Oregon hunter education now available online
The classroom portion of Oregon’s hunter education course is now available online at http://www.hunter-ed.com/or/

“We are very excited to be offering online hunter education,” said Chris Willard, ODFW hunter education coordinator. “This will make hunter education much more accessible for those whose schedules make attending a conventional classroom course difficult.”

It seems that ODFW is becoming more responsive to it's customers. It was just this last season that they allowed us to take the Goose ID test online and now we have this. (I still recommend the "mentored youth program" for kids under 14 since it doesn't involve the state other than registration) The DMV should take note and start accepting debit cards, it's 2008.

Why should the state be involved in teaching people how to hunt. Hunter saftey and licensing should all be managed by private entities. Daniel, don't be a hypocrite by seemingly embracing one state agency while rejecting others.

Truelibertarian:

Daniel consistent? Dream on. He's too busy being a hypocrite to even look up the word consistent in the dictionary.

He bashes state employees every chance he gets -- has for years -- and it turns out his very own servant/wife has been sucking on the Oregon State teat the whole time, collecting a nice fat paycheck (and retirement benefits) every two weeks, which Daniel has no problem promptly depositing into his bank account, thereby benefiting directly from the very "employment/welfare program" he says he despises.

I hope they offer the hunting instruction in Spanish. In fact, I think Im going to call ODFW and DEMAND it. I'm sure they'll accomodate tax paying Spanish speakers. ROTFLMAO. That should get Daniel good and angry... I don't have anything to do anyway. I think I'll call right now....

Off subject for a min here again is another reason to do something about the issue of illegals in the US

MINNEAPOLIS — A woman who authorities say is in the country illegally and using an alias was charged Friday with four counts of criminal vehicular homicide and two lesser charges in a school bus crash that killed four children.
A woman who identified herself as Alianiss Nunez Morales, 23, of Minneota, was driving a van that failed to stop at a stop sign Tuesday before hitting a bus carrying 28 students from Lakeview School, Lyon County Attorney Richard Maes said. The accident happened near the small town of Cottonwood, in southwestern Minnesota.

Now quite honestly I don't care what country she is from she has no business being here and she has now destroyed families that will be impacted on them the rest of their lives. I don't know about anyone else but I could care less about hunting, what Daniel did in the past or even what his wife does for a living. What I care about is the fact that 4 children would still be alive if this illegal immigrant was sent back to where she came from or even better yet our borders were secure enough to keep her out.

Don't even bother responding if you are going to tell me about Iraq or how I am racist or any other idiotic remark babies are dying and something needs to be done!!!!!!

Yup. Something needs to be done.

Time to stop bashing Mexicans and whining about the evils of beans, tamales and hoodies.

Approach this problem strictly from a concern for THE LAW and ditch the racist bullshi -- and OFIRs numbers would swell. Until then, it's just crap like Dave 101 spews that keeps people away and makes them reluctant to join forces with OFIR.

Danny: I sure wish you would put a stop to the "Anonymous" postings. It is getting so that we can't tell one of your supporters going under the "Anonymous" labels from those "Anonynouses" who are against every single thing you post, whether you are posting for or against something, or even posting something about the weather, these guys are against it.

I believe that if you would cut off any "Anonymous" postings, those of us who support most of what you are posting and who don't give one solitary damn about your past would know who to jump on and who to go along with.

This would include Anon 12:37 and 2:13. But Anon 1:43 makes sense and probably should be taken seriously.

A lot of us would be very happy if you could do this. After all, Victoria has banned all "anonymous" postings.

Umm...hey true - you do realize that hunter ed is all done by volunteers, right? Licensing is handled by DFW, but the hunter ed programs are done by volunteers.

Volunteers use their own time and equipment to put together the classes and to make the dvds and the other stuff that may (or may not) be put online.

Because when it's something Daniel Miglavs is actually interested in and cares about, he wants Govn't to bend over backwards to serve his right-wing ass. Hunting education? Yeah baby! K-12 education? Not so much.

Bobkatt said...

Hunting education provided by private instructors on their own time works.
K-12 government school-not so much.

If Danny cut off any postings from those who do not wish to register with Google/Blogger and remember yet another password but instead choose the simplicity of
"anonymous," then his comment count will fall back to where it used to be: maybe 6 on a busy day.

Besides, Danny believes in free speech, at least on that ONE count, he is consistent.

Proud to be....Anonymous

Anonymous said...

Yes, Daniel needs the post-count to be as high as possible to perpetuate the illusion that he is more important, interesting and relevant than he really is.

Anonymous said...

at least on that ONE count, he is consistent.

Not exactly. Couple of months ago Danny took great joy in seeing some college kid who was trying to question Sen. Kerry at an event (peacefully, behind a podium, using a microphone provided for that purpose) taken down by four or five cops, and Miglavs caught shit for it, including from a self-identified conservative Republican who, if I remember right, provided his real name. Freedom of speech seems to prevail at Daniel's Political Musings (so far) but God help us all if people with a similar political outlook (i.e., the FAR, FAR extreme right wing of the Republican Party) ever get solid control. Democracy is already under serious attack in this country, and there's no doubt in my mind that, Daniel's blog notwithstanding, if there is ever a Miglavian Majority in this country, democracy will be terminated with extreme prejudice. Don't be too quick to put a free speech halo on Danny's head. He is not a Republican. He is a fascist, and fascists historically have been violently hostile toward free speech.

This is: DAVE01.

Are you talking about me? Which racist crap bullshit have I said? Would you please let me know? Then I will have to educate you. The criminal aliens need to go, you are proof that your education has been stolen. The truth will set you free!

Watch out, Anon 2:13 ... a Miglavian is going to "educate" you.

I agree ... OFIRs numbers would probably go up significantly if they cut ties with the Miglavians. You go to their site now and they point the way to Daniel's "musings."

Yeah, if Daniel cut anonymous posts, then his count for commenters would be as high as Max Headrum's and Scottieshills none existant blogs.

Trouble is for Scottie, he can't take it that his viewpoint is now troll on this here blog. My suggestion for Scottie and Headrum is to work on your own blogs clowns and let Daniel do his blog the way he wants. If you can't take freespeak, go over to BotoxBimbo Victoria's blog and chat with Lew Waterhead and KLATU, the two mindless Grand Ol Pedophile shills straight from the armpit of Oregon.

People post anonymous because the frickin Google/Blogger password is a pain in the ass. Half the time it doesn't accept password, even when its CORRECT.

EVERYONE is anonymous on the web. Any name can be made up, including yours. So unless you're posting your birth certificate, social security number, mug shot and address to go along with your so-called "name," then you're just as "anonymous" as the rest of us, "ScottieBill." Get over it.

Scottiebill said...

Anon 1:34 obviously hates anyone with a different opinion other than his own. And the anon 4:52 ain't much better.

All I was trying to accomplish is to make it easier to sort out the various and very sundry "anonymouses" for a bit of ease in commenting. If these two don't like it, fine.

I really don't give a damn what they think of me, because they don't know me and I damn sure don't want to know them.

Period!

SCOTTIEBILL: YOUR ABOVE POST DIRECTLY CONTRADICTS YOUR POST TODAY (11:24).

First you complain that Daniel accepts comments from anonymous dissenters. You want the dissenters to "identify" themselves so you decide who to "jump on" , although it seems your "jumping" comment has now morphed into "ease of commenting." ROTFLMAO.

Why do you feel the need to "jump on" someone with an opinion that differs from yours. Isn't that precisely the behavior you're complaining about? Hypocrite much?I guess that means that YOU are the one who can't hack an "opinion other than your own."

If someone has an opinion other than your own you want to "jump on them." I think you should change your name to ScottiePot -- as in the "pot calling the kettle black."

Are you really that stupid? Nobody is anonymous on the web. Every post you put up contains data that allows you, in most cases, to be tracked back to your home address. All you need are the proper software tools, and a desire to deploy them.

Actually, Daniel is free to do his blog the way he wants. And he is doing so.

As it appears that you are pathetically attempting to reference my blog, it would probably benefit you to look at the actual MaxRedline site - where a cursory examination would demonstrate that it routinely ranks among the top two dozen or so most-read sites in the state.

I understand your envy. Perhaps you might consider working on your own blog, rather than "anonymously" trolling other sites.

Just a suggestion, little "anonymouse".

In the average chatroom it's likely that the average chatter isn't going to take the time to stalk another chatter. Those who do obviously have mental issues, and, thankfully, there is software to protecy ourselves from those types.

As for you, what can I say? ... If the shoe fits....?

Anonymous said...

Max Redline: "it routinely ranks among the top two dozen or so most-read sites in the state."

What? Where and against what blogs. On Blog Netnews? I wouldn't say your blog even registers on a real scale compared to NW Republican, Blue Oregon, Oregon Catalyst, Daniel's Polimusings, Gully Borg, Rino Watch, Loaded Orygun, Preemptive Karma, Jack Bogdanski's Blog or 10's of other blogs. Man, if you are it, I should start a blog for low achievers, sheesh.

Scottiebill said...

Max, It seems pointless to try to argue with these clowns. They can't stand it when anyone has an opinion on anything that differs from theirs, or when anyone gets tired of their constant prattling on and on ad nauseum about Daniel's past.

It's time to give up on these knotheads and their own little idiotic agenda to convert everyone on Daniel's blog to their way of thinking. They probably won't like it, but who cares?

MAX Redline said...

Right back at ya: Are you really that stupid? To protect an internet address all anyone needs is the right software tools and the desire to deploy them.

Wrong, of course. You know far less than you imagine you know. Of course, I've only been working with computers and networks since 1973. What were you doing back then, little mouse?

Who cares what you would say? The stats speak for themselves. NWRepublican routinely ranks ahead of my site, but generally not by more than 3 to 10 - and it's a multi-blogger enterprise - as is BlueOregon. Bogdanski's got a great single-blogger site, and I direct folks to it in the links section on mine.

Oregon catalyst is another multi-blogger site, as is BNN - and I do contribute material to the latter, on occasion.

Of course, Daniel's site is an excellent example of what one dedicated person can accomplish by blogging, and as a result, folks like you rush in to trash him.

Nobody cares what you would say in regard to blogging, and for two very solid reasons: (1) you haven't checked the statwide rankings, and (2) your idea of blogging involves running over to some other place and talking trash.

It's evident that you lack the skills and the tenacity to maintain a blog. Or maybe you simply fear critics.

I'm inclined to agree with Scottiebill, who describes you and your friend simply, yet eloquently.

I presume that simple terms are something that even you can understand. Eleoquence, of course, just goes right over your head. No problem, kid. It's entirely understandable.

Racist!

No, you're the racist!

Better hope I don't see you on the street, pal.

Republicans fuck children!

Whaddabout Clinton?

Whaddabout Bruce the Barber?

Illegals suck!

Welcome to Miglavia.

Max you are a twit. I thought I would humor this nonsense you posted about your blog ranking and check it out. With most top read blogs in Oregon listing an 86 average or above on the Technorati scale, Max Redline is batting a 19, the same as Daniel. Mover Mike blows it away. That is pretty sad. NW Republican on the other hand is an 86--a hell of a lot more than your paltry 19.

I searched the links from Daniels Political Musings and others listed on Daniel's Technorati page and funny enough the CAUSA website is ranked the same as Daniel's and Max Redline's blog. CAUSA's blog has been only going since June 2007and Max Redline since December 2006. Just shows how "popular" your blog is there, Max. Next time buddy, try not to BS us on how "popular" you are. You are correct, the stats speak for themselves.

I thank the poster for this: “MINNEAPOLIS — A woman who authorities say is in the country illegally and using an alias was charged Friday with four counts of criminal vehicular homicide and two lesser charges in a school bus crash that killed four children.” Has OFIR got it right or what?

And there appears little reason to read any further before thanking you, Daniel, for apparently tying up the most radical elements of the far Left. Instead of giving the wiser, more considerate Lefty’s a hard time as we, too, pursue an end to illegal immigration, these loathsome creeps are morphing into the equivalent of what they supposedly despise.

And though I’m not attacking anyone by name, if the anonymous among us had the ‘guts’ to post theirs – let the search begin! Their vitriolic slurs remind me of how vicious children can be… Consider them a badge of honor!

Actually, I don't do BS. I just look at numbers. Fact is, goofball, the blog gets rankings consistently in the top two dozen according to BNN rankings. Doubt me? Check it out yourself, idiot.

On the other hand, I do my blogging because I like to write about conservative issues. It ain't about "popularity", and I don't run ads. So it ain't about money, either.

It just so happens that BNN has me ranked at 8 in Oregon at present; it it doesn't matter a whole hell of a lot what you or I think about it.

That's the fact, Jack.

If it drops out of the top 2 dozen or so, the BNN rating logo goes away. If it should ever happen, I'm not going to be worrying about it. If you've got a problem with the Redline rankings, maybe you should go bitch at them, rather than running over to Daniel's site and griping.

On the other hand, if there were a Bozo ranking for idiotic commenters, I'm guessing you'd top the chart. Congratulations!

Now, to return to the topic:

I've seen no answer to this:

Umm...hey true - you do realize that hunter ed is all done by volunteers, right? Licensing is handled by DFW, but the hunter ed programs are done by volunteers.
