Nonetheless, what's to disagree with, Daniel?

If we can't fund schip, how can we afford this war? This president spends money like we have it. We don't.

If we can't fund schip: We can no longer give away this country to illegals....the bill did not cut off those people. (yes, those people)

Scottiebill said...

Anon 11:31: It was absolutely correct for the President to veto the SCHIP bill. It would give free insurance to any family earning less than $83,000. per year. And it would give children under the age of 25 free insurance. Since when is 25 is still considered being a child?

And, remember that Hillary has proposed giving every child born $5000. Since there are some 10,000 babies born every day, that would bankrupt the country faster than any war could. But that is OK with the libs. They would just tax us all more. And more. And more. And more.

$5K gift per child is NOT okay with ALL libs including this one.

"What's to disagree with??"

Are you kidding me??

It's obvious that you haven't actually read the S-CHIP bill, and all of the details within the bill. No President would have signed that garbage. The President simply wants the bill re-written to be a sensible bill. Not a bill that covers $83.000 per annum income families, not a bill that provides Self Employed families with free healthcare.

If you make $83 grand a year, you can afford healthcare for your family. If you choose to be self employed, pay for your own damn health care. If you don't make enough money as a self employed person to pay for health care, get a second job that offers health care. That's what I had to do when I started my business. Life is difficult sometimes, and you have to make sacrifices for the well being of your family. You can't go running to the Government every time times get tough.

Here is the difference in a nutshell between the modern Democratic Party, and the modern Republican Party:

The Democrats want to raise your taxes, so that they can provide you with things like Gov't Healthcare, S-Chip Programs. $5000 dollars at birth, etc

The Republicans like to give tax breaks, but will provide you with only the basic Gov't services like the Military, Federal Law Enforcement, and other basic services. They leave it up to YU, the individual to obtain the rest of the things that you need. And you're able to get those things on the open competetive marketplace because you get to keep more of what you make.

Make any sense?

If Stark would have been employed by a private firm, and said some shit like this at a board meeting....he'd have been sumarilary (sp?) fired on the spot. It's one thing to disagree, it's quite another to simply be an asshole that speaks without thinking.

Anonymous said...

This is one of thousands of reasons why Congress has an 11% approval rating.

What a moron!

Anonymous said...

Rep. Stark couldn't be more correct. The Republican Party's motto is life begins as conception and ends at birth, so it is no wonder why so many of you heartless bafoons don't get it. To Daniel and the rest of you "Compassionate" Cons on this blog, common sense and justice is all syntax.

Why not actually listen to his entire speech (2 min) instead of the Druggy Limbaugh soundbit.

If you aren't strong, wealthy and healthy, the GOP Machine will run you down.
I reply:
You didn't mean to, perhaps, but you said it all in a nutshell. Thank you for the "truism" of the day.

Antiklan:

You actually believe that the President of the United States, sends soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines over to Iraq, simply so that they can "get their heads blown off" for his personal amusement?

If that is truly what you are saying, then you're an absolute idiot with no life experience whatsoever. You couldn't debate the average conservative and win. Not in any venue.

Stick to smoking weed and playing X-Box, and leave politics to the grown-ups.

Hey Delucca,
What makes you so sure that Bush isn't sending them over for his own amusement? Because Rush told you so?

First off retard, I don't listen to very much talk radio, let alone Rush Limbaugh.

Secondly, I'm a rational thinking human being. If you think that the President gets amusement from members of the military dying, (I'm repeating myself here) then you're a complete moron. The same kind of moron that thinks President Bush and V.P Cheney launched missles into the World Trade Center on 9/11, the same kind of moron that thinks the USS Cole Bombing was orchestrated by the CIA (I heard that theory last week), and the same kind of moron that thinks the Iraq War was started simply to "Get Their Oil".

Your a mindless dipshit without the cranial capacity to rationally think for yourself, so you latch on to any and all hairbrained conspiracy theories in order to fool yourself into thinking your an "intellectual".

You're just another douchebag with an overactive mouth, paired with an under-active brain.

Weren't you the one whining about name calling from the left the other day?

Retard, moron, mindless dipshit, douchebag? And all in a single post?

You sure can dish it out, but you sure dont like taking it!

I already responded to a similar question. take the time to scroll through and actually READ what has been posted.

Maybe you won't make such an ass of yourself next time.

More proof that when Daniel Miglavs has nothing to say, he says something anyway.

So Deluggi, you know Prez Bush personally do ya? The question isn't weather or not it is to Prez Bush's amusement that soldier's heads are being blown off, it is the fact that the Repubics have ALL the money in the world to fund Iraqis and Israelis with healthcare, but none to pay for their own citizens. Sad really. But DeLuggi, you probably are quit all right with that.

Anonymous said...

Should of been **quite** All right with that.

I guess the bottom line is, some people believe it is a basic government function to fight a war, and some believe it is a basic government function to transfer wealth from one segment of society to the other.

The bottom line though is, war is a relatively inexpensive and somewhat fixed cost endeavor, at some point conventional wars do end. Wars on poverty and wealth transfer, whether Medicare, Social Security or Schip, are a far more expensive proposition. Their cost is limitless as they go on far longer than the average war with annual costs that have proven to generally be vastly under estimated at the outset.

The president was speaking to that simple fact, we simply cannot afford to extend health insurance to families making over $80,000 a year. Its an inane idea.

Roger,

Actually, I do take issue with what Stark said.

By the way, the "republicans" aren't the only ones finding money for the war....there is this thing called "congress" that approves war funding bills....and it's controlled by the democrats.

And not for nothing, but yeah....I did met the President face to face in 2001. I talked with him for several minutes. Doesn't mean I know the guy personally........but I know him better than someone who hasn't met him at all.

Deluggi huh. That's all you can come up with? Pathetic.

To Roger Dodger

Since you are correcting yourself, quit / quite, it should be whether not weather.
