I refuse to refer to Obama as "President" or "President-elect".

As long as he is in office I will refer to him as "Chairman Obama" or "The B-HO", and his wife as "The M-Ho".

This will piss of all the libs, but who cares? I sure as hell don't! They will say, in no uncertain terms, that I have no respect for him. I DO have respect for the OFFICE of the President, but I have absolutely NO respect for this guy,who consorted for years with a loony, radical, racist preacher, a known and admitted domestic terrorist, a mafia-type goon (Rezko), and a ward-heeler of the Daley machine in Chicago, among a lot of other things. And he has yet to provide actual, State -certified copies of his Hawaiian birth certificate, showing him to actually be eligible to hold this office, according to the dictates of the Constitution.

I say, "Impeach Obama." He is, and will prove himself to be, a complete fraud.

Daniel, you have got to be one of the dimmest bulbs out there. Your feigned concerned that Barack Obama will "take power" and then "rule" suggests that you fear what's generally known, in educated circles, as an imperial presidency.

I invite you to remove your head from your asshole, look up, and take note that we have had an imperial presidency for the last 8 years, administered by a man who literally did "take" power.

That an overwhelmingly elected (as opposed to appointed) president frightens you so testifies to a level of stupidity and hypocrisy that makes me wonder how you're able to function in the world as an adult. Do you have a job that requires more intelligence than is required for, say, pumping gas?

If "rule" is not the word that you would use to describe what George Bush has done for the last eight years, (or, for that matter, what any president in the entire history of the United States has done during his tenure) then what is? And even if you don't subscribe to the notion that Bush "took" power, do you at least accept that he has power, that he has exercised power? And if so, why is that different than "ruling"?

Nowhere in my comment did I condone the use of the phrase "ruling," although I do understand that a standard Miglavian tactic is to put words into the mouths of one's opponent in order to launch the argument you feel best equipped to make -- regardless of whether it's actually relevant to anything.

At worst, it was a clumsy and stupid way for the woman to phrase it. My only point (which clearly sailed in one of your ears and out the other and hitting nothing on the way through) was to note the TOTAL disconnect between Daniel's feigned concern about government overreach and the TOTAL absence of those sentiments during a period when a president took the concept of an imperial presidency (bigger government, consolidated power, and the wholesale destruction of civil liberties and protections) to new, uncharted heights. That's a stumble on Daniel's part for which he will have no good answer, because no good answer exists ... other to confess that he's a fucking idiot and that he had no idea what he was talking about.

You Miglavians have totally forfeited your right to bitch about over-reaching government with Obama; you had your chance with Bush, and by your silence, you provided your support and agreement. The supreme irony is that Obama will probably be inclined to let the air out of the imperial presidency that Bush/Cheney spent the last eight years pumping up to Hindenburg proportions, and THAT will be totally lost on you.

I also am not disputing your right to fling shit from the other direction. Nor am I surprised. Fling away. I'm just saying that in this particular case, Daniel's shit didn't stick to Barack Obama; instead, it backfired and stuck to Miglavs.

Come on guys lighten up. I didn't vote for Obama or McCain because they both were selected long before Nov. 4th. However, Obama ran on the "change" ticket and I will wait to see if he really intends to offer any.
Will he roll back any of the Bush excesses or will he be satisfied with himself having extra-constitutional powers? Will he dial back the Patriot Act or continue with the abuses?
From what I've seen so far I'm not gonna hold my breath-
Change doesn't = Joe Biden.
Change doesn't = Raum Emanuel.
Change doesn't = Another Goldman-Sachs alumni in charge of the treasury.
Transparency doesn't = not producing birth certificate, health records, school records, etc.
But we will see.

Time was when being conservative meant you were suspicious of government, wanted transparency in government, wanted smaller government, less powerful government. Bush-Cheney and their Republican cohorts have made government vastly more powerful, much more secretive, and more expensive ... and you'd better believe that if it had been George Bush on the GOP ticket, the "Miglavians" would have voted for him -- again. And now, Daniel wrings his hands about a Democrat "ruling" and "taking power." Give me a fucking break. LOL!!!

You are kind of missing the big picture. Just the meer election of Obama and the purging of Republicans from Congress is change. You can't say honestly that an Obama administration and a Democratically Controlled congress is going to make the same decisions that Bush and the Republicans did. If you think that, you need to quit using the medical marijuana.

Obama will certainly overturn Bush's Executive Orders. Say hello to federal funding for stem cell research, no drilling in the lower 48, continued protection of the environment. Overturning the chimps last minute shananigans is certainly a change.

The Patriot Act will certainly be trimmed down. Congress will see to that. Does Obama really have that choice. Or is that Congress' jurisdiction? You need to be careful on what you hoist onto Obama. I wouldn't want you to think he has more power than he really does.

But a change from the current administration business does equal Joe Biden, Raum Emanuel. The Goldman-Sachs alumni in charge of the treasury, I need to read more about. I suspect there needs to be some level of insight on money matters. Choosing a proverbial "Browny" like Bush did, were there was a need for expertise, is just asinine. I am sure you agree with that.

As for the Birth certificate issue, Obama shouldn't produce it. I wouldn't. I would let Berg, Corsi and the rest of the right-wing scum spend their money and their supporters money trying to get it through the courts. Obama is spot on by letting them bankrupt themselves. He is also spot on in letting you and others stew in your own juices.

If you pinheads were remotely smart, you would know that Hawaii's Republican Governor, Health Department and State Government declared the document to be authentic. No court in the nation would challenge that. Keep spinning in circles though, it is funny.

So far the only real conservative I see making any rational statements regarding Obama is Bobkatt. He's skeptical, but he's not passing judgment just yet.

So 3 or 4 months down the road, I think Bobkatt will be the only one who doesn't have to worry about people throwing some idiotic remark in his face. The rest of you guys (Obama fanatics included) can't be so sure.

Do you really believe that Obama raised over 600 million dollars with your $25 dollar donations? According to the London Guardian newspaper Obama received:
$847,207 from Goldman Sachs employees and families.
$581,460 from JP Morgan associates.
$581,216 from Citigroup associates. and
$909,203 from the Uof C employees, members and families.
As far as the Obama birth certificate being genuine, in the article you linked to it doesn't say the Governor declared it to be authentic, only that she hadn't order them to release it.
My problem is that just like Bush, rather than simply providing the documents in question, he chooses to obstruct and obfuscate the situation.
Not a good start for an "open, transparent" administration.
P.S. your character assassinations as to my medical marijuana and Jerome Corsi and Philip Berg being right wing scum really doesn't advance your argument, but rather makes you less credible. Berg is actually a hugh Hillary supporter.

Bobkatt: You left out the millions of illegal dollars from foreign donors. That is verboten as per the Federal Elections rules and regulations. And now I read that the FEC is not going to audit The B-HO's campaign monies, but they are going to audit McCain's.

"Fairness" today is only for the liberal Dumocrats, not for the conservative or the GOP.

Anon 1018: You don't seem to understand the word "illegal", regardless of what it refers to, whether it concerns immigration or campaign funding oar whatever else. The B-HO campaign got many hundreds of thousands of dollars from overseas people and companies. That is illegal as per the Federal Elections Commission. Therefore, the FEC should be auditing the Obama campaign funding as well as the McCain campaign funding whether Obama took public money or not.

But, you really don't want to see that happen because the FEC may just discover that The B-HO got elected partly because of illegal money from overseas.
