Day labor protest Part 5

Our success with the illegal alien day labor protests is undeniable. I have a different folder for each protest we have done (I have a lot of folders) and the pictures in the intial protests include vehicles with major company names on the side. And lot's more vehicles.

This weekend we had a few trucks and they look more like this:

He's licensed, bonded and 'nsured. What we had were some illegal aliens hiring other illegal aliens. The big boys now know that to show up at this site means bad publicity for their bussiness.

So maybe someone gets a job for the day mowing a lawn, not much to attract illegal aliens to the town when that is there best prospect.

And we have the added bonus of the nutty socialists showing up with their "mainstream" signs alerting the general public to their intentions:

As long as great Americans continue to join us at these events we can help make Oregon unfriendly to illegal aliens. If you want to get invovled check out Oregonians for Immigration Reform and the Oregon Minutemen.

Special note: You will notice a new link on my right sidebar to My YouTube Videos. I'm uploading the videos from this weekend's protest as well as videos from previous episodes. Not all these videos will make it to my blog but you can always check at that link to get the full deal. I'm also toying with the idea of doing some video blogging...

Just watched Bill O'Reilly's Fox program and it sounds as Geraldo got his butt spanked good.

Mr. Bill is inspired and perhaps partly because of Lou Dobb's ratings.

What ever the case we OFIR supporters have a new and Powerful Ally and this looks as the start of something big.

The shame is that a lot of well intended and good people are going to suffer and we all know who to blame.

Too bad our borders aren't labeled - "Border Maintenance: Licensed, Bonded, and Insured," like the vehicle in the first photo. The anarchists' only hope is that actual Americans don't lose patience, and give up all hope in the 'rule of law.' Fools, like the poseur in the Chief's office in Cornelius, strain that patience. In my humble opinion, his shameful behavior makes all of Cornelius, as well as Washington County, appear to be just as corrupt and anti-American as he appears to be.

Anarchists were also at the protest in Cornelius? Is that how they identified themselves?

The shame is that a lot of well intended and good people are going to suffer ...

What's that supposed to mean?

I heard a bit of Lars national show. It's funny how he makes two contradictory claims.

One is that illegal aliens are lazy, no good criminals who soak up government services.

The other is that illegal aliens are hard-working, punctual, and willing to work for less than U.S. citizens.

But, under a free-market system, isn't that a good thing? After all, he regularly argues that the minimum wage is a bad thing, because some people's labor is worth less than the current minimum wage.

If you folks are for a free-market economy, shouldn't you support a broader free market for labor?

Free market is good. Subsidized market -- whether the subsidies go to the owner or to the workers -- is bad. Illegal aliens are subsidized so by definition they are not operating within free market.

I don't think I would hire "Lawn Maintenance." They can't even spell "insured."

How are undocumented workers subsidized? If anything, they're subsidizing the rest of us--they pay into Social Security, but they can't receive benefits. They pay taxes, but can't get back any excess that's paid in.

Care to provide any evidence?

Anon 10:14, try that mobile health-dental care that Daniel posted earlier. Try the health care. Try the in-state college tuition for illegals (hey, the Oregon DOE even has a "immigration/amnesty" counselor so that should say it right there). Try the labor department. Try education (grade school, high school). Try the abundance of "cultural" grants and programs, like that Woodburn radio station. That's just to name a few.

That's not evidence, that's a list of possible benefits that some undocumented workers get, but it doesn't quantify it in any way, and doesn't compare it to what they pay out.
