Also their customer friendly attitude is nice

DMV: the only place left in the world where they don't accept a debit card as payment. Even I can take a debit card if you want to pay me that way. (through PayPal)

You could probably find some remote tribe on the Amazon and say "I'd like to buy that ceremonial spear" and they would reply "debit or credit?"

I just can't wait until government is running my healthcare. Can't wait...

Healthcare run with the "Efficiency" of the Post Office, DMV and other Government entities, oh yeah I can hardly wait too. If we go with “Universal Healthcare” where will the Canadians go to get healthcare?

As the noted political satirist P.J. O’Rourke says: “ If you think healthcare is expensive now, wait till it’s free.”

Been there, done that!

Many as we who are 65 and above, have been forced on to Medicare by our Medical Insurance providers and its been a nightmare/money pit ever since that nobody understands fully and none can explain the reason for the insanity.

The only purpose I can see is to drain us of our money and drive us to support a full government paid program.

Do you really want government agencies processing VISA or Master Card transactions? Of course you realize that doing so would increase operating costs which would be passed along to we the "customers" in the form of higher fees/taxes. The slight convenience added doesnt justify the expense, especially with a government entity that most of us do very few transactactions with.

Daniel, check out this report on Foxnews.com about the Illegal Border Crossing Methodology.

There are two questions. I would love to hear the results from the first question.

I think this story might answer my previous comments for the results in the first question of the Illegal Border Crossing Methodology survey.

This article on FoxNews.com "Border Crackdown Fuel Smuggler's Boom" explains that the "tougher" border security has prompted illegal immigrants to hire smugglers.

What is it that the United States has that prompts desperate illegals to come here?

anon 7:20, whats wrong with letting other people have the choice to pay with a debit? I really dont want to carry around $200 when i go to get groceries, let alone all the change that I will be getting back after a few transactions. Not only is it a huge convenience but I also have a direct digital record of all my transactions which is then directly downloaded into my banking software, making life and a budget much easier.

I know you think the government and Big Brother are always watching and out to get you, but they are not really interested in me.

Dantheman, it is all about personal preference. Some of us like to pay with cash, others would like to pay with a debit/credit card.

It is the same argument that I have with the Oregon's lame self-serve gasoline ban law. I would like for once to pump my own gas and not having to wait on a slacker pump attendant.

so like I said, "...whats wrong with letting other people have the choice to pay with a debit?"
