FACT: In Fiscal Year 2001, the total cost for emergency medical care for illegal immigrants in California was more than $648 million. At the same time, the California Association of Public Hospitals notes that California’s public hospitals face a $600 million a year budget deficit.

So when we have a constant drumbeat of "health care costs too much," why do we have an Oregon hospital, Providence Newberg, encouraging the people who are bankrupting our health care providers to visit them?
Why should the illegal aliens feel welcome when the rest of us are paying for their care in our higher premiums, higher doctor bills, and more waiting time?
And that doesn't even address the fact that this is America dammit. Let's celebrate the 4th of July because that's our independance. We are not Mexico. Our former president's are not facing arrest for massacres.
Do we celebrate Independence Day for Latvia? How about Kenya? What makes Mexico special?
I'll tell you. Certain people and groups feel that they are promoting "diversity" by creating a more illegal alien-friendly environment.
When people ask me what we should do to stop the lawbreakers who violate America's soverienty I always start with the fact that we must make our country and state less hospitable, less friendly, and less encouraging to the illegals. What we have here is the exact opposite.

How about a boycot of 5th of May festaval?
The City of Salem gave up the Cinco de Mayo festival a few years back when the insurance company bailed the day before the event. Perhaps the knife sharpening concession gave them pause? Ever since it seems nobody promotes or advertises Hispanic gatherings as they usually result in violence.

Meanwhile with the other side of the "Progressive" Lefties mouths we are told that Columbus (remember Christopher, the guy looking for a passage to the New World?) was a racist who practiced genocide against the Natives he met, so we should NOT celebrate Columbus Day, oh no musn't do that! And that on Thanksgiving day we commemorate the Pilgrims genocide against the American Indian. Bad white men, bad!

Meanwhile, just continue to fund any and all illegals - notice I said 'illegal', who come to this country, because we are such an open and progressive community, welcoming everyone, no matter what. What's that you say? It's going to cost me more of my hard earned money to fund these illegal (sorry, 'undocumented') immigrants in Oregon? Pshaw! We'll just raise taxes, it's what we do. Throw more money of ours at the problem, instead of sending these 'guest workers' packing, that always helps, doesn't it?
Do people come here to be Americans, or what? Do they come here to celebrate OUR history and culture - which is a "melting pot" of all who've come before, or to make us part of theirs?
Fix the borders, Mr. President. Enforce our immigration laws, Mr. Bush. Stop kissing Vincente Fox's pinata, and remember what country you're the President of, sir!
OREGON AND WASHINGTON Representatives are under the Oregon Constitution requiring them to restrain and regulate immigration only to those who are qualified to become citizens of the United States. This applies to the modern States of Oregon and Washington.
Oregon Territorial Constitution was never rescinded by the territory, but only by the state courts. No territorial court existed to which citizens of the territory could appeal the decision of the state court, and today reads: "White foreigners who are, or who may hereafter become residents of the state shall enjoy the same rights in respect to the possession, enjoyment, and descent of propert as native born citizens. And the legislative assembly shall have power to restrain and regulate immigration to this State of persons not qualified to become citizens of the United States. (Oregon Constitution, page 7, paragraph 31).
