Religion of Peace update

Thai man beheaded during lunch hour
BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) - Suspected Islamic separatists beheaded a man at a teashop Wednesday and then left his head in a sack on the side of the road, the latest in a series of bold attacks across southern Thailand defying government attempts to restore peace.

In separate incidents also attributed to suspected Islamic militants, two bombs were detonated in Narathiwat province, injuring eight people, including two Buddhist monks.

It was the fifth beheading in just over two weeks.

No condemnations came from the US Senate due to the fact that the victim was not made to stay in a room with the air conditioning off, pee himself, or have his Koran flushed down the toilet.

Seriously though, when you think about the multiple global conflicts right now, how many of them involve Muslims? Why can't these people get along with their neighbors or fellow countrymen? Whether you think about nations like India-Pakistan or the genocide being commited by Muslims in Africa, it sure seems to me like the religion of peace isn't as peaceful as PBS would like us to believe. What is really amazing is how the media refuses to admit this. Terms like "Chechen rebels" are used with no indication that these rebels are Muslim extremists.

, I really don't see why WE should in turn be intolerant. By being tolerant, WE have the moral high ground, and when they attack, WE can justifiably defend ourselves. By being tolerant, THEY lose motivation to rebel against us.

The above posted by a "LIB".

Lets all stand around and when you lose your head....THEN, you can fight back, as I have said before...This is why Savages book is selling so well, lib insanity!

Just nutty. They keep using the word "tolerant" when talking about people who would cut your head off, you kid's heads off, you spouses head off, all in the name of Allah.

That is why the terrorists think we are weak. Liberal sissies give us all a bad name.

Tolerant? That's nutspeak. Orwell would be so proud.

I thought that after the first beheading, Bush was going to go after the people that did it.

I do not recall hearing anything in the news about any such action.

At times, I think we did it to ourselves by being a "paper tiger"

I remember several years ago during a hostage situation where Americans and Russians were being held hostage. The US was trying to negotiate, the Russians gave them 48 hours or else.

They released the Russians.

I wish that they would be more vocal in condemning the terrorists behavior. I can't think of a single Islamist group that has made high profile condemnations of suicide bombings in Israel. Can you?

There have been several American-Muslim groups that have condemn these actions. There haven't been as many such condemnations from the Muslim community worldwide though.

Of course, it should be easy to understand why. If some Muslim group in Egypt, Iraq, Turkey or Indonesia did issue a strong condemnation, the militants would immediately go after them.

Fear often is a great motivator to keep people quiet.

Robin, Bush is definitely not perfect but his response to 9/11 was the correct one.

Clinton caused the "paper tiger" comment from Bin Ladin with our withdrawl from Somalia.

We know that through a tough stance followed by tough action is the only way to beat this enemy. We are currently being a little too sensitive in this war for my comfort.

Trey,
There have been several American-Muslim groups that have condemn these actions.

Which groups?

the militants would immediately go after them

They can do this with impunity because the general muslim public tolerates them. There is not a unified voice against them.

Another "Lib" post recieved:

As far as the folks who want to cut our heads off, they'll just have to mellow with age.

My response:
How long have these people, who have sworn to cut your head off, been swearing that they will? There is no mellowing with age here?

Yes, lets just wait and appease them...maybe a couple of more generations and we will win this one by just talking "nice".

Maybe we better take a different approach.

As my son said, who served in Iraq, "Dad, they are not all not like that, but the ones who are need killing!"

"mellow with age"

That is hilarious! Yet the liberals are outraged about Karl Rove's recent comments about how the Republicans wanted to kill our enemies but the libs wanted to get them therapy! It's so true that it's scary!

Another lib post to me, speaking of Bush "43".

Yeah...but this guy would not of won Dog Catcher without his Dads machine-------------- Very limited...

My response:

YES...but do you want a Randy Leonard type?..Heard him today telling KXL listeners that the whole problem with everything is the right wingers/Christians/ non tolerant folk's who do not celebrate diversity. The bastard sure plays the demografics here.

The point of this is simple, I want a leader that puts me first, not the world, and WTF they think.
