Watch your approval numbers go down

Few senators support the illegals bill
Fewer than 20 senators are publicly committed to supporting the immigration deal that hits the Senate floor today while nearly 40 are already opposed or have serious concerns, underscoring how difficult it will be for President Bush and his allies to craft a coalition that can pass the bill.

Let's help the folks who are "undecided" make up their minds! Send an email. Keep calling.

If this thing gets passed in the Senate, and I have no doubt it will, then we all must work to ensure that the Senators who vote for enactment are in their last terms of office and that they will have to get out on the street and find honest employment after the next election cycle. Not that many of them know the meaning of "honest". And that absolutely has to include Smith, Wyden, Cantwell, and Osama Mamma Murray. These four are a disgrace to the Pacific Northwest, as are Teddy the K and Christine Gregoire.

Good call, scottiebill, but be aware that Vance Day, and other so-called leaders of the party will subvert any primary challenge. The republican party in Oregon has joined causa with la raza. (pun intended.) They can't be trusted. Remember how Mannix flipped on this issue immediately after he became party head?
