Commitment to diversity

In yet another shining example of the left's commitment to diversity and free speech I have been banned from posting comments on the BlueOregon blog. However wild conspiracy theories, support for higher taxes and homosexuality, and religion bashing (except for the sacred religion of peace, Islam) will still be allowed.

At blueoregon when you leave a comment there is a spot for your name, email, and URL. If I put my url as http://danielisright.blogspot.com then it won't let me post. If I try to put the URL somewhere in the comment section it won't let me post.

So I can still leave comments but not in my "official" capacity, I have to be an anonymous type user.

Its a liberal blog, live with it, your damn party runs the roost on banning people, see how it feels for once.

Ha ha ha ha! That's a good one anonymous. I couldn't agree more.

Anyone is allowed to post here. I certainly am not afraid of debate. I guess BlueOregon is.

Daniel... I think our guidelines are pretty clear. From the post in which we linked to your blog:

(And before y'all go crazy... No, this isn't about censorship, it's just about creating a place for progressives to have a conversation. If we're spending all of our time fending off Red Oregonians, then the volume goes up and we can't have good conversation here. Start your own blog, go talk elsewhere, and feel free to criticize what happens here over there. Thank you.)

Not only have you been engaging in silly left-right arguing, you've also been posting links that have nothing to do with your comments. If you had a comment that linked back to a specific page on your blog that had more information/exposition, that would be fine. Instead, your links are more like a comment spam.

Feel free to post your thoughts about posts at BlueOregon right here at DanielIsRight. We've made an editorial decision - not a censorship one. You have all the free speech you need right here.

I guess that I'm just not welcome at that lunch counter...

I would hate to ruin the "good conversation" that looks like this:

Can California, Oregon and Washington please secede already. We'll hook up with BC. It actually could be an impressive state with a stong economy built around a solid environmental paradigm. I can dream :)

Believe it or not, there is a hemorrhoid clinic on NE Sandy Blvd., but I’m inclined it had something to do with closing the airbase.

There is also the one and only Spartacus Leather…

he was picking up a ball-gag for the next Oval Office party...GW's coming as the official "gimp".

Yes, good conversation for liberals involves talk of secession and S&M jokes about the president and vice president. I can see how I wasn't contributing to the "intelligent" conversation...

Wrong, Danny. A lie, Danny.

BlueOregon has pulled a few of your "articles" when you had a wee bit of trouble staying on topic and keeping your filthy mouth clean.

You WISH you were banned, that'd give you more hits, huh?

Nice try!

Come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together and come along one another right now.

Can you please give me an example. I certainly am not having a problem keeping my "filthy mouth clean."

Daniel, Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Conversing with them is akin to arguing with a drunk.

I cry so much I sing:

Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!

Jordan's river is chilly and cold, Hallelujah!
But it warms the human soul, Hallelujah!
This old world is a mighty big place, Hallelujah
It got Satan all over its face, Hallelujah
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!

They put Daniel in the lion's den, Hallelujah
And he walked right out again, Hallelujah
The reason them felines permitted that, Hallelujah,
Was that Daniel had no fat, Hallelujah
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!

Did you hear what old Jonah said, Hallelujah
When the world thought he was dead, Hallelujah
I was taking' me a ride, Hallelujah
In that big old whales inside, Hallelujah
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!

Old man Noah built an ark, Hallelujah
Worked from dawn 'til after dark, Hallelujah
When he left for foreign shores, Hallelujah
Had a big family but had no oars, Hallelujah
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!

They nailed Jesus to the Cross, Hallelujah
But his faith was never lost, Hallelujah
So Christian soldiers off to war, Hallelujah
Hold that line in Arkansas, Hallelujah
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!

Joshua at Jericho, Hallelujah
Alabama's next to go, Hallelujah
So Mississippi kneel and pray, Hallelujah
Some more buses on the way, Hallelujah
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!
Michael row the boat ashore, Hallelujah!

New Leaders Council Portland City club said on their blog:

In addition to introducing folks to one another, we also put up a big whiteboard and asked everyone for ideas for future New Leaders programs. What topics were of interest? What's important? What's timely? What should we be looking at?

Here are a few of the many ideas that we transcribed:

Portland's problems with meth drug use
A tour of the Tillamook Forest
A Big Pipe River Tour
A look north to Canada: economic issues, 2008 winter Olympics, social politics
Green building practices
The effect of Measure 37
Role of volunteering in the culture of Portland
Expanding the UN Security Council
Health savings accounts/ITC reforms
The Portland Brewing scene (why is it here, does it matter?)
Mt. Hood development
Generating electricity at home
Elder care--trends for future--affordable housing, hospice, healthcare policy
Privatization of Social Security
Changing the "culture" of a company or field
Accountability in city government with a focus on both bureau and citywide levels
NW Film Center/art & culture in Portland and how that shapes our community

Dear new city leaders:

When one of your own approached (10) of you, with an estimated net worth of a billion dollars combined to take back this city from those who flat do not want a good business climate, we asked for 70,000 dollars to run a recall of Vera Katz, too really send a message downtown that it is the people who will not stand for the crap they have dealt you people who are the rock of the economy, who provide jobs, and who really make Portland what it can be.

Well, the bravado at the bar at Jake's got spent in a hurry. Some would only give if their names were not on the money reports, some said no, because all were "afraid" of repercussions with council.

If all you have, is the above list to discuss and work on, instead of throwing just one of these people out the door, thus sending a clear message that the crap we get now is not good, then you all deserve what you are getting.

Dont worry, Daniel. Its just typical for the "progressives". I went to Blue Oregon hoping to get another viewpoint on politics. So many political blogs now are just your typical talking-points rhetoric, on either side.

Well, after a few name-calling sessions from the "enlightened" ones over at Blue Oregon, I came to the conclusion they are not any different over there.
The "progressives" are all the same- no real answers or ideas, just name-calling and intolerant ranting.

The Minstrel is saddened enough to sing another song:

We shall overcome, we shall overcome,
We shall overcome some day
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome some day

We shall all be free, we shall all be free,
We shall all be free some day
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome some day

We shall live in peace, we shall live in peace,
We shall live in peace some day
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome some day

One day I hope that I will be as tolerant as BlueOregon...

Go ahead progressives, try to secede. I would like nothing better than to see the next civil war to get underway. Why? Because I can no longer EXIST in the same country as them.
