Friends forever

[Continued from post below]

From Indymedia: "We are all Lebanese" and "Please show up tomorrow at Pioneer Square tomorrow at 5pm, and let's salvage the once proud Little Beirut moniker this town earned a long time ago"

Oh yes, the Portland crowd and their "friends" are really going to get along...

Portland crowd...

Their new "friends"...

Oh yes, this is going to work well. Make sure that you Portland liberals ask for things like "Queer resource centers" and let them know that they can't say "Allah" in public schools.

just curious as to why homicide bombers would wear masks? Oh, yeah, they're Haliburton employees brainwashing palestinian nazi kids into killing the jews that President Bush and HIS nazi troops want dead.....wait a minute, maybe they're walmart managers....no, they're evil capitalists from enron....no, they're salmon-hating fishermen from Coos Bay....it's all so confusing!!

Worse, they aren't killing jews, they are killing spotted owls!

The people of Lebanon are now paying the price for Embracing Hezbollah's Diversity!

Now, they can always look back on the days of false peace they bought with trading their children's future.

Much as we are today with allowing La Raza to prosper under our noses.

if the nyt wakes up and switches sides in time, there may still be hope. Until then, we are bound by "civil discourse," and, therefore, doomed.

I find it interesting that you seem to equate the people of Lebanon with Hezbollah. I don't think Indymedia's statement is terribly ambivalent; it would appear to be in support of the wholly-innocent people of Lebanon whose lives are endangered by forces beyond their control.

What about the wholly-innocent Israelis who have been being bombed for...ever? And when the Leb. govt says they will fight alongside Hez'b'allah should Israel invade, what''s up with that?
Yes war sucks, and people die, but that's the way war is. I know... "war is not the answer", I mean it didn't do anything to stop Hitler, it didn't stop the spread of communisim, did it?
Time some people come down from their ivory towers, and see the world for what it is... a dangerous place with dangerous people in it who want to hurt, enslave or even kill you. Anyone who believes that if the US will just "disarm", or "withdraw", etc., that everything will be rainbows and rivers of chocolate, with kite-flying and kumbiya sung around the campfire, needs to put down the hash-pipe and clean-up. I'm not saying that I, personally, like wars, but if you keep feeding the alligator, he'll just eat you last.
When the large man with the dull knife begins to saw at your throat, be sure to tell him that you're on his side, maybe he'll be merciful and shoot you instead.

Rant over.

For the no borders crowd, The Israeli Defense Force is merely a group of undocumented sanitation engineers doing a job the Lebanese won't do. They're just looking for work and a better life!!

Ask the protestors. I'm not one of them.

- "And when the Leb. govt says they will fight alongside Hez'b'allah should Israel invade, what''s up with that?"

Also pretty unambiguous. To destroy Hezbollah militarily, Israel would probably have to invade Lebanon. And Lebanon, being a nation-state, has a right to defend itself. Thus, Lebanon and Hezbollah would find themselves with a common enemy and common territory of defense.

kaelri, you're so far in the tank for the terrorists, you make me sick. If the so-called lebanese can't fight their own battles, then they need to quit pretending they are a nation. You have revealed yourself as an anti-semite, and have bought into moral-equivalence for butchers. If lebanon and hezbollah have a common enemy, it is themselves. You have sided with terrorists against not only Israel, but the U.S.A. as well. No more excuses, or hiding behind sophistry and phony rhetorical nonsense. You are a traitor, and a waste of air.

It's ironic that you've submitted your most vehement attack on my character in a thread in which I have yet to state my own opinions on the matter.

Anonymous said...

Well lets hear your opinions Kaelri... I'm curious to know where you stand.

Bear, The NYT will never change sides away from the terrorists, including Hezbollah and Hamas, until the liberal Dumocrats are in the White House.

Kaelri, You are right that the Lebanese are innocent "bystanders" in this. But their leadership cannot be considered among the "innocents". After all, they allowed the Hezbollah to stay in their country. And after Hezbollah started lobbing missles, etc. into Israel thereby initiating ths conflict, then after Israel retaliated with overwhelming firepower, the instigators of all this are crying foul. To paraphrase an old cliche - They got into the kitchen but they can't take the heat that they generated.

And, Kaelri, please answer Anonymous' 1:39pm question. Where do you stand concerning the terrorists? Are you against them, or do you consider them "freedom fighters" as opined some months ago by the country's leading candidate for sedition, Cindy Sheehan? Maybe you just believe that the Israelis should politely request that Hezbollah and Hamas and their ilk please stop, that they wish they wouldn't keep trying to kill them.
That is called appeasement. It didn't work for Neville Chamberlin in 1939 and it won't work now.

Scottiebill said...

I misspelled "Chamberlain" in my previous post. Sorry about that.

One other thing: What is with the little guy with the bomb strapped on? Is he going to be sent into a kindergarten to get rid some of the next generation of conservatives?

And the clowns in the masks are nothing more that the modern version of the KKK. Only now they are using bombs instead of ropes over a tree limb to take out anyone who does not agree with them. Kaelri and dodger roger should not have to worry about falling into their sights.
