Look Ma, a bunch of bigots. How did you get all the blue hairs to show up? Did you promise a round of free bingo?

What does foreign flags have to do with anything?

To all the clueless, socialist, anti-Americans out there; b.m. is your King.....sheesh.

Yes bear, I am an anti american because I asked a simple question.

Because everyone claims to not be racist, yet they say "Look no foreign flags"

I love how if someone doesn't agree with your beliefs you call them anti-american, great tactics

bm...if you look at the pics closely and enlarge them on both sites (daniels and citizen caucus) you will not see any racist comments. You will NOT see "Taco-benders go home". You will not see the words..Spic,Greaser,Beaner,Brown Scum etc., etc. etc. I was there and there was none of that......NOT EVEN ME. All i did was hold an American flag. NOW, I KNOW IN YOUR MIND,THAT IS A HIGHLY RACIST THING TO DO....but i did it anyway, KNOWING that you would dissaprove. I enjoy immensely, getting you mad....it makes my day to see all you socialist spewing assholes get your undershorts in a knot.....therefore i will continue to disobey your wishes.
By the way....there is 1 (ONE) flag for this nation and it does not have any green in it....ALL OTHER FLAGS ARE FOREIGN FLAGS!!!!!!

The problem is that the liberals don't listen.

We don't mind people coming to this country...LEGALLY. That is why when we say we're not racist, we mean it! I love ALL people...but come legally.

You pegged me there Bruce, let me tell you how infuriated I get by you, and your comments...

P.S. that was sarcasm.

All I wanted to know is, what difference does it make that there is no foreign flags, if you are only talking about "illegals"

p.s.

Bruce you should know I have nothing but love for you. I too appreciate the Amercian flag I keep meaning to post a picture of the flag that I like a lot, I am just not as computer literate as I would like to be.

I also apreciate being called a liberal, just because I don't see eye to eye with you(B.M.L.)on everything.
But that must just be because I am Kool-Aid drinker huh?

It does make a difference. They're breaking laws by being here illegally from countries other than the U.S.

They want people to follow the laws of THIS country, which means coming here legally.

But Bruce -- We've all read your racist vitriol before...right here on this blog. Now I'm no proponent of doing this, because it is ultimately short-sighted, but certainly you can see how some might jump to the conclusion that since you are a racist (who if I remember correctly, feels that the country is getting a little too Hispanic, whatever that means), those that choose to associate with you must also be racists.

It's a very easy and all-too-human mistake. Indeed it's the very fallacy that "the other side" makes in reducing everyone in favor of legislation that allows the undocumented a path to regularization and citizenship anarchists, just because of a few radical elements in our midst. It's a very unproductive line of reasoning.

So what are you, B.M., if you're not a liberal? You're obviously drinking kool aid, so if the shoe fits...

I am pointing out the difference between the no amnesty rallies and the yes amnesty rallies. At the yes amnesty rallies there were Mexican flags everywhere. This infuriated a lot of Americans and the unions told the marchers to carry American flags.

We don't have to be told that. We are proud of America and know that it is the greatest country on this planet.

yeah, and if the American economy didn't provide enough growth for the population which would result in you working in another country (legally or illegally) you'd still wave your American flag because you have pride in your heritage.

I wonder if you're quick to criticize those with confederate flags? Same concept, or do you only focus on one side of the equation. That'd be my guess...

Daniel – Mexican flag? Who cares? I don’t? So they’re proud of where they come from. Good for them. That type of expression and pride in origin has existed in this country throughout its history. You create a false dichotomy in positing that one can’t simultaneously be proud of where they come from and a productive, American-in-the-making at the same time. It would be one thing if you could produce some evidence to actually back up your hysterical assertion that today’s immigrants aren’t assimilating, but every piece of credible research evidence shows otherwise – in terms of work, language, family, etc. – they’re becoming Americans.

Have you ever read Adorno’s The Authoritarian Personality? You should. You’re a textbook case.

As for this being the greatest country on Earth, sure, I can agree to that. Every time I leave the country I’m happy to get home, but am not so blunt as to recognize that this has a big part to do with the minor fact that I was born and raised here. Yet, I’m really starting to wonder…This nation is in big trouble, and it has little to do with illegal immigration, which has been going on, more or less, for the past 100 years. My biggest concern is with this massive debt we’re carrying. How are we going to pay this one down? Especially with this war, of which, other than W (another textbook case), no one seems to believe that there is a near end?

Do you honestly think that Daniel or any of his blogging-buddies would even know what Adorno or any other theorists have to say? Would you even see them critically analyze Mills? Just look at people like Bill who does not even understand the meaning of an ellipsis. If these people knew theory, they would not be having this discussion.

We need to start slow with picture books about sharing and being kind, and then you could throw in Adorno.

Using this logic, I steal because you need to share...

That doesn't make sense. And this is basic theory? This is why we're having this conversation. Because your "basic theory" is ridiculous.

sharing and being kind? It's like saying we should look the other way with theives because they need stuff and we have it. We need to share more. Next up is a group hug.
