Another department we can't live without

Human Rights Commission Public Hearing
Thursday, May 27, 2010 4:30 – 7:00 pm
Location: Portland Community College – Cascade Campus, 705 N Killingsworth,
Student Center/Cafeteria (directly behind Library

Mission: The Human Rights Commission works to eliminate discrimination and bigotry, to strengthen inter-group relationships and to foster greater understanding, inclusion and justice for those who live, work, study, worship, travel and play in the City of Portland. In doing so, the Human Rights Commission is guided by the principles embodied in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Topic: The Interplay between ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and Local Law Enforcement

I'm glad that we almost eliminated the Portland Police mounted patrol but there was never a discussion about funding of the Human Relations Commission. If you would like to see how "tolerant" these people really are I suggest that you go to this meeting and take the position that our laws be followed and illegal alien lawbreakers should not be pandered to by our government.

I'm guessing that they will throw things and shout you down. Because they are so tolerant.

Anon 9:02 pm,
Isn't someone like Iran, N Korea or other countries like those on the UN human rights commission? Is this human rights commission connected to the UN one? They say they are guided by the principles on the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Should we be all racist and bigoted like a lot of countries in the UN human rights commission? Maybe we can send them more money and they can start raping and trafficking drugs for sex. We could be racist against Jews and other groups around the planet. The UN is such a lofty organization that we should all aspire to be like them.

No thanks. I'll leave the hatred, racism, and bigotry to the liberals and commies like you.

I hope OFIR shows up and ask why in the heck the local Police work with the Feds to enforce all other laws BUT they should not enforce laws against aliens who have committed crimes? ID/S.S.# theft? I-9 perjury? Registering to vote?

Per the US Supreme court all police when in lawful contact have the right to ask of immigration status and should.

There are many many more police than ice agents and we need all law enforcements help.

You do NOT have the "right", in any nation including america, to sneak in and break several laws and must pay the price if you do.

I keep thinking of those 3 hikers that wandered into Iran. They were not demanding special services and treatment, they just stepped across an imaginary line. Now they face LIFE in an Iranian prison. LIFE. After they are put on trial in an Iranian court they could get the death penality. President Barrack has no magic to get them out either, because they broke the laws of Iran.

Yet, daft idiot liberals think the USA equates to Iran. I encourage these people to travel to Iraq for a short hike into Iran, just so they can see what life is like in the real world. I would love to see someone like the "daniel stocker" do this, and then demand fair treatment by the crazy Hitler wearing the dinner jacket in Iran.

Dave, what the hell are you talking about? I was poking fun at Daniel's little motto. That's all I was doing. If someone jokes about your political idol, they're a hate-filled racist liberal commie? What are you smoking?

Grow up, child. I've voted Republican in all but one presidential election since 1980 and I've been a Republican precinct person in my county for the last 12 years, so I'll leave the stupidity to you.

LOL! Dont take it personally, 9:02, Dave has issues. He proably didn't get laid today.

Notice how Miglavia works: Because WHS didn't show his identification papers and kiss Daniel's ring (or ass, like Dave does basically every day), it was assumed he was a communist. Basically the same deal with Latinos living in America these days: Guilty until proven innocent.

Welcome to Miglavia, WH, who was the Dem you voted for?

I voted Perot in 1992.

LOL!!! along with all the other bigots and commies, right Dave?

In Miglavia, if you are not a Miglavian, you are a communist. Welcome to Miglavia.
