Supreme Court pick

Bush Picks Roberts for Supreme Court Nominee
WASHINGTON — President Bush has picked Judge John G. Roberts Jr. (search) to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor (search).

Roberts, 50, is a conservative who currently sits on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. A former clerk to Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist, his name has been floated for months as a possible Bush selection for the high court.

Still gonna keep pressure on Gordon Smith if Alberto Gonzales is chosen for Chirf Justice when Rehnquist retires in October.

I am definitely on board USS Sailorblog! All guns pointed aft... is aft left or is that starboard? Whichever way is left, point them that way!

The proper term for the way the guns are pointed is "(d)aft!".

1/2 guns pointed (d)aft, 1/2 guns pointed at the White House.
