Illegal aliens as security screeners then?

Homeland Security accepts fake ID
The Department of Homeland Security allowed a man to enter its headquarters last week using a fake Matricula Consular card as identification, despite federal rules that say the Mexican-issued card is not valid ID at government buildings.

Bruce DeCell, a retired New York City police officer, used his phony card -- which lists his place of birth as "Tijuana, B.C." and his address as "123 Fraud Blvd." on an incorrectly spelled "Staton Island, N.Y." -- to enter the building Wednesday for a meeting with DHS officials.

Some members of Congress tried to crack down on use of the card, particularly as valid ID for opening a bank account, but the Bush administration opposed that effort.

Read that last part again then tell me that Bush is serious about fighting the war on terror. I'm sorry but he's not. He's put your family and my family in danger and he doesn't care because the WSJ editorial board and the chamber of commerce like illegal alien labor.

Clearly we need an illegal alien to be president to do the job of securing America that Bush clearly doesn't want to do.

NOTE: This is why ORBUSMAX is my homepage, because every morning I wake up and get news stories galore (mostly Northwest) in a simple format.

sounds to me like President Bush is not upholding his oath of office...again

our political system is centuries-old without any checks and balances in place. Times have changed. We have people on both the local and federal level who are in government for their own self-serving reasons.

they know that once elected they can do what ever they want without any recourse. Ted Kulongoski is an excellent example of that.

so unless we are thinking about revising the laws that dictate the behavior of our leaders, unfortunately we're just preaching to the choir.

Here we go again, a bunch of un-American jerks bashing the President. I need not remind you that President Bush was elected to run this counry. You as well as I voted for him. We charged him with making tough decisions. He is doing that. If you disloyal idiots don't like it, get out. Love it or leave it.

anonymous...Bush is doing nothing. You're taking the side of criminals using fake IDs to get free stuff and sell drugs. Even worse, you're taking the side of terrorists using these same IDs to enter our country, get on planes, and blow people up.

I thought Bush was the "decider". You saps put him in office, now you reap the "benefits". Looks like he sold your sorry asses up the river-what goes around comes around.

If by "you saps" you mean "the American people", then you're right. What goes around affects EVERYONE, not right-wing Republicans. You're directing your hatred at the wrong people (and being a hypocrite in doing so).

Just because you didn't vote for him doesn't make you exempt.

I support the President in his decision. He is a good President for listening to what the majority of Americans wanted in Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Unfortunately, amnesty isn't what the majority of Americans want.

I voted for the guy... so what. I can still criticize him for what he is doing wrong. He is not protecting the American citizenry.

I voted for President Bush Twice and I have to say that I am very disapointed. A Republican Majority in the house and senate could accomplish so very little is unbelieveable .The President is catering to illegal aliens and big business in every way that he can, ( it should be very obvious to all) He is a politian and like all politians,He lies and conives to get laws passed that gets his party money and power. The only thing we can do is try to remove those Senators and congressmen who voted for illegal alien amnesty . I sincerly wished I thought the President was doing what the majority of Americans wanted But he keeps repeating "we can't do" this,"We can't do" that,But we can if we try! Illegal aliens can be moved out, especially , if they can't get work ,welfare, free medical attention and other free handouts. Yes we can.Just because one disagrees with a politian does not make one disloyal to our country.I wore the uniform for 32 years to make it so.
