Try living there

http://www.americans-for-chavez.com/

Just something I find funny. Dumb Americans (probably a lot of college kids) who think that socialist countries are just the greatest.

Strange how everyone, including poor people, are trying to get to America for the economic opportunities yet the Chavez lovers insist that Venezuela is the place to be. Needless to say they haven't actually been there themselves but their professors all insist that it's a liberal utopia.

Oh, and don't buy CITGO gas.

You should join in this silent show of respect to honor our fallen heroes.

"[T]the Chavez lovers insist that Venezuela is the place to be."

Door. Ass. Bang.

Oh, and Fred Phelps is an idiot.

That is all.

I don't know anyone outside of Phelps' family that doesn't think he is a complete whackjob.

I disagree. If Chavez can make it so Venzualians are happy at home, more power to him.

If you don't buy CITGO gas, they surely will come.

I've noticed that many liberals talk big about leaving, but drat the luck, they're all liars.....whoops, big surprise!!!

BTW, why is it that when liberals are caught with their hypocritical pants down, they can only whine, "quit calling us names, you mean old conservatives?"

Mike only knows two people, but there is no one that acknowledges knowing him.

My standard retort to liberals who have just completed a rant on why America is bad/evil etc ., is "America, if you don't love it, leave it. I hear Cuba is nice."

This is usually met with indignation.

The US should tell Chavez to keep his oil, open the Alaskan reserve for drilling, keep getting Saudi oil for the time being, and continue buying from Mexico if they will do something substantial to radically curb, if not completely stop, their citizens from becoming illegals here. And if Mexico will do nothing to slow down the mass exodus from their country, then radically curb the purchase of their oil.

Maybe, as a further incentive for Chavez to stop his anti-American rhetoric, the US could set up a blockade of Venezuelan waters to prevent tankers from hauling out their oil, much like we did during the Cuban missle crisis in the 60s. This sounds radical, and very likely won't happen, but I think it would have a positive effect in that it might get Chavez's attention. Or maybe not.

As far as Fred Phelps and his gang of "christians" are concerned, when they show up at the soldiers' funerals, the cities involved should deny them all services, no gas, no food, no motel rooms, no anything at all. And they could charge them with unlawful assembly, or operating without a "parade permit" or something. They should do whatever it takes to set these scumbags know that they are not welcome. They call themselves "Christians", but, in reality, the radical Islamo-fascists are more "Christian" than Phelps and his scumbags are.
