Live from Downtown Portland

Look how they love this country...

"We don't want to be illegal," said Alberto Rosales, who has been working here for more than 20 years and has four children who were all born here. "We want papers."

Two counter-protesters were also on the street. One carried a sign reading "Illegals go home, you are criminals." Another held a cardboard sign that read "If you are illegal leave, solve your problems back home" — until some younger participants took the sign from the man and tore it up.

Everyone has free speech but some people's speech is freer than others...

The Oregonian doesn't seem to have much of a problem with this crime being committed.

Chanting in Spanish, waving foreign flags and flags that support communist revolutionaries, yeah, these people really love this country.

Such criminals...unlike yourself... Correct?

Senor Rosales wants to be a legal resident. I want him to be a legal resident, too of Mexico, where he belongs. If Anglos were to give this country back to anyone, they would give it back to American Indians, not Mexican Indians. History can sound very different, depending on who writes it. But as a practical matter, these things are not decided by an appeal to historical precedent. They are decided according to whoever has the greater force of arms to defend his turf.

None of those you have pictured today look anything like Mexico's Counsel General to Oregon,Fernando Sanchez Ugarte who looks more like me than they.

Perhaps the decedents of Cortez are dumping their uneducated poor on the US and claiming we are racist when we complain.

"Remember the Alamo" is incomplete. The true quote is "Remember the Alamo, remember Goliad." Goliad! What am I talking about? Let me tell you.
After the attack on the Alamo, there were other Texans, formed into military regiments. One had 400 men and was outside a little town called Goliad. The leaders of this group of Texans knew they were badly outnumbered by Mexican General Santa Anna who had thousnds of men under arms.
The Mexican general offered terms to the Texans and they accepted the terms to lay down their arms in good faith.
The Texans surrendered expecting good treatment, instead Santa Anna took the Texans to a Catholic Mission outside the little town of Goliad and lined them up against a stone wall and had them shot in cold blood, executing all 400 men.
"Remember the Alamo, remember Goliad." was shouted as Sam Houston led his men into the Battle of San Jacinto where the Mexicans were defeated and General Santa Anna was captured, insurring Texas Independance.

Bill O'Reilly is for Amnesty. He says he is a student of history, but ignores the history of the 1986 Amnesty. What was the effect of the 1986 amnesty. More, much more illegal immigration. This is FOX and Bill O'Reilly, the amnesty crew.

Rush Limbaugh, give him credit and tune into him on 1190 KEX because he is telling the story and rejects amnesty. More people listen to Rush than O'Reilly. O'Reilly is getting his butt kicked because he is splitting the baby which he often does. The FOX News Channel is the AMNESTY Channel.

Anonymous said...

A lot of people knew for a long time O'Reilly split the baby, what took you so long?

Anonymous said...

Don't listen to the amnesty crew. They say we can't get rid of illegal aliens already here. That is flat out LIE. All we have to do is dry up the sources of support for illegal aliens. Prevent business from getting a business expense tax deduction for employees the business can't prove is a legal resident. This keeps the courts from clogging up, but sends a very strong message to business not to hire illegals. Stop illegal aliens from getting Oregon drivers license. Stop illegals from using banks. Put this all together and illegal aliens will self deport. After two years, then add pressure and work to deport the holdouts.

Insist on NO AMNESTY to Senator Gordon Smith, tell Smith he will not get your vote in the next election if he votes for amnesty.
Gordon Smith must be made to smell the acrid smell of defeat in his nostrils.

Anonymous said...

Remember, the illegals can't vote and neither can resident legals. These marches are hollow threats, but must be taken seriously. "protest today, vote tomorrow." is a false threat today, but is a real treat after amnesty. NO AMNESTY!

Rallying Cry "NO AMNESTY, NO AMNESTY, NO AMNESTY, NO AMNESTY, NO AMNESTY."

Anonymous said...

Anon -- Your racist-sounding nativist rhetoric is enough to make every voting citizen who's even close to being a minority support amnesty. You should have talked to Pete Wilson before you launched this campaign. Thanks for making this an election issue. Get ready to reap the whirlwind.

No amnesty=my vote.

It's pathetic, All I hear is what this country can't or won't do.
Can't deport lawbreakers.
Can't run our own ports.
Won't do some jobs.
Remember, all this negativity is coming from the media that can't do it's job and can't remember how this country became as great as it is. Screw these naysayers, buck up and kick some ass.
Our pioneer forefathers would be rolling in their grave to see the bunch of pansies we've become.

"We now have sufficient information to determine that these skeletal remains should be considered "Native American" as defined by NAGPRA. The results of recent radiocarbon dating of small samples of bone extracted from the remains were given significant weight in making this determination. This interpretation is supported by other analyses and information regarding the skeletal remains themselves, sedimentary analysis, lithic analysis, an earlier radiocarbon date on a bone recovered with the other remains, and geomorphologic analysis."

To Anon 11:31 AM, What racism? Sorry Charlie, that will not work. Can you point to one specific instance of racism? What, a history lesson is racist? Your arguments are bankrupt.
The racism you fail to talk about is your own. La Raza!? The race, Metcha, Nation of Atazlan. Give me a break. Mexican flags, hypocracy is thy name, look at Mexico's immigration policy. The charge of racism is the last refuge of a scoundrel who has nothing left.

The polls? They are turning against amnesty as the truth is winning out against media bias. You can't hide the spectacle of the protests of illegal aliens and the collaborators. You can't hide the threats of economic disruption if the illegal's demands are not met.

Hillary Clinton. The queen of hipocracy, ya, line up behind her. She is talking out of both sides of her mouth like most collaborators.

Unlike you, anon, who appears to be talking straight out of his ass.

Both Republicans and Democrats are against amnesty. This is a Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854 moment. The Act split the Country, split the Democratic Party, eliminated the Whig Party, and gave birth to the Republican Party. That act opened the territories to slavery, the Senate compromise AMNESTY bill opens the face of America to illegal aliens and "cheap labor". People back in 1854 knew slavery in the territories would undercut and displace free labor, the parallel is striking. Illegal cheap labor undercuts and displaces American Citizen's labor.

If we can't stop it now and our politicians sell us out to the illegal street mob and the Davos open border corporate elite, then they deserve nothing, but our scorn and rejection.

as bad as the oregonian is, the klamath falls herald & news must be the leading promoter for illegal aliens in oregon. during the week that began 3/25/06 this illegal-friendly rag ran three separate front page stories with accompanying 5 x 7 color photos below the fold and inside of happy mexicans in klamath basin. presumably they were legal but still the H&N hasn't met a mexican it didn't like. in fact an outsider would get the impression that mexicans comprise 50% or more of our population and are all hard working, happy, inciteful, clever, philosophical, religious and law abiding. but, the H & N publisher really licks herself all over during the may mexican celebrations. no surprise here. hell, according to FAIR rep. greg walden is a stealth open border mexican fan and gordon smith simply wants to legalize the entire nation of mexico. i'll bet the H & N agrees with that. if you like in klamath falls and are noticing more and more mexicans walking your streets during the day and night, you can thank H&N, Walden, Smith and the entire democrat party. Certainly there are others but you can start expressing your gratitude with them.

The Mexicans are hypocrites. Why, look at their immigration policies, but also look at Cinco de Mayo. What does it celebrate?
It celibrates the ousting from Mexico of an Austrian Duke, Maximillion, placed on the throne by French Emperor Napoleon III.
A Mexican army defeated Frances' minions. Eventually, the defeated Maxmillion was executed by the victorious Mexicans.

Now Mexicans and their collaborators want the American people to roll over. FORGET ABOUT IT. The game is up, you Davos, open border, corporate elite; Americans aren't turning over the Country to illegal, border jumping Mexicans. No Amnesty. Political defeat for turncoats who promote amnesty.

Illegals' Amnesty Could Cost $60 Billion a Year, Group Says

(CNSNews.com) - If an illegal immigrant amnesty or guest worker program similar to the ones being contemplated by the U.S. Senate and supported by President Bush were enacted, the cost to state and local governments would be staggering, an immigration reform group charged Tuesday.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimates that state and local costs associated with illegal immigration for public education, health care and incarceration, now about $36 billion a year, would balloon to $61.5 billion by 2010 -- a 70 percent increase -- and increase to $106.3 billion by 2020.

As a result of an amnesty and a vastly expanded guest worker program, millions of current illegal aliens would gain legal access to government programs and services, a FAIR analysis states.

Moreover, newly legalized aliens would be allowed to bring their dependents to this country, adding to the burdens on schools and public health care. Similarly, state and local governments would have to provide for the education and health care of the dependents of the 400,000 new guest workers called for in the Senate proposal.

"From every possible angle, an illegal alien amnesty and guest worker program would be a fiscal and administrative nightmare," said Dan Stein, president of FAIR. "Never mind the fact that an illegal alien amnesty is a moral betrayal of the American public and immigrants who played by the rules.

"It would be an unfunded federal mandate that will bankrupt states, counties and cities all across the United States," Stein added.

Contrary to claims by proponents of amnesty, the tax contributions of newly legalized illegal aliens would not offset the additional costs, he stated. The estimated 12 million illegal aliens in the U.S. are overwhelmingly poorly educated and low skilled.

Even with legalization, their earning potential would be very limited, Stein noted. With the ability to legitimately claim dependents on their returns, their tax contributions would be negligible at best, and with programs like the Earned Income Tax Credit, many will actually get more back than they pay in.

None of the federal or local costs associated with an illegal alien amnesty or a massive guest worker program has even been considered as part of the Senate's deliberations, he said.

When asked point blank about the ramifications of their proposed legislation, Senate amnesty and guest worker supporters admitted that they have not been worked out. "The devil is in the details," said the ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, Patrick Leahy of Vermont.

"'The devil is in the details' is an utterly reckless and irresponsible way to conduct public policy," responded Stein. "The fiscal, social, environmental and demographic consequences of what the Senate is proposing would be staggering.

"In an effort to respond to special interest pressure, the Senate and the Bush administration seem prepared to rush forward without any rational assessment of what it would mean for the future of the nation," he noted.

"We have seen where the 'devil is in the details' approach has gotten us in Iraq. The president and others pushing amnesty and guest workers have an obligation to think this one all the way through before acting," Stein concluded.

A breakdown of the calculation of amnesty costs and a state by state impact analysis can be found at FAIR's website.
