Let's legalize them

6 Men Charged in Plot to Attack Fort Dix
Six foreign-born Muslims were arrested and accused Tuesday of plotting to attack Fort Dix and slaughter scores of U.S. soldiers - a scheme the FBI says was foiled when the men asked a store clerk to copy a video of them firing assault weapons and screaming about jihad.

Four of the men were born in the former Yugoslavia, one was born in Jordan and one came from Turkey, authorities said. All had lived in the United States for years. Three were in the United States illegally; two had green cards allowing them to stay in this country permanently; and the sixth is a U.S. citizen.

The suspects and their immigration status

Clearly these hardworking immigrants deserve some sort of amnesty program. Let's make sure they have access to drivers licenses (ID), jobs (income), welfare (more money for the jihad) and the cover of 20 million other illegal aliens who they can hide amongst (open borders and no interior immigration enforcement).

Three cheers for the video store clerk who didn't find it politically incorrect to speak up when he saw something suspicious.

It must be like Chinese water torture for the open border, amnesty types.

Just a constant drip, drip, drip of illegal aliens involved in criminal activity.

From driving without a license to planning to attack the U.S. Military, it just keeps stacking up.

Resist, resist, resist. The Mexican government has officially moved the date of the North American Union from 2010 until 2015. I guess they are having a little more trouble working out the details than they planned.

Let's see the open border folks defend this one. The Jihadists are now using the porous border and non-enforcement rules as part of thier plans to ATTACK the U.S. Military on U.S. soil.

Let's see.....how far back did the anti-illegal immigration crowd predict this???? YEARS ago if I remember correctly.

And today(5/9) on msn.com is a report (I read over a year ago) that Hezbollah, financed by Iran, has set up camp in the Tri-Border area of Brazil and has thousands there training to come here via Mexico & Kill us and a Rep. from Texas(Silvestere)said "They are Hispanic, speak Spanish and will be hard to differentiate from other immigrants".

BUILD THE WALL & ENFORCE THE LAW-NOW! While we can.

Daniel did you see this?

Humm, let me think about that date. I know it must be Bush's fault.

It's a good thing that these clowns at Ft. Dix didn't get caught in Oregon. Taliban Teddy would have given them to Oregon DMV for drivers licenses, voting registrations, a fistful of food stamps, and parade permits so they could protest their "terrible" conditions that they have to live under.

Ooops, that should read "directions to Oregon DMV for drivers licenses."

Look - Its all Bush's fault. No matter what. Fort Dx is a perfect example:

We tried to help Muslim refugees by offering them US citizenship. That was after Clinton got us in a sectarian civil war where we had zero national interest. Then Bush was elected, he is so evil that's why the attack was attempted. Its all our fault.

Don't you DARE suggest that it is a teensy bit out of line for someone to attempt terrorism against the country that took them in as a refugee.

That's racist.

Hey, I thought that because we're "fighting them over there" that we're "not fighting them over here."

Oops, so much for that argument.

And how many of the alleged plotters came over the border from Mexico?

One more question--if Daniel believes in the cause of the Iraq war, why hasn't he enlisted?

"One more question--if Daniel believes in the cause of the Iraq war, why hasn't he enlisted?"

There it is -- the typical liberal, anti-war BS question.

Look I believe in the cause of police and firefighters, too. Do I need to become one to support them?

Idiot.

Did you see the latest on Cheney? He says that there is "no question" that Iraq has security problems and security threats.

The anti-American lib sonofabitch!!! He's demoralizing the troops! He's a traitor! Arrrgh!!!!

My point is, it's easy to put others at risk of battle, it's another to put your own life out there.

If you're willing to risk others' lives but not your own, then you're a chickenhawk.

Peace activists, on the other hand, are often willing to put their own lives at risk, while working to lessen the risk to lives of others.

Tell me which has the greater moral authority.

Ok - So no one can believe in the cause of the Iraq war unless they enlist.

Interesting to see this tired old sixth grade argument resurrected since it is so easily defeated.

If one believes this argument, then by corollary, no one can be against the Iraq war unless they go to Iraq and attempt to broker peace.

So much for the supposed moral authority of the peace activists, and so much for this easily defeated line of reasoning.

BTW a chicken hawk is someone who is a pimp to underage male prostitutes. It would be nice to see this term used correctly. Someone who is willing to put others lives at risk but not their own is a coward, not a chicken hawk since there is no prostitution involved. Considering that assassination rates for US presidents is quite a bit higher than combat death rates for soldiers in Iraq the point is ludicrous regardless of term usage.

hey, anon 4:59, take your "life-risking" (l.o.l) butt over to Gaza and lecture them on launching rockets and homicide bombing. Be sure to leave a valid Will behind. I'm a vet. Do you want to try your treasonous and idiotic excuses on me? You cowards on the left abuse your free speech rights here, but never make the effort to take on your pals in the "I hate America" crowd. "Death to America" is not a peaceful message, but you lefties don't confront the che lover's. You defend their message. You defend every anti-American slogan and act, and blame the country you seem to despise, but refuse to leave. The reason is: shared goals. You are not about peace. You are about destroying this great country economically, morally, and politically. Your rhetoric fools no one......sheesh.

Fox News is reporting that they were smuggled over the Border, didn't say which one yet.

Mexico has the huge network of smugglers not Canada, so I am putting my money on our friends from Mexico are helping Terrorists.

Kill us slowly with Meth & Heroin or fast with a Bomb, same difference too me.

This country was founded by liberals. The conservatives of the day were the Tories. They supported King George, kind of like the Tories of today who support King George.

It's not the liberals who are anti-American, it's the conservatives who want to trample the Bill of Rights.

And what should we do with these American Citizens. I guess because they are American they have a right to be terrorists.

Militia arrested; bombs seized

6 held after raids net military-style weapons, ammo

COLLINSVILLE - The discovery of nearly 250 grenades and improvised explosive devices and 2,500 rounds of ammunition at several northeast Alabama homes Thursday led to the arrests of members of an anti-government militia.

Alice Martin, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, said those arrested belonged to the Free Militia, a military-style unit based in Alabama that has been stockpiling firearms and explosives.

Martin and other federal, state and local officials announced the arrests in a news conference Thursday afternoon at the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office in Fort Payne.

Although Free Militia is considered a violent group, Martin said agents "did not recover any targets" of the militia. She said she could not discuss the group's mission other than to say "it has a beef with the government."

James Cavanaugh, special agent in charge with the U.S. Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said he believes that agents got the core of the group, including possibly its leader, Raymond Kirk Dillard, 46, of Collinsville.

"It's a lot safer today," he said. "Alabama is free of the Free Militia."

Federal, state and local law enforcement agents conducted raids at homes in DeKalb, Etowah, Marshall and Jefferson counties about 6 a.m. Thursday after a two-month undercover investigation, officials said.

Prior to raiding Dillard's camper trailer on U.S. 11 in Collinsville, agents had nearby Collinsville School closed as a precaution. But officials said all raids were conducted without any injuries.

Arrested and charged with conspiracy to make a firearm were Dillard; Adam Lynn Cunningham, 41; Bonnell Hughes, 57; and James Ray McElroy, all of Collinsville; and Randall Garrett Cole, 22, of Gadsden. Michael Wayne Bobo, 30, of Trussville was charged with being a drug user in possession of a firearm.

All six men had a preliminary hearing before U.S. Magistrate Robert Armstrong in Birmingham. They were held pending a bond hearing Tuesday. Martin said her office has asked that they be held without bond because they are a public safety risk.

Recovered in the raids, Cavanaugh said, were 175 hand grenades, 70 improvised explosive devices, two silencers, a submachine gun, 2,500 rounds of ammunition and 100 marijuana plants.

Arms and explosives violations are serious, and the crimes planned by their owners should, indeed, be prosecuted.
