It's times to realize that you messed up, admit that you were wrong and use your majority in the Senate to do the right thing (which you don't care about) and make sure these people never get a chance to vote Democrate. (which you do care about you self-serving low-lifes)

From Lars Larson's interview with Senator Gordon Smith, this week :

"Lars : Senator, look, how can anybody draw the conclusion that this bill in the Senate is anything but amnesty?

Smith : Lars, amnesty is in the eye of the beholder ... and everybody has a different definition of "amnesty". I'm not for amnesty, but that's "as I see it". "

O-M-G.

Senator Smith, you're a liar. The word "amnesty" does not have a hundred different definitions, it has one. To spell it out for you : amnesty is a general pardon; it means you can no longer be brought to justice for your crimes.

That's what it means, and it doesn't mean anything else.

A great post! Let's not forget - even from the Republican party - who has whimped-out and decided NOT to enforce law and order, and instead, fell to the pressure of special-interest groups.

Those people should not recieve even 1 vote from Republicans! This includes Senator Smith or anyone that doesn't know the difference between amnesty and law enforcement.

Here how a real American leader addresses illegal immigration:

"Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Source that list for me Roger Dodger...

Lets be quite clear, the corporate elite serve at the pleasure of the American people during their good behavior. The for amnesty, corporate elite are subject to the law like everyone else.

The corporate elite shall pay the price of open collaboration with a foriegn element who have come into this country illegally, and openly massed to make demands and threaten retaliation and retrobution if their demands are not met (thats a pretty damm good definition of an enemy to me.). The illegal aliens threaten economic disruption and dislocation in the BILLIONS of Dollars.

Roger doger you could list evey damm corporation and I would not care. The American People control this country not the corporate elite.

The political handmaidens of the corporate elite like Gorden Smith will who vote for the compromise bill in the Senate or any bill vaguely or remotely enacting any form of amnesty will recieve the political kiss of death. United States Senator Gordon Smith will be political road kill with his rotten stinking guts laying in the snow of early November '08.

Daniel, I think Roger's list comes from here...

www.lulac.org/programs/corpall.html

Their website says that these are, "Corporations participating in the Alliance work with LULAC in developing national and community-based programs to address the needs of the Hispanic community and to ensure that the nation's future workforce obtains the necessary education and skills to keep America productive."

That doesn't look like those corporations support amnesty per se to me; roger doger you look a little naked hanging out in the wind. Roger don't be surprised when the corporate elite know the game is up, they will turn tail and run like a kicked dog yelping under the garage door.

The corporations are partners with LULAC--thats old.
