Green means stop?

Tri-Met alert:
MAX Blue Line disrupted westbound between SE 102nd and Gateway.

Any reports of Hummer owners having trouble getting to work today? How about if you drive a Prius? Hippies everywhere must be wondering how Mother Nature could do this to them.

What do you drive Miglavs? Just curious.

I'm waiting for the answer too bobkatt.

I drive a Ford Taurus. I don't particularly care what Miglavs drives. It's a pretty common question during challenging driving conditions. I must have been asked the same question at least a couple of times in the last two days. I didn't have such a knee-jerk, defensive reaction when I was asked. What is it about "just curious" that you do not understand? Oh, and the question was directed at Miglvas, by the way. But as long as you want to be part of the thread, what do you drive, BK and Dave?

It's not of your fucking business what someone drives, assbrain.

I haven't seen any priuses on the road in the last two days. I wonder why? Those cars suck. Total POS. Definitely not going to keep you safe. I see them as something akin to a glorified golf cart. If you are rolling at about 20 mph in clear, dry weather, I guess you are ok.

I don't give a shit what Daniel Miglavs or anyone else drives, and I don't see why he should give a shit about what anyone else drives, either. Probably just bored with life, I guess. We live in a Democracy, right? Free market, right? We can pick what we all drive, right? So what's the fucking problem, Miglavs? I say we revisit the topic in 10 or 15 years when gasoline is $12 a gallon, and then we can have a hearty laugh over all those fools in their electric cars.

I haven't seen any electric cars on the road during the past few days that we've been dealing with the effects of Man-Made Global Warming. You?

It's silly to try to peer down the road and claim that gasoline will be $12 a gallon in 10 or 15 years.

It'd be that today, if environmeddlists were allowed to regulate lives as they'd like.

Heck, 10 or 15 years down the road, environmeddlists may well have outlawed meat production; forcing everyone to eat beans and tofu.

In that event, we may be driving cars that run on methane.

I wish I could afford an electric car but probably not in this lifetime. I only drive about 5 miles each way to work so an electric car would be doable. I would think a Prius would work well in this weather with front wheel drive and heavy batteries but maybe not.
Oh by the way, I have been driving a 15 year old (3 cylinders but runs more like 2-1/2) Geo Metro for the last 5 years. I hate buying gas even at $1.75 a gallon. It gets around in this weather pretty good but it's not very safe.

You guys really do live in your own little world, don't you?

My Chrysler gets better gas mileage on the highway than those little hippymobiles.

And it's big. And pretty. (I love my car!)

ANON 2:07 PM
I drive a four-wheel drive. I love it. I love having the ability to get work when I need to and others can't. I love playing in the woods. With the shitty weather, I bet more people wished they had one too. Piss on those little crash cars. It is my RIGHT to drive whatever I want to.

How is that global warming scam going Al Bore? We have had record cold weather and more people are starting to realize the truth about Global Warming, no Climate Change or whatever it is today. What a scam.

Priuses are not exactly safe cars. What happens when you get stuck going up hill and some RWD caddy comes careening down towards you and you can't get out of the way? DEATH. lol

I saw one prius yesterday. It was a PGE vehicle. It had traffic backed up for a couple of miles on I5 around Wilsonville because it had rear ended a pickup. The pickup did not look damaged but the prius' whole front end was smashed in - totalled.
