact that American citizens continue to vote you into office does not amuse me.

Sure, I compare it to the fact that more people vote on American Idol than they do on Presidential elections, that shows about eating bugs are immensely popular and the fact that some people dye their hair green and pierce every bit of skin that protrudes from their body.

I know that people are stupid. You are their king.

I know that it is of great concern to you that Judge Alito was a member of a group that had other members who wrote articles that you may find offensive. I too agree that we have a serious problem here.

It is a problem of double standards. Senator Byrd was a member of the KKK. They lynched black people. CAP published an article that opposed affirmative action and gay having children. (both of which I oppose)

Tell my lumpy head, which is worse? And when you tell me, try to do it coherently and without the prompting of Senator Feinstein.

As for you Republicans, (NOTE: This is not for you Arlen Specter, it makes me sick that a bald man like yourself could be so stupid. Being bald increases oxygen intake to the brain hence my superior intellect, it baffles me how Specter could be such a moron) anyways, you Republicans, next time we have a Democrat nominee I demand that you brutally interogate the man about whether or not he will support a babies right to live.

Make the entire confirmation proccess hinge on whether or not the nominee will vote to overturn Roe V. Wade. Make it very clear that you won't vote for any nominee who is not pro-life.

And Judge Alito, the funniest thing that you could do at this point (besides Ann Coulter's idea of telling Kennedy "we'll drive off that bridge when we get to it") would be to wait for the next question about "a woman's right to choose" and then ask "to choose what?"

And now a programming note: It's an election year. While neither of our Senate seats are up for grabs this year we do have some important issues to tackle. You will notice an increase in the number of "activism" posts. These are posts where I will provide links to send letters/emails or faxes, provide phone numbers, petitions, and special interest group information.

I would encourage all of you who are obviously interested in politics to commit to doing things to help the candidates and causes you are passionate about. The degree of effort you put into it determines the degree of effect you can have. An email is quick to send but also quick to delete. A phone call takes a little longer but forces a staffer to answer the phone. Money is always helpful for candidates and campaigns as is volunteer work.

One way that you can get involved at the local level is to attend a Republican Meetup. I have attended both the Washington County and Multnomah county meetups and it was a positive experience.

The point is: get involved. It makes no sense to just complain about the way things are if you are not willing to work to change them. We can change things in Oregon. Little things, big things. Things that will have domino effects. We can make our children safer, our companies more profitable and preserve our rights. Jessica's Law

Jessica's Law. So named because of the child victim of a vicious sexual predator in Florida.

What it does:

Protect Oregon children by putting violent sexual predator behind bars for a minimum of 25 years. It further protects the public by requiring lifetime monitoring of the predator once released from prison.

Many states have a Jessica's Law on the books. Oregon does not. This can be attributed to Senate Majority Leader Kate Brown who, you can infer, does not want child sex predators to serve long sentences.

Help sought in finding man accused of assaults
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a man last known to be in Golden Gate who is accused of assaulting his teenage wife and molesting a 14-year-old girl in Collier County.

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers officials said Vitavano Salazar-Lopez, 27, also known as Pablo Felipe Salazar-Cruz or Pedro Salazar-Cruz, faces charges in Miami-Dade and Collier counties, in addition to an attempted murder charge in Oregon.

Authorities said Lopez and his then-12-year-old wife entered the United States from Mexico in 2000. That year, Lopez is accused of stabbing a man near Portland, Ore., before moving with his wife to Homestead in 2003.

Why do these dirtbags always seem to choose Oregon first? I run across tons of news stories from other states about illegal aliens who are wanted for heinous crimes and many of them lived in Oregon at one time. (until those pesky warrants...)

Why is this? It's because Lorna Youngs personally goes to Mexico and knocks on people's doors and invites them to come here and get drivers licenses. Then Bill Brabury personally goes to Mexico and invites them to come here and register to vote. This is the same with the heads of DHS, OCDC, Education, etc.

My point, while sarcastic, is that we invite these criminals into our state with our illegal friendly laws. It could be stopped. It could be stopped by executive order. It would take a phone call.

Many States Do Not Verify Citizenship of Medicaid Applicants, HHS OIG Report Says, USA
Most states do not perform audits to determine the citizenship status of residents who seek Medicaid enrollment, according to a report recently released by the... HHS Office of Inspector General, the AP/Las Vegas Sun reports.

One state, Oregon, has performed an audit to determine how many noncitizens seek Medicaid enrollment. According to the audit, 25 Medicaid applicants in a sample population of 812 did not have citizenship. Oregon officials estimated that the state would have to pay an additional $2 million in the event that 1% of Medicaid beneficiaries did not have citizenship. Jodi Nudelman, an acting regional inspector for HHS, said, "The quality-assurance checks aren't there. That's how we see it." She added, "And it's our sense the people may not be aware of that."

I'm not sure why they used the 1% number of $2 million. The sample group of 812 had 25 illegal aliens, that's 3%. Does that mean we are currently paying out an extra $6 million for illegal aliens to come here and enjoy the best medical care in the world... absolutely free?

One of my truisms is that a wall with Mexico, while a good idea, isn't even neccessary. As soon as we stop giving them the goodies, the freebies, the ID cards, and the employment they will stop coming here.

The United States, and Oregon in particular, are like the Field of Dreams: (soft, echo voice) "If you give them welfare, they will come."

A ray of hope

Advertisers drop 'Book of Daniel'
Three of the five national advertisers that had commercials run during the debut airing of NBC's controversial "Book of Daniel" will no longer advertise on the program, states the organization leading the protest against the show.

According to American Family Association, just five advertisers ran spots during the program's two-hour premier on Friday night – and at least one of those got bargain-basement rates for the commercials the day before.

Those fundamental rights

Your argument of "it's the most fundamental right" is simply posturing but let's concede that it is. What about other "fundamental rights?"

To obtain a concealed handgun permit from the Marion County Sheriff's Office, you must:

Be a citizen of the United States of America. If you were not born a citizen of the United States, you must provide proof of citizenship, i.e., a U.S. Passport, Certification of Naturalization, or, if you were born on a military base, a Birth Certificate. If you are a legal resident alien, you must document continuous residency in Marion County for at least six months and declare in writing to the Immigration and Naturalization Service you intention to become a citizen and provide such proof of the written declaration to the sheriff at the time of application for a concealed handgun license;

Any Democrats willing to argue that requiring proof of citizenship is a barrier to obtaining a CHL? Doesn't that keep poor people from being able to adequately defend themselves? Where is the outrage?

C'mon, cite studies about how black people are less likely to have a handgun license but are more likely to be the victim of a crime. Talk about how this is a travesty, that keeping and bearing arms is one of our most sacred rights.

Tell us how societies "most vulnerable" really are the most vulnerable.

Then get back to the voting issue.

But this time talk about how unfair it is that you have to prove you are 18 and an Oregon resident when you register to vote. Tell us how unfair that is. That people are actually required to have a document that proves they live here and are of age. How will people possibly be able to do that? It's just unfair isn't it? How could a poor or elderly person possibly come up with these documents? Woe is us.

New endangered species: Oregon hunters, anglers
Chances are you don't hunt or fish. Fewer than one in 10 Oregonians hunt. Less than one in five of us fish. Those who do are vanishing faster here than almost anywhere else.
Your chances of being a hunter/angler are better if you read this blog because you are clearly better than the average Oregonian.

So what? you might say. Fewer wild animals are getting killed.

But hunters and anglers foot much of the bill for wildlife in Oregon, paying through their license fees to buy and restore wildlife habitat and for biologists to undertake duties such as dealing with bats infiltrating your attic.

"Frequently the people who want help are not hunters," said Ron Anglin, head of the wildlife division at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. "People have the mistaken notion that they're paying for the agency through their tax dollars, and that's generally not the case."

Instead, "the hunter carries the burden for all these other people who enjoy our wildlife."

PETA does not protect the animals in Oregon, the Sierra Club does not protect the environment in Oregon, Tre Arrow doesn't save Oregon's forests, it's the true conservationists who do that!

The people who enjoy our woods, lakes and rivers. The people who know that a trout or a turkey can be a worthy opponent. They manage the environment because they appreciate it. And it does need managing rather than "protecting."

Light-hearted Saturday

This blog is usually filled with depressing stories of illegal alien rapists, the fact that our government doesn't seem to care about enforcing it's own laws, our tax dollars going for public art while jails remain closed for "lack of funding," and government jobs with the word "diversity" in them being created faster than I can type.

But it has come to my attention that "the internet," which we all owe Al Gore a big round of applause for inventing, can be used for more than searching news, government sites, public records requests and online petitions.

So this post will focus on those silly little things that can only be found on "the internet."

First we will start with this video that shows something similair to the victory dance I will do when we start treating illegal aliens like the criminals that they are! (A google search of "Numa Numa" will reveal many variations of that video)

I can't do a post about stupid internet videos without including Star Wars Kid. Poor guy was goofing off in front of a video camera and his friends put it on the internet. Watch the original and the first remix. This one took the internet by a storm, it had news coverage and everything.

Multiple deportations

Rapist Arrested by Clackamas County Sheriffs Detectives
Jesus Del Carmen Gomez-Rodriguez, a transient and illegal alien from Mexico, will be booked into the Clackamas County jail on charges of Rape I, Burglary I and Assault IV.

The INS has deported him three times in the past. The INS last deported him in August of this year from Portland. Prior to his last deportation, he had been arrested in Clackamas County for charges stemming from several incidents of assault-both felony and misdemeanor, theft, criminal mischief, giving false information, and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle.

In the theme of We Need A Fence I think that I will continue to highlight some egregious examples of illegal aliens being deported and then walking right back across the border to commit further crimes.

This three-time deportee wasn't even gone 3 months since his last deportation before he was back in Oregon and raping women.

Single mother struggles with abuse, deportation issues
Over and over again, Adela Hernandez* asks herself, “What is best for my child?”

Five years ago, she came to Kansas City to learn English, so that she could come back and put her degree in Business Administration to better use. She soon met José*, a man originally from the same state where she grew up. They married in August of 2002.

It wasn’t long before Hernandez was pregnant and her husband was beating her.

The stereotype of the macho Mexican male, José drank heavily, was unresponsive to her needs, and imposed strict limits on her freedom.

José would leave the apartment for months, and one night was arrested for drunk driving and deported back to Mexico. Within a few weeks, however, he was back, and began beating her again.

It wasn’t long before he was arrested again for drinking. She visited him in jail, a few weeks before he was to be deported for the second time.

She began the arduous process of moving on, and when José, who had since moved to Oregon, would call, her family would hang up the phone.

So this wife beating, drunk driving, twice deported illegal alien moved to Oregon. He's breeding in Kansas but for some reason chose Oregon for his home. Is it because he could get help from DHS at the "Carousel of information?"

José moved back to Kansas City, was deported again, and returned once more, this time to Kansas City.

I think that I lost track of how many times this criminal was deported. This story is written as a public interest/sob story but it really illustrates what's wrong with our immigration system and open border.

Our government can't keep this guy out. If he decides to kill his wife then he will be able to do it. Deport him, he comes right back.

The question is not should we build a wall or can we build a wall but rather how tall should we make it and should it incorporate land mines?

My new plan

Genius. That's the only word for it.

First some background: I am constantly writing government officials with "public records requests." The most common answer I get is "pay us $X.XX and we will gladly send you this information."

So now I have come up with a plan. A brilliant plan.

You see, I've invented the world's most popular running shoe! I plan to start a company... I think I'll call it "Nike." I'll make millions.

Then when I ask for public records and I am told "no" I can simply send my army of lawyers to make fools of these stubborn "public servants" and get the information that I'm after.

Either that or I'll stick with my current plan: email these people endlessly until I find those few and far between state workers who are sympathetic to my cause and give me what I'm after.

So frustrating...

US agents shot at, tension mounts on Mexico border
U.S. Border Patrol agents have come under fire twice along the Rio Grande in Texas in recent days amid rising tension on the frontier with Mexico, although no one was reported wounded, U.S. authorities said on Thursday.

At what point do we decide that war has been declared? Vicente Fox has made numerous comments that were hostile to this country, his government encourages an illegal invasion by it's citizens and they shoot at us regularly.

I have been in panic mode. Why, why is our state doing this to us? The passage of the REAL ID act was long overdue and now Oregon may try to circumvent it.

And why is it that the only people that state government wants driving cars are the illegal aliens? They want the rest of us to take the bus (the MAX is even better) but not the criminal aliens, noooo, they are to good for that.

I have been emailing like crazy to

1) try to finish with my public records requests at DMV and

2) find out more info about this "drivers privilege card" and how we can stop this.

I am now soliciting ideas from all of you on how we can stop this. I have contacted my Representative (my senator, Charles Starr, thinks that illegal aliens should have in-state tuition so he was not contacted, which reminds me: Vote for Larry George in the republican primary in District 13) and several other reps as well.

Please contact your lawmakers and let them know that this matters! Unless you are a meth addict (not pointing any fingers but KELLEY WIRTH D-16) you don't want this state to be friendly to illegal aliens. Oh yeah, don't tell me about the whole "some foreign cars are assembled in America" garbage. They aren't American companies! I have a 401(k) and you probably do too, don't you want those American companies stocks to go up?

Kulongoski frequently has proclaimed his commitment to equal opportunity for all Oregonians. But when it came to appointing people to state positions, his actions didn't match his words. He initially appointed a preponderance of white men, as if they were the only ones who could handle state jobs.

I can see it now...

Kulongoski: We need to fill these positions, get me a list of white males.

Uh huh. Being realistic it probably went more like this:

Kulongoski: We need to fill these positions, get me a list of people I owe favors to.

But last year, one-fifth of his new appointments to state boards and commissions were people of color, and two-fifths were women. Those numbers represent a big improvement over his previous record. They are important not as a quota but as a way of bringing a broader spectrum of Oregonians into state service and building a state government that reflects, understands and serves its entire population.

It's not a quota and it's not about the numbers, their just counting for fun.

I don't care if my state workers reflect a "broad spectrum" of Oregonians, I just want the most qualified people for the job to get the position.

Miss Weathers was kind enough to respond to many emails previously but is now "unable" to. It had to have been pretty apparent as to what I was doing, I would email lists of names, all Hispanic, and inquire if they had been issued licenses.

With my current requests I had been hoping to compile a list of illegal aliens with DUII's and Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver charges to demonstrate the patently false claims that giving illegal aliens drivers licenses somehow makes them more responsible drivers.

Rest assured the project will continue. And I am also interested in whether or not Miss Weathers had been directed not to correspond with me anymore.

The state of Oregon has had ample evidence of two very distince choices it could make:

1. Reduce methamphetamine supply, crime, the burden on health care systems, the burden on welfare systems, and the burden on school systems by stopping the practice of issuing drivers licenses to illegal aliens, properly refusing to give them any type of government assistance and discontinuing the practice of participating in the "Carousel of Information."

2. Continue to make Oregon a state whose culture if friendly to illegal aliens and sacrifice our citizens to an environment where criminal behavior is rampant.

While Oregon government, and the governor in particular, have not yet made the correct choice they could do so at any time.

Cheaper healthcare

Illegals threaten closure of emergency rooms
Hospital emergency rooms in Florida may soon be closing their doors as a result of increased demands by uninsured and under-insured patients – many of them illegal aliens.

As a result, hospitals in Florida have lost surgeons and stand to lose entire surgical departments. Some hospitals are having a hard time getting physicians to work because they are choosing to work in other areas where they will be fully compensated for the treatment they give.

With hospitals closing and raising prices for patients who do have insurance is it any wonder why the health care system is seen as having a problem?

Illegal aliens are taking advantage of our country, these criminals come here and expect free care while citizens pay for it.

Take your pick, a barrier on the border between us and Mexico or a barrier between us and cheaper health care.

They're gay but not happy

My good buddy Bryan over at GayRightsWatch.com (They hate Christians and black people, I just have to keep saying that and it will be accepted as true) are sure that 2006 is the year that the homosexual movement takes off in Oregon.

My gut feeling is that if the Oregon legislature will not act - the movement will go from city-to-city, county-by-county until every single GLBTQ person in this state is protected by an anti-discrimination ordinance. And shit - if it were me, I'd be filing lawsuit after lawsuit until we see progress.

I know that if there was the law on the books that made assaulting people named Daniel more of a crime than assaulting someone named Bob then I sure would feel like an equal citizen... and I'll sue anyone who says otherwise!!!

Ladies and gentlemen we are no longer on the defensive. While we should never forget that we are and will continue to be under attack in some way or another - we will spend 2006 and beyond working for equality on our terms. Our community is now more visible than ever before.

I think that it's important to remember the ultimate goal of groups like Basic Rights Oregon: absolute gender neutrality, no limits on displays of sexual behavior, normalization of people who get sex changes, and if a man feels like a woman then he should be able to use the women's locker room!

In public BRO will speak of that eldely lesbian couple who has been together for 20 years as their example of what they are "protecting." They are a PR firm whose job it is to put a pretty face on degenerate behavior. They won't put the above picture on the front of their brochure.

When it comes to "gender identity" they try their best to put a pretty face on it but it's hard to take you seriously when you start talking about people expressing their gender identity in ways that "may not be considered appropriate for their assigned gender."

Those of you who know me have heard me say that we should not be giving money to the party. (state or national) This is why.

You give money to the Oregon republican party and who says that your donation isn't going to go to Ben "gay marriage" Westlund? You give money to the RNC and they will print "Holiday" cards with it or give it to Lincoln Chaffee.

Send a message to the party by only giving financial support to invidual candidates (Hint: Jason Atkinson) and the special interest groups that will not compromise on our values. (Hint: Oregonians for Immigration Reform)

And if you have an extra stamp laying around you might consider crushing up a charcoal briquette and sending it to the RNC with a "Happy Holidays" message inside.
