Independence Day



Declaration of Independence
When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness...

Thanks Daniel.
Sometimes I think the meaning of the Fourth of July, Independence Day, gets lost within all the celebrations. Personally, I think it is more important to reflect the true meaning of Independence Day and remember all the men and women who have died for our freedom, and to be ashamed of how we are turning a blind eye to the invasion that threatens our way of life in the 21st century.

Happy 4th of July to everyone. I had forgotten about Red Skelton's classic. It sure makes me nostalgic for the days when Hollywood had some real Americans, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Bob Hope, Humphrey Bogart, Ron Reagan. Men who were not afraid to stand up and be proud Americans.

Forget Red Skeleton's bullshit bit, we need to restore our country's pledge:

I pledge allegiance to my Flag,
and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation indivisible,
With Liberty and Justice for all.


If we changed our nations anthem tomorrow, how would that be? When we revise our nation's history, it's foundations and ignore the fathers, we forget how and why we came to be. We forget the reason for the day. When it is not ours, who does it belong to?

The more politicians and theocrats continue to remove our rights and liberties, the more the word "God" in the pledge means completely nothing.

Take a stand and restore the pledge!

America Me, You are so full of B.S. thatit is running out of all your pores and other orifices. For anyone to call Red Skelton's version of the Pledge "bullshit" show how unAmerican you really are.

I often refer to the NYT and the LA Times, as well as the other ultra-liberal newspapers as AmINO papers, but, you, sir, are as much an AmINO as I have ever run across.

I probably should insert here that you ought to be ashamed of yourself, but then AmINOs such as you have no shame and very likely do not even know the meaning of the word.
