"Hardworking immigrants" get arrested

Immigration Officials Arrest 100 Illegal Workers in Raid on Oregon Food Plant
PORTLAND, Ore — Federal agents on Tuesday raided the offices of a food processing plant suspected of employing hundreds of illegal workers who used Social Security numbers that belonged to other people or were made up, authorities said.

According to an affidavit filed by Maximillian Trimm, a special agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, only 48 of nearly 600 employees at the Fresh Del Monte Produce fruit and vegetable processing plant had valid Social Security numbers.

Sounds like there may be 552 job openings for American workers tommorrow. Not to mention a lot less fraud, labor violations, tax evasion, perjury and probably some good old fashioned drunk driving and rapes. (crimes for which illegal aliens are disproportionately arrested)

But of course some people won't want to talk about the criminal aspect of this. (as if there is some other aspect) CAUSA already has their "stop enforcing the law" press release out.

Claims that punishing criminals somehow "hurts children" and that "family values" are disrupted by enforcing our laws is absurd. If you, as a parent, put yourself in a position where you could be arrested and leave your children then you are a piece of human filth. You are not a parent.

YOU chose to break the law and you knew the potential consequences. If you fathered/gave birth to children here knowing that you may be arrested and deported then you are garbage.

If you fathered/gave birth to children here knowing that you couldn't legally provide for them and support them then you are scum.

And if you are here legally and you gave birth (more often) or fathered children with an illegal alien knowing that the person couldn't legally provide for their family and could be arrested for their crimes at any moment then you should be ashamed.

Society should look upon these degenerate "parents" with contempt and disgust. Puting children in harms way is not "family values."

I'm glad that these criminals got arrested and that Del Monte will have to hire legal workers who need jobs.

UPDATE: Fishwrapper takes sympathetic view on their blog
Immigrant supporters decry raid
Immigrant-rights, church and labor leaders gathered outside downtown Portland's Edith Green / Wendall Wyatt Federal Building this afternoon to denounce the raids on Fresh Del Monte Produce in North Portland earlier in the day.

Mayor Tom Potter and Oregon State Rep. Tina Kotek, whose district the Del Monte plant is in, both issued statements in opposition of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement action. Potter's statement noted that no Portland Police officers participated.

Gee, what a surprise...dummy Potter is upset over the raid. Hey Potter, these people are criminals and lawbreakers!

I say round 'em up and ship 'em out!

Hey,Hey,HO,HO
Mayor Commie Pothead
has got to go!

The one clear message that comes through in your post, Mr. Miglavs, is that you have nothing but contempt for other human beings. What kind of pathetic, lost soul celebrates something like this? Words fail me. What a sad little man you are.

Looks as Grampy is happy with Del Monte ripping off the buggers.

How caring!

On the bright side, we now have less chance of becoming sticken Ill with the Dirty Hand Syndrome sometimes called Shit Fever.

I celebrate this because it is a step backwards for the culture of lawlessness that illegal aliens have helped bring about.

We can't "look the other way" when our laws are being violated. And when that is the routine I will gladly bring out the party hats and streamers when the criminals and their enablers get a rude wake-up call.

Break the law;receive the punishment. Sounds fair to me.

It is bad policy to have a mayor that does not care about Oregonians, the American nation or the rule of law.

Wonder what our "worthless" Guv will spout about the arrests? Wonder how many of these illegals had Oregon DL's? Does Potter's criticism of the arrests mean that he supports criminals?? Does anyone know if this food processing company is THE Del Monte? If so, they will probably use the excuse that they didn't know all these workers were illegals because they came from a staffing agency. I would just love to see more raids like this!!!

Hey, Anon 6:25, You neglected to include Anonymous 6:12 in your list of those who do not care about the Rule of Law, etc. All he seems to care about is attacking Daniel.

So much bullshit, where to begin? Let's take a simple one:

Daniel: You put quotes around "hardworking." The obvious implication is that these particular workers were NOT hardworking. I'm sure this has nothing to do with bigotry on your part.

So:

Please explain, in detail and citing specific examples, how you know that these particular workers were not "hardworking."

I denounce the denunciation of the raid. If they're so worried about the welfare of the children of illegal aliens, maybe they should counsel illegal aliens on not having kids or leaving them at home in case they get caught breaking the law.

Boo-hoo. You know, that's like saying that you feel bad when a suspected murder gets caught, because he might be separated from his family. Maybe he should have thought about that before he broke the law.

I'm glad that mayor pothead and the idiot governor don't like the raids. It just shows us the contempt they have for the laws of our country.

BS Police:

When you cheat, you are not a hard worker. When you lie and steal to get a job that automatically means you are not a hard worker.

Michael Chertoff has as much as said that the current wave of raids, the likes of which we haven't seen since the mid-80s, are just the sort of home-wrecking, child-abusing, horror shows we'll get unless the Wondrous Comprehensive Immigramnesty Bill is passed and soon!

It's ridiculous, this sort of thing should have been happening for the past 20 years... and now they're trying to use it to show how mean enforcing the laws can be.

"When you cheat, you are not a hard worker. When you lie and steal to get a job that automatically means you are not a hard worker."

I can think of plenty of business execs who would disagree.

I get a little tired of hearing the president and others trying to sell the "comprehensive immigration bill" as the magical cure for immigration.
two of the biggest holes that I see in the immigration plan itself, is...
#1 lack of enforcement.
(if they cannot enforce the current system, what makes them think they're going to be able to enforce a new system)

#2 the assumption that everybody is going to cooperate in their happy little plan

and all these people that are so concerned about splitting up the families, maybe it should be considered child abuse when a family drags their kids over the borders knowing the risks that there are putting their child in.

Any other circumstances, Department Of Human Services (DHS) would consider it child endangerment and separate the child from the family in a heartbeat.
(I have personally witnessed DHS remove a child for lesser reasons)

finally, I don't hear anybody talking about the consequences of the people that now have to deal with the stolen identities. Who have to repair their credit, reputation, loss of benefits, and because it also goes on their job history, can also affect their Social Security benefits.
Where is the outrage over that one?

I'm sorry, but I do not feel sorry for the people who violated our borders and felt justified for going around the process of law because it does not suit them.

Anonymous said...

Robin, there is outrage, it's just not as organized as Portland's clan of enabling bureaucrats; it's hidden away for fear of being labeled "Racist!" Never mind that this invasion's prettymuch one race from one place...

For comparatively big money these illegal aliens not only risk their lives, but those of their children; that's of course if their spawn were brought with them and not anchor-babies...

As far as this raid, can you believe it's taken from January to implement? Maybe that's what the extra ICE Agents were shipped out here for? I applaud their work - Nice Ice! --And welcome to Portland! ...but don't get the impression you're not appreciated - keep up the good work (if faster), the majority back you!

And while we're on the subject, check out the following: http://wehirealiens.com/index.asp Daniel -- you've got more photos than they do of illegal-boss-wannabees ... send em in!

Potter needs to resign.

What part of "illegal" do people like your Mayor not understand?

Was planning on heading south to visit Portland, but won't be spending my money there anytime soon.

Enforce the law!

Anonymous said...

On the one hand, these illegals broke into this country and have committed tax fraud, identity theft, Social Sec fraud, etc.

But on the other hand, Americans have chosen to murder 40 million of our own offspring. Therefore, we have a huuuuge labor shortage.

It's not that illegals are "doing jobs Americans won't do", it's that illegals are doing jobs that Americans can't do -- because they were murdered and tossed into a medical waste bucket.

Anonymous said...

It's not that they are doing jobs Americans won't do, its that they are doing the jobs we won't do at slave wages...

Illegal aliens are nothing more than a new term for indentured servants, i.e. paid SLAVERY.

You fucking commies!

What about my right as a business owner to hire whoever the hell I want without the government telling me what to do!

Why don't you all go back in time and move to the Soviet Union! Your anti-business attitudes would be quite welcome there you fucking commies!

Anonymous said...

"What about my right as a business owner to hire whoever the hell I want without the government telling me what to do!"

You can, just as long as they are in the country legally.

It's pretty simple.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, anyone I want so long as the government approves! Just like the Soviet Union! When did this country start looking to the Soviet Union as a model of how to do business! There was a time when Americans thrived on hard work and competition! Now there are all these cowards who think they're entitled to a job, no matter how lazy or drugged up they are, and want the government to pamper them! Free Market or Dead Market, Pick One!

Anonymous said...

Pro-business, it's obvious you're a liberal troll trying to prove a point, but the fact remains illegal aliens use stolen SS numbers to get jobs, they are responsible for a disproportionate amount of crime, are a drain on our social services and exacerbate identity theft.

Requiring employees to legally be in the U.S. is not a communistic dictum.

Get over it.

Let the record show that when Daniel Miglavs was asked a direct question by the Bullshit Police, he exercised his right to remain ... silent.

Anonymous said...

Bullshit police, your question is ... uh, bullshit.

Daniel put quotes around the phrase "hardworking immigrants", not the word "hardworking". He also put quotes around "family values" and "parents" and "hurts children" and "stop enforcing the law".

Um ... and I don't give a shit.

RE:pro-business

You don't have a right to do whatever you want, you fucking slaver.

<"There was a time when Americans thrived on hard work and competition!">

There was also a time when America thrived on slavery.

So go crawl back under your rock and fuck yourself slaver.

According to the mayor's online statement, the city's Crisis Response Team has been activated and is assisting families affected by the arrests.

Portland has an ongoing affordable housing crisis, which is exascerbated by the presence of thousands who are here unlawfully.

Will the Crisis Response Team be activated to assist families affected by the affordable housing crisis?
