Saying what they really mean

The video speaks for itself. Union elites act no different than any other elites: better than us peons who live to make sure that they are comfortable.

Daniel,

You can choose to call people who have a different world view than you "elites", but at the end of the day, they are American citizens who love their country as much as you do, who just happen to disagree with you.

And I know that "r" word always whips up the ire of Miglavians, but over the years I have encountered the most fucking rabidly racist sentiment ever in my life right here on this blog.

If the shoe fits...

LSU Study: Latino Immigration Creates Problems In Black Community
Authors Link Influx Of Hispanic Workers, Increase In Violence Among African-Americans

BATON ROUGE, La. -- A study by an LSU sociology professor and doctoral student suggests the influx of Latino workers into a city increases unemployment and violence in the African-American community.
The findings are published in the journal "Social Forces."
Professor Edward Shihadeh and Ph.D. Candidate Raymond Barranco conclude the arrival of large numbers of immigrant workers in an urban area displaces blacks from low-skill jobs. That, in turn, leads to an uptick in violence.
"This is an unintended but significant result of immigration policies," Shihadeh said. "This is not a blame game. We do not advocate restricting the flow of Latino migrants in either direction.
"Our study simply describes how immigration policy opened a new chapter in the history of the U.S. labor market and how that harmed black communities."
The study notes that Latino workers who enter the United States illegally are less likely to return home than in years past for fear they won't be able to get back across the border at a later time.
"Blacks and Latinos both feel singled out and put upon, but few will address these issues because they're politically explosive," Shihadeh said. "The public mood makes this subject a live wire."

The people most often bringing up the Race issue are always far left Democrats, using it as wedge instead of moving forward OR being "progressive".

Over 50 years, as a Black man Charles Barkley said, of Blacks hoping that Democrats really would help them, only to have even more Blacks still in poverty.

Why does our 1st Black Pres. B. Hussein Obama, do nothing do help Black's that are competing for a job with Mexicans, who will always work for less wages/benefits?

Every job, College loan/grant, food stamps or any Social Service that goes to a Mexican (that is a nationality, not a race), is one less for a Black person dummy. We can only give so much as our un-funded liabilites are over $50 TRILLION already.

And the Non-partisan CBO said that is "Unsustainable" !

We all agree to help americans, Black, asain, hispanic, etc. but NOT tens of millions of illegal's, mostly from Mexico.

Why is that Racist?

This guy is so self-serving. Of course he wants larger numbers for unions. Spin it. Sure.
But we aren't buying.
And black Americans aren't buying it because it is illogical.
Wow. Using the 'F' word in a meeting.
Classy.
Asian Americans aren't buying the spin, either.
And why would Native Americans - who have been objecting for years?

What the speaker really means is that even though the illegals say racist things - the unions ignore it and move on. But those citizens from Wisconsin - if they say racist things it has some deep meaning - and is a slam against everyone of color.
No. I am a person of color and I'm not buying this spin from a union leader.
Soon we'll have the cartels in every corner of our country - if they are not already in every corner and it will be the fault of such full-time PAID spinners like this one.

There is an excellent column in today's Columbian by Thomas Sowell about race and politics. It ought to be required reading by all the anons here, regardless of your attitudes toward Daniel or anyone else.

If you anti-Daniel types do read it, you might accidentally learn something. Or not.

The whole question of race here in Miglavia, Scottie, comes down to the following inconvenient truth, which every Miglavian, deep down, in places they never reveal except to each other, knows to be true: If Latinos were white and spoke flawless English this blog would not exist. OFIR would not exist. Lars Larson would have to get a new job, because he wouldn't be spending endless hours on the radio every day boring the shit out of people bitching about immigration. Period. End of discussion.

IF latinos spoke our language, especially their kids in our schools, the government would spend BILLION less every year with bilingual this and that and would save us all tons of wasted precious dollars.

Not racist, just reality.

And Mexico to this day treat Blacks, i.e non-job preference, housing exclusions, racist tv shows and popular cartoons, excluded from leadership positions, etc.

They treat Blacks like we did a century a go.

and Report after report shows Mexican groups KILLING people just because their Black in L.A. not to mention the latino vs. black Prison Riots.

My Black friend had to quit two factory jobs in one year here, becuase of being slammed all day racially by the Mexicans at work.

Translation of above comment, from Miglavian to English:

Since racism can be found in Mexican society and some Mexicans are racist, it is therefore okay if I am racist, too.

But I'm not a bigot ;-)

Anon 520: Obviously you did not read Thomas Sowell's column. You are dead set against learning anything or hearing anyone else's points of view about the race/political side of things. You would rather sit back and denigrate Daniel, Lars, very likely Victoria, and anyone else who does not subscribe to your diatribes against all things conservative and and anti-illegal alien. You need to understand that there is more than one side to every issue, not just yours.

Anon- If all Americans insisted that our current laws of immigration were enforced. If some Americans stopped enabling the crippling behavior that allows illegals to operate with impunity in our communities. If politicians were criminally charged and convicted for aiding and abetting illegals with day labor sites and assistance with flaunting our laws, this discussion would no longer be necessary. Period. End of discussion.
