It's funny because they don't get it

Videos (not mine) taken from the "we're criminals and we want things" rally on Friday.

I wholeheartely encourage more public displays by the criminals. Clearly it works in your favor to demonstrate that "out of the shadows" is a myth, that you show loyalty to foreign countries by waving their flags and how you refuse to speak English.

Be out and be proud! March on the capital! There is no chance that this will come back to haunt you at the ballot box. Si se pueda!

And for your viewing amusement here is another video I ran across: (must see)

Another hit and run crime committed. We really need to deport these people:

Woman hit by car while using crosswalk

BEAVERTON, Ore. - A man accused of driving under the influence of prescription drugs hit a woman walking across Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway near Southwest 62nd Avenue Monday, police said.

The woman, identified by police as 25-year-old Maha Alayasa, was crossing the highway, which is also known as Highway 10, in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a Pontiac in a westbound lane. Another westbound vehicle had come to a stop at the crosswalk.

The woman was apparently crossing the street to get to a bus stop. The driver, 60-year-old Thomas Benjamin, stopped and was cooperative with police.

He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and third-degree assault, police said.

Uh, and they are criminals why? Because they were at the State Capitol in mass? Because they have brown skin? or why? Another racist post by Miglavs. And OFIR clowns say it ain't about race. Could have fooled me.

Daniel said...

Yeah, the governor is denying drivers licenses to people based on race... oh wait, it's based on criminal status.

Daniel,

Considering your history, it's amazing that you keep harping on "criminal status."

Perhaps you should have your drivers license taken from you because of your criminal status.

A quick question:

If "it's all about the law-breaking", how come there's been little to no complaint from the right about the law-breaking of the current administration?

Anon-Asswipe 9:02,

Quick, can you name one law that has been broken by the current administration? That’s right, you got nothing.

I’m no fan of the President, I just believe in facts.

Let me guess…everything is Bush’s fault including gas prices, sub prime mortgages, unemployment, healthcare, the weather, the color of your neighbor’s house, your wife being fat, your kids on drugs, your dog not being housebroken…

Hey Anon-Dipshit 10:09,
Try Warrantless Wiretapping. And please, don't take it from me. Your guy Grover Norquist had this to say:

"Referring to what some see as a conflict between fighting vicious terrorists and upholding all civil liberties, Norquist said: “It’s not either/or. If the president thinks he needs different tools, pass a law to get them. Don’t break the existing laws.“

Hey rodger the dogger,

If the current administration has broken any laws or committed any crimes then Congress should indict and impeach the president. With conclusive evidence that crimes have been committed, I would be all for it. The fact that Congress has done nothing is every indication that no laws have been broken. Norquist making a statement doesn’t mean it is a statement of fact and the same goes for you.

...and you, and you, and you...

Here's something that happened to me in October.

I got into a fender bender with an illegal alien. The lady had a drivers license and insurance. Her address was on her drivers license so I knew how to find her. I knew her name too.

None of that possible if she hadn't. Im not glad people are coming to this country illegally, but our government and big business has facilitated this thru lack of enforcement of our laws and corporate greed. They're here people. As long as they're here, they're driving to get to work. At least with a driver's license we have a method of identification should something happen.

Not having a dl will be a minor blip to them. So what. They will still drive. Get that? They will still drive. They will still be able to bank, they will still get jobs. Minor inconcenience they will find ways to get around.

Look, if you're tenacious enough to cross a border on foot with nothing but what you can carry in a backpack, make it all the way to Oregon, get a job and keep it, then you're going to believe not having a license in their wallet is going to "make things hard" for them? ROTFLMAO. Nearly 30% of American citizens don't have a valid DL right now, much less auto insurance. That is a fact, ask any traffic cop. Do you see it "stopping" them?

How about the laws that make it illegal to engage in torture? In fact, Bush signed such a law, then, as he signed it, he told everyone that he was going to break it.

He's done that numerous times--signed laws and issued "signing statements" declaring which parts of the law he wasn't going to follow.

Yes, other Presidents have issued signing statements, but previous Presidents have used them to state how they would interpret the law, not to state that they would only follow the parts of the law they like.

LOL. You're going to let congress make the decision for you? Do you not understand congress has it's own motivation for not impeaching and that their ambition often times conflicts with the will of the people?

Anon 6:16 pretty much says it.

If these people have the tenacity and the cojones to come to a foreign country with nothing but their shoes and what they can fit in a backpack, cross the border with out getting caught, make it ALL THE WAY to Oregon, get a job and keep it, function without knowing English (most of them), get and keep a job, and be disciplined enough to send MOST of their money back home to their wife and kids, do you really think not having a driver's license is going to phase them? LOL, get real. That's about as big a tragedy to them as not finding a prize in their Crackerjacks. Big whoop. They'll still have their matricularia card. Banks still accept it. If they want to, they can get a fake DL for $30 on any street corner in Hillsboro or Woodburn. Big deal. Ted did nothing but apease the hounds. Symbolism. The results will be minimal at best.
Think about what you dumbasses are so excited about: Come Feb there will be thousands of illegals driving Oregon roads with NO LICENSE, NO INSURANCE, AND NO WAY TO I.D. THEM if one of them gets in an accident with you. You won't know who they are or where they live. You will have no recourse through their insurance. Wow...brilliant! Way to go guys -- especially considering it will likely be another few years before the illegal alien problem is solved in any MEANINGFUL way. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

rodger, how frickin’ stupid are you? Congress is the only party that has the legal authority to impeach the President. Go read the Constitution, you moron. Besides, for the last seven years all I’ve heard from the hate-America crowd is the President must be removed from office. So, why hasn’t Congress done anything? The answer is there are no grounds to impeach.

Now, if you think congress has “ambition that conflicts with the will of the people” then it’s time to the change Congress. The idiots that hold public office are only there because too many fools voted for them.

First off, how dare you say we "hate America" because we want the President to follow the law. I love the United States of America as much as anyone. Those who want only one side of the debate to be acceptable are the ones who could reasonably be tagged with the "hate-America" label.

As for the lack of action by Congress, that's a complex situation, which I hope you can understand.

I am certainly disappointed by the lack of action by Congress in pursuing an impeachment investigation. And, contrary to the actions of the Republican-controlled Congress in 1998, I believe the way to start is with a thorough investigation (the way it was done in 1973 and '74), then if it leads to impeachment, so be it.

Unfortunately, though, the Democrats haven't pursued that line. I believe there is a perception that the with the high level of partisanship that there's no way that the necessary number of Republicans would vote to convict. They're probably right about that at this point--the point of the investigation is to build the political case so that enough Republicans have to vote to convict--that's why Nixon resigned. Some Republicans would have voted to acquit, but it was clear that enough Republicans would vote to convict that he resigned.

“…how dare you say we "hate America" because we want the President to follow the law”

You can be referred to as the hate America crowd. It’s called the First Amendment. Look it up. And exactly what law is the President not following? Be specific.

“As for the lack of action by Congress, that's a complex situation”

Actually, it’s not a complex issue. Well, maybe for you.

“…contrary to the actions of the Republican-controlled Congress in 1998, I believe the way to start is with a thorough investigation…”

Contrary to what? The Senate conducted a “thorough investigation” and found that the President of United States committed a felony. The result was the impeachment of Bill Clinton, who has the honor of being the only President ever impeached. The current Congress should start a “thorough investigation” if there are grounds to do so. So why hasn’t Congress done anything?

“…the point of the investigation is to build the political case…”

An impeachment proceeding would not be a “political case”, it would be a “legal case”. That is unless you think laws and the Constitution are “political”.

Okay, I'll start with the easy one. Bill Clinton is not the only President ever impeached. Look up Johnson, Andrew. Was impeached and missed being convicted by one vote in the Senate.

The Senate conducted a “thorough investigation” and found that the President of United States committed a felony.

Wrong again. The Senate did not vote to convict Bill Clinton.

You can be referred to as the hate America crowd. It’s called the First Amendment.

I didn't say you can't refer to us as "the hate America crowd." But not if you want to be taken seriously. You and your fellow travelers in the right wing can also be referred to as the "hate America crowd."

But what use is it if we're just calling each other names?

An impeachment proceeding would not be a “political case”, it would be a “legal case”. That is unless you think laws and the Constitution are “political”.

Sadly, in the U.S. it is a political case--there are people on both sides of the aisle who put politics before what is good for the country. In order for those people to do what is right, it often is necessary for them to realize that there will be a political price to pay for toeing the party line.

And exactly what law is the President not following? Be specific.

For starters, FISA and the torture law--hell, Bush told the world he wouldn't follow the torture law.
