Saw this one on another site. Yes it is true, they are just digging themselves a nice big hole to sit in their own squallor.
Let them and those chicken anarchists, who do not have the guts to show their faces in public (with their black bandanas), keep digging that hole, our numbers are growing and there is not one thing that will stop a true American.
Any sort of disrespect on a symbol so sacred as a national flag shows intolerance and lack of intelligence, I’m agreed with you in that point, I don’t like it either…By other hand if people –both sides- are showing no respect for any flag, then you have a good excuse to start a reaction. One example: Dany is often making funny declarations on Mexican Flag. Even if I were Mexican, I wouldn’t do the same with American flag, why? For respect to others nation… Respect has to ways, even if you don’t like that flag (I don’t know why, but you don’t have to), show respect, and then more people will be on your side… You don’t have to be nice, you just need to have the reason… Avoid confrontation, is better when you find a solution…

While I appreciate your sentiment Al about respect I am going to have to disagree with you. Not all things are deserving of respect, including some countries, some cultures, some symbols.
Mexico is a country that is abound with corruption, refuses to take steps to help her own people lift themselves out of poverty and instead chooses to export it's problems to the United States so that it can leech off of us.
I know that many wonderful people, who are deserving of respect, live in Mexico but I do not respect the country.
"Mexico is a country that is abound with corruption, refuses to take steps to help her own people lift themselves out of poverty and instead chooses to export it's problems to the United States so that it can leech off of us."
I'd be remiss not to point out that you could say roughly the same things about the United States (with a small change to the exportation bit - we export our problems not to ourselves but to places like a particular civil war-afflicted nation off the Persian Gulf).
However, I do not equal your disrespect for the former nation; rather, in the course of, well, living here, I seek to change those things.
Nice to see you again Kaelri but your logic is not working for me.
By "corruption" you mean that you get regularly shaken down for money by law enforcement? That high level government officials are on the payroll of drug cartels? That federal agents regularly rape illegal aliens?
And I'm not sure how we "exported" our problems to Iraq, it would seem that Iraq is the problem!
As for helping it's citizens, America provides a unique opportunity for anyone to lift themselves out of poverty. Hmmm, how can I demonstrate that there is such an opportunity here... oh yeah! The millions of illegal aliens who come here for just that reason!
I have been silent for a while mostly because virtually all of your posts have been focused on your annihilation of the Day Labor site, which I actually commend. I am gaining more of an appreciation for the sheer effectiveness of political work on the micromanagement level.
"By 'corruption' you mean that you get regularly shaken down for money by law enforcement? That high level government officials are on the payroll of drug cartels? That federal agents regularly rape illegal aliens?"
No. By "corruption" I mean the sort of ethical irrelevancy in the highest levels of the federal government that allow projects like TPMmuckraker to exist. I mean that lobbyists outnumber Congressmen 3:1. I mean money: Jack Abramoff, Duke Cunningham, Tom DeLay, Bob Taft, Bob Ney, Brent Wilkes. I also mean the dirtiest politics you can imagine. I'm sure the matter of Valerie Plame is well known to everyone here; the matter of the DieBold voting machines, the New Hampshire phone-jamming scandal, and the Gasoline for America's Security Act, maybe less so.
"And I'm not sure how we 'exported' our problems to Iraq, it would seem that Iraq is the problem!"
It's become the problem, yes. But the decision to invade, at its inception, was, among many other things, a matter of political reality.
"As for helping it's citizens, America provides a unique opportunity for anyone to lift themselves out of poverty."
More than a few citizens of New Orleans would disagree. But in fairness, I'll grant you this: the wealthiest 1% of the population wouldn't.
I had no idea being unhappy with the United States take over made me extreme? Normally it is just the abortion issue I am getting blasted as extreme over. Gosh I feel so loved.
When someone is talking about “purity” on topics like corruption you will remember that no country is “corruption free” that’s sad, but that is true, I don’t wanted to go further on this because a big list will show up over here and space is limited. Do you remember something about Enron? Do you know that in Chicago a police officer often is more afraid of other cops, than “real criminals” I tell you why: Corruption. You can name it in other way… Is just the way it is. And maybe you can recall who said this… “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye…” Talking on respect, I also have this for you: Do to others as you would have them do to you, and that’s what many people know like a golden rule… But talking on solutions, I have good and bad news for you. Bad news first: Mexico will remain exactly were it is, right now. As long as the rivers flow. And because I love you I’m sorry for you. Good news I found some solutions for you: a) Move to other country with no borders with Mexico. b) Move to other planet with no Mexico at all. AL

I’m Lou Barletta, the proud Mayor of the City of Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
I believe the United States of America is the greatest nation on Earth. People who are in this country have an incredible amount of opportunities and blessings. But some people have taken advantage of America’s openness and tolerance. Some come to this country and refuse to learn English, creating a language barrier for city employees. Others enter the country illegally and use government services by not paying taxes or by committing crime on our streets, further draining resources here in Hazleton.
Recent crimes – such as a high-profile murder, the discharge of a gun at a crowded city playground, and drug busts – have involved illegal immigrants. Some of those allegedly involved in those crimes were detained by other law enforcement officials over the years, but were somehow allowed to remain in this country. They eventually migrated into Hazleton, where they helped create a sense of fear in the good, hardworking residents who are here legally.
Illegal aliens in our City create an economic burden that threatens our quality of life.
With a growing problem and a limited budget, I could not sit back any longer and allow this to happen. I needed to act! That’s why I drafted the Illegal Immigration Relief Act, a measure designed to say enough is enough.
To the residents of Hazleton, I say thank you for your support.
To our recently arrived legal immigrants, I say welcome to our City. I wish you all the best and hope the United States and Hazleton can be a place where your dreams come true. I am proud to represent you as your Mayor.
And to illegal immigrants and those who would hire or abet them in any way, I say your time is up. You are no longer welcome.
There are thousands of small towns and cities across America like Hazleton, Pennsylvania. I hope the steps we’re taking in Hazleton to defend ourselves will inspire others to become small town defenders.
