More contributions from Mexico

Dozens Arrested in Oregon Pot Bust
Today, the Drug Enforcement Administration announced the arrest of dozens of persons who are suspected to be involved in a sophisticated drug trafficking network. The arrests took place after an eight month investigation which culminated in the service of numerous federal search and arrest warrants in and around the Eugene, Oregon area.

During the course of the investigation, Federal and State authorities identified a sophisticated drug trafficking organization that was importing and distributing heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine in Oregon, California, and Washington. The criminal organization directed the importation of the illicit drugs from Mexico and then arranged for its transportation and eventual distribution in Oregon and elsewhere.

...participating agencies include the Oregon State Police; Springfield Police Department; Eugene Police Department; Lane County Sheriff’s Office; Linn County Sheriff’s Office; Immigration & Customs Enforcement; Federal Bureau of Investigation; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms; United States Marshal’s Service; Junction City Police Department; Corvallis Police Department; Benton County Sheriff’s Office; and the Cottage Grove Police Department.

This is coming on the heels of another major bust in Oregon. Is NAFTA/CAFTA here to make sure that Mexico/Central America can import drugs with impunity? Why is it that every few days we here about a "huge" find of yet another "sophisticated" drug ring that is bringing drugs from Mexico to the west coast?

I've done the post several times but the DEA's official site for Oregon says that we get most of our drugs from Mexico. "Mexican drug trafficking organizations dominate the illicit drug market in Oregon."

How about we stop letting the mules come here, hiding in a sea of other criminal aliens, and make this state a little less drug friendly.

Did you tell Kulongoski this? He thinks its the Sudafed on the grocery store aisle is the source of Oregon's drug problems.

Not gonna happen, bra. This is a sanctuary state for illegal aliens. maybe one day when the whole state looks like your average inner-city L.A. barrio, people will wake up. Of course by then, it will be too late. Idiots.

Someone should make a political campaign ad that links the drug trafficing and other mahem to the lackluster policies enacted by our state and federal government officials.

Perhaps then it would get some attention...

Apologies for breaking topic. FoxNews.com reports presidential hopeful and Rep. Tom Tancredo is calling for U.S. Attorney General Ablerto Gonzales to resign. Tancredo suggests Gonzales should resign because of his handling on illegal immigrant prosecutions.

Keep beating that drum.

That's not off topic. Gonzales is a schill for the NCLR (race based group) and "agreed to review the Administration's positions on sentencing reform" meaning "let criminals out of jail."

Yes, please keep beating that drum, because I suspect the pansy-assed D's will blink now that Bush has ordered them to drop the "partisanship." The Democrats are literally the only thing standing between Bush and a prison cell at this point. Bush supporters ought to thank their lucky stars that Nancy "impeachment-is-off-the-table" Pelosi is running the House. Liberal, my ass.

But hey, if you want the Gonzales out because he's a softie on immigration, go for it. Anything to get the sonofabitch out of where he obviously does NOT belong.

Ready, set ... clusterfuck!

Chertoff is pretty worthless too when it comes to illegal aliens. Come to think of it, he looks like an alien--from outer space.

what motivation is there for our government to really "do" anything to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drug trafficking? none that i see. it's great for the biz owner who wants to pay these folks low wages under the table. it's great for the drug business too, which our government has a hand in ($$ speaking).
