When in Rome

In accordance with this 24 hour news cycle I'm only allowed to talk about Michael Jackson...

We can ignore the whole cap and tax vote going on today. The largest tax increase on the entire population of the United States just isn't as newsworthy as Michael Jackson.

Giving government the ability to control energy consumption, which all individuals and industry is involved with, isn't as important as Michael Jackson.

A sweeping change in American policy that is outside the constraints set up by our founding documents should not be discussed. Talk about Michael Jackson.

Just beat it.

Jeez Daniel, don't forget about what Paris Hilton is wearing today. Citizens of this country are so fucked up. They bury their head in the TV and stuff their mouths with big macs. I think they will only pay attention when the TV goes dark and the big macs are unavailable. You don't even hear hardly a word about N Korea shooting missiles at Hawaii.

The messiah does not have a clue. We are doomed. If this man had any brain cells, he could stop N Korea in its tracks. All he has to do is jerk China's chain and N Korea will sit. We are ruled by morons.

Right on, Dave.

The Ayatollah Hussein Obama says is doesn't want to "meddle" in the affairs of Iran. But he damn sure ain't bashful about meddling in the affairs of General Motors, (henceforth referred to as Government Motors), Chrysler, the automobile dealers, the health care industry, and the banking industry. In the very near future he will be meddling in the affairs of the firearms industry, aircraft builders (Boeing, McDonald-Douglas, Cessna), the oil industry, the broadcast industry, the military suppliers, and who knows what others.

Every day this Imam of Incompetence is showing the country and the rest of the world his frantic desire to turn our country into a third-world entity. Even France's president is more competent than is the United States' own Ayatollah.

And lets not ignore the fact that the Ayatollah Obama is going to try to get the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution repealed so that he will be eligible for a third term as U.S. Ayatollah. (The 22nd Amendment limits presidents to 10 years maximum).

It is hard to imagine Obama being in charge for more than one term, much less three or more. But then, remember just before the election in November, he fancied himself as some sort of reincarnation of FDR, who was elected to a fourth term, but died before the first year of that term was up.

Today's blog comment was brought to you by someone who idolizes Chuck Norris.

It's worse than you know, Dave. A few citizens in this corner of the world have their heads buried in a thoroughly fucked-up fantasyland called Miglavia, where they take the "musings" of an ex-con bigot seriously. Know anyone like that?

Anon 8:54- the real question is why you dedicate so much of your pathetic life on a blog that you obviously disagree with. And also why you have so much hostility and animus toward people you don't even know. Maybe a little counseling is in order.

Just to maintain a loose relationship to the universe of facts, the 22nd Amendment limits a president to a term of 8 years, not 10. See as follows:

Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
