ECONOMIC BENEFITS, REDUCED TRAFFIC, do you not understand these concepts? MAX has been a great economic dev. engine and so will commuter rail.
You know, I also have a problem with the way you phrase your title, your assumption that you're "right" is sanctimonious BS.

Oh yes, it's done wonders for HWY 26. Between light rail and the new lanes added to HWY26, now the east-bound backlog of traffic starts at Murray Rd. instead of 185th. Great. How about spending that money redesigning the bottleneck at the end of the tunnel? I always laugh when I head onto I405 S from 26 and see the speed sign that says '50 mph'. That is the funniest sign in the state....20mph if you're lucky.
If they increase road capacity then there will be less congestion and less stop and go traffic which means less pollution and more fuel efficiency.
