Back to school

In anticipation of back to indoctrination camp, err, back to school I am going to do a series on what Mexico's children, err, our children are getting there.

Part 1

School Based Health Centers: An Overview
School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) are a national model designed to ease access to health care by reducing the barriers that have historically prevented adolescents from seeking the health services they need including inconvenience, cost, transportation, concerns surrounding confidentiality, and apprehension about discussing personal health problems.

Those are the things that keep kids from going to the doctor? Inconvenience? Sorry, it's inconvenient for all of us. Confidentiality? Sorry, you don't have any, you are a minor.

2006 marks the 20-year anniversary of SBHCs in Oregon. The first center opened in Multnomah County in February 1986 at Roosevelt High School. Since then, they have doubled each decade making it possible for three times more clients to be seen.

They double each decade huh? So all those "cuts" that we have been hearing about... those must be lies right?

Services are available to students regardless of... immigration status.

Pretty sure that one is illegal. We are required to educate regardless of immigration status but we are forbidden from providing (most) social services to illegal aliens. Putting the health clinic in a school doesn't except it from the law. Will follow up on this one...

The history of civilization is a history of people everywhere on the planet -- regardless of race, ethnicity or any other distinguishing factor -- moving to where the work is.

Live with it.

Live with laws being broken?

History of civilization is also a history of conquest, slavery, brutality, pillaging, etc.

I know that this country is better than Mexico but that doesn't give anyone the right to break our laws any more that it gives me the right to break into someone's house just because theirs is nicer than mine.

Dude, if you had anything at ALL to say about the conquest, brutality and pillaging that is being carried out by the United States government in the Middle East and down in Guantanamo Bay, paid for by our tax dollars, I might give you the benefit of the doubt and believe that you're taking a principled stand against an "illegal" activity.

But you don't. What's up with that? Why is it that the only illegal shit that seems to give you cold sweats is the one that involves "aliens" who are looking for work in these parts?

Sadly for you guys, I'm the one and the only, and I'm not alone...
Tonight I'm working some translations (English in to Spanish)for some text books in ours schools, that way our children will do it better... In Spanish... And you will not stop that... Some people do have inteligence, some don't, even if they have a brand new brain like yours...

Good night,

With love,

AL,

Ps. Tomorrow will be another day, and I will back to the horse until then... Now I have something more productive to do...

Dear AL-Why do I have a hard time believing you even own a text book?
"sadly for you guys, I'm the one and the only, and I'm not alone..."lose the commas and also the sentence makes no sense.
"(English in to Spanish)for some text books in ours schools," into is one word in this instance.
inteligence has two l's.
Normally I wouldn't comment on someone else's spelling but you insist on saying that others have new brains, what ever that means.
Check out the big brain on AL.
P.S. please give my regards to your horse.

Anon 9:36pm apparently has no concept whatsoever of the word "illegal". And it shows repeatedly in his everlasting love for the illegals and their incursion into our country. Maybe he should go live with them back in Mexico. I am certain he would not be missed up here.

Dear BobKatt

I'm taking note of my mistake, thank you for correct that for me, is lovely when some one else works for you, or for me… I love to accept when I'm wrong, but what about you?

AL

ps. I was tired... I'm human too
