Foreign government continues to subvert USA

Mexicans Jittery About Raids, Deportations
Panic has taken hold of the six million Mexicans who live in the United States without residence permits, because of the ongoing crackdown on "illegal aliens", which has involved an increasing number of raids and deportations.

The Mexican government has announced measures in defence of its citizens across the border, and insists that immigration reform is urgently needed in the U.S. However, the indications are that there will be no reform until 2009 at the earliest.

You can "insist" all you want but you have no bussiness dictating our domestic policy.

Consulates will also strengthen their legal assistance teams, who help defend immigrants when they face discrimination, and provide advice and support if they are detained with a view to deportation.

And to project a positive image of migrants in the U.S., the Mexican government will launch "direct media campaigns aimed at showing migrant success stories and raising awareness of the many contributions" migrants make to U.S. society, said Calderón.

You can do all the PR you want but when every day average citizens are continuing to "press 1 for English" you are fighting an uphill battle. We are all affected and puff pieces celebrating illegal aliens isn't going to help your side. I can't even imagine:

"Here is Juan Q. Noncitizen, a criminal alien success story because he has taken an good paying American job..."

Yeah, that will convince us.

Punishing the employer sure would be a good idea, but only in a real clear cut case. Basically if the employer files all the paper work on the employee I think they have done enough. If they hear back, "invalid SSN" then at that point they should be able to terminate the employee. In this day and age though, imagine the exposure to law suits from that. Paying someone under the table is already illegal, if they are paid above board and have a phony SSN, let the INS show up and arrest them.

States and municipalities are immune from being compelled to enforce federal law, and justly so. I don't think that, given the complete lack of any sort of resources to check, employers should be compelled to either.

Nervous and Jittery huh?

I just spent a day at the coast and found every motel and restaurant at 98% Mexican staffing save a Gringo now and then to answer the phones and greet customers.

The simple fact is the business owners there could not compete if they didn't hire Illegal Aliens as the competition will and that would leave them proudly bankrupt.

I'm still waiting for a business to declare themselves as "Illegal Alien Free" as when they do they will get my business. How about yours?

The Dollar is what has caused the problem and only the Dollar can fix it.

We have the Power. Lets use it!

Daniel writes: You can "insist" all you want but you have no bussiness dictating our domestic policy.
ROTFLMAO, you just distilled our President, Curious George's, foreign policy to it's most essential element: dictate domestic policy to any country we please. Any time we please, and for any reason we please.

And don't tell me I hate my country, Delucca. I love my country, and I am duty-bound to question it's actions.

Another nugget from Daniel's post:

....You can do all the PR you want but when every day average citizens are continuing to "press 1for English" you are fighting an uphill battle.....

All hail capitalism and the free market! Screeeeeeeech. Whoa there! Remember, this is Miglavia! Businesses commit treason when they make a strategic decision to communicate with a market who pumps BILLIONS of dollars into our economy each year. In Miglavia, the constitutional RIGHT to speak any language you choose means NOTHING because Daniel doesn't like it! When he hears Spanish being spoken his sphincter clenches, he breaks out in hives and trembles uncontrollably. Why? Because he gets his feelings hurt -- in his world (where the sun revolves around him) they're not talking about the soccer game, what's for dinner, or the latest funny thing to come out of their kid's mouth, they're talking about HIM! Egads!

Sure, the gov't should not be using our tax dollars to churn out documents in every language known to man. We do our governing in English. But that's where it STOPS! The constitution defends our right to conduct our lives, outside of government obligations, in any manner we see fit, within the confines of the law, and if that includes speaking in Spanish, Farsi, or Klingon, there is NOTHING you have the right to do about except BITCH AND MOAN (Miglavia's national pastime).

...and PS: I am speaking about the 6 million aliens of Hispanic descent who have a legal right to be here, and the countless millions of Hispanic citizens who are here to stay. Spanish rocks!Speak it all you want. At home, at school, at the grocery store and restaurant. Babble away! (I might even butt into the conversation and practice, if you don't mind!) It's your right and NO ONE can take it away from you!

It's not the largely "anglo" employer the villagers are after...they don't have a problem with their fellow "anglos." You know, the "other" law breaker. But, they'll look the other way on their crime. Those criminals get a pass. It's not their fault, after all, their skin color, accent-free speech and red-white-and-blue pursuits absolves them. It's "the Mexicans" and their "Mexican" music, and "Mexican" language, and "Mexican" grocery stores, and "Mexican" festivals they want to get rid of.

Rememeber: It's all about "border security" ROTFLMAO, yeah, right.

Anthony "Not Tony" Delucca said...

On what grounds do the 6 million aliens you talk about have a "Legal Right" to be here? Where is this "Right" written? The only legal "Rights" that I know of are written in the Constitutions Bill of Rights. I don't see anywhere in there where is says that those who enter the country illegally have "Rights" to be here.

Are you talking about LEGAL immigrants? If so, then they should be afforded all due rights. However, since English is the language of the land, I don't see where I, as a Citizen of this country, should be required to learn a second language (a requirement on a TON of job applications) in order to accomodate an immigrant (legal or otherwise) population.

In a word... "Assimilation". Time was, when someone immigated to the USA, it was a matter of pride to learn english. They were happy to do it. Part of being an American was learning the language. The illegals who come here have no want at all to become an American Citizen...if they did, they would have come here legally. They want to work here, get a free education for their children, make some money, and send it home.

Sugar coat it all you want, but 70%of Americans agree with my point of view. You don't like it, well too bad. Get a ballot initiative together to make Spanish the official language of Oregon.....let's see how far you get with that one.

And last but not least, there are a number of candidates running on a "Tough on Illegal Immigrants" platform, and not one has said that if elected, that they would give amnesty to all Illegal Immigrants. Not one is willing to touch that issue with a ten foot pole. It's political suicide.

There, I'm done with my rant for the day. Feel free to start calling me names now. (Racist and "Nativist" are the "Slur du jour" lately)

Dear Anthony "I went to Australia and got to third base with a kangaroo" Delucca:

On what grounds? Straight from Daniel. Re-read his post.

"...Panic has taken hold of the six million Mexicans who live in the United States without residence permits,..."

Let' do the math. Most everyone uses the estimate "about 12 million" illegal aliens are here now.

In his post, as I have pasted above, Daniel says six million of them are here without resident permits. 12 million minus 6 million equals 6 million. If I misunderstood his numbers, then my bad. It doesn't negate the fact that millions upon millions of LEGAL aliens of Hispanic descent ARE HERE LEGALLY, speaking Spanish while LEARNING English!

Your "okay, start calling me names now" crap is so ridiculous! Get out a pen and paper and make a tally of the names YOU use. Good Gawd, aren't you just a little embarrased at your hypocrisy? Just a teensy, little itty bit?

Delucca sez: I don't see where I, as a Citizen of this country, should be required to learn a second language (a requirement on a TON of job applications) in order to accomodate an immigrant (legal or otherwise) population.

It's a free market! A business has the right to determine for itself, the kind of employee they want to hire! If they want a bilingual employee they have every right to find one! You wrap yourself around the "free market/capitalism rules" flag until a business actually exercises that philosophy by CHOOSING to comminicate with a lucrative demographic. I can't keep up! First you want this, then you turn on a dime and want something completely different!

If "they" don't want to learn English then explain to me why ever damn ESL class in Oregon is standing room only.

Calderon has also called the illegal aliens squatting in America "thematic hostages" of the 2008 presidential campaign and insisted that American politicians not use Mexican illegal aliens as a talking point.
When they insist that we can't possibly deport 12 Million of them, the state Institute for Mexicans Abroad estimates that one million undocumented Mexicans will have been deported during the course of 2007. Unfortunately according to the state National Population Council, about half of that number come back.
Build the wall. If you build it, they won't come.
Mexico would be better served to spend their PR money on improving the condition of the Mexican population in Mexico. That is the only logical solution.

Ron Paul is the only candidate that offers an alternative to politics as usual. The only candidate that will make an honest effort to return this nation to the Constitution.

WRONG! Your statement Panic has taken hold of the six million Mexicans who live in the United States without residence permits

should read:

Panic has taken hold of the 20+ million Mexicans who live in the United States ILLEGALLY

Actually, after years of hearing "the streets of America will run red with the blood of their citizens!" speeches from their president-for-life, the Iraqi citizens, while not all in favor of an American presence, at least understand it.

6 million illegal mexicans? Where did they get that number from? There are an estimated 12-20 million illegals here. Seemingly, all sides agree on that wide number with the left going with 12 and the right with 20. So maybe it is somewhere in between. 16 million seems like a "fair" number in that regard, then. So, we have 10 million OTMs here illegally? No way. I don't believe that for a second. Most of the illegals in this country are Mexican. Whoever wrote that article is full of shit and pulling numbers out of thin air. Fuck the illegals. They know that if they get caught here, they can be deported. The end. Fuck 'em.

R Huse,727: I don't think that, given the complete lack of any sort of resources to check, employers should be compelled to either.

"Complete lack of resources?" What a crock! You are giving an apologist's gold-plated "get out of jail free" card to the law-breaking employers, who started this whole friggin mess in the first place. Give me a phone and twenty minutes and I can find out if a SSN is legit or not. That is such a load of horseshit.

My employer pays an PI $45 per prospective employee. Within 48 hours we have an answer.

Get another excuse Huse.

Bobkatt said...

R huse- gotta agree with your detractors on this one. Employers don't seem to do enough. When the report comes back that they have a large amount of non-match SSN's they should get rid of them or help them straighten out the problem. If they can go to the trouble of filling out W2's they can verify workers are legit.
We need to go after the banks, the labor centers, and everyone who thinks the invasion is just an inconvenience.
States and municipalities should be compelled to insure that the people living in their community are legal instead of trying to circumvent the law and accommodate illegals.

Dallas Solution ...this is a story passed on to me by a local home owners

I have a friend who is president of his homeowners association in the
Dallas, Texas suburbs. They were having a terrible problem with litter near
some of his association's homes. The reason according to Wallace (my
friend) is that six very large, luxurious new houses are being built right
next to their community.

The trash was coming from the Mexican laborers working at the construction
sites and included bags from McDonald's, Burger King and 7-11, plus coffee
cups, napkins, cigarette butts, coke cans, empty bottles, etc. He went to
see the site supervisor and even the general contractor, politely urging
them to get their workers not to litter the neighborhood, to no avail. He
called the city, county, and police and got no help there either.

So here's what his community did. They organized about twenty folks, named
themselves The "Inner Neighborhood Services" group, and arranged to go out
at lunch time and "police" the trash themselves. It is what they did while
picking up the trash that is so hilarious.

They bought navy blue baseball caps and had the initials "INS" embroidered
in gold on the caps. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what
they hoped people might mistakenly think the letters really stand for.

After the Inner Neighborhood Services group's first lunch time pickup
detail, with all of them wearing their caps and some carrying cameras, 46
out of the total of 68 construction workers did not show up for work the
next morning -- and haven't come back yet.

It has been ten days now.

The General Contractor, I'm told, is madder than heck , but can't say
anything publicly because he could be busted for hiring illegal aliens.
Wallace and his bunch can't be accused of impersonating federal personnel,
because they have the official name of the group recorded in their homeowner
association minutes along with a notation about the vote to approve
formation of the new subcommittee -- and besides, they informed the INS in
advance of their plans and according to Wallace, the INS said basically,
"Have at it!"

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes...12 million illegal aliens are
depending on you.

I personaly feel its time to buy a gun. I don't feel safe in my own apartment. I don't feel safe walking to the store. I want the right to ask for legal ID cause god knows(so does teddyk) that the cops wont. Why? Oregon has a law that prevents our police officers from doing their jobs. Just start shooting. Lets take our state back by force.
