Poster child gets to stay?

Hector Lopez is Coming Home!
21-year-old Hector Lopez–the Portland college student who was deported to Mexico in late August–has passed his “credible fear” interview for asylum and is processing parole papers for his imminent release from a migrant processing center in Florence, AZ.

“He’s coming home,” said immigrant advocate Ralph Isenberg from Dallas, who has been working closely with the Lopez family and attorneys. “There’s nothing more I can say right now,” he said, obviously overwhelmed with emotion. The phone call from Isenberg came at about 1:50 p.m. CST.

It never ceases to amaze me how our politicians will say "we need to pass this bill or the puppy dies" but when the bill fails we see the exact opposite happen. Without amnesty the illegal aliens will only get... de facto amnesty.

How in the hell can he be coming home when he's leaving mexico? No wonder the education is so fucked up with this kind of logic.

Well, ask yourself where you would think of as "home" if you were in his position. The country where you grew up, worked, went to school, have all your friends and family, and can speak the language? Or a country you haven't seen since you were 42 days old? People take vacations longer than 42 days.

Really? Who takes a vacay more than 3 months long? I have a friend that is a member of the elite and even when he takes a vacation it's typically a week, maybe two. To compare this story to a vacation is odd, even if it is to make a weak argument for illegals.

My point is that spending six weeks in a place isn't close to long enough to make it a home. Especially if it was before you were old enough to form permanent memories.

Life is tough. You can explain that to the American student who won't get into college because Hector stole his spot.

Hector should be talking to his parents why they endangered his life when he was so young.

Another American dream destroyed.

What Mexican can't claim having credible fear?

What a great story for the holidays. I was hoping something nice like this would happen. Bless this young man.

Maybe the student wasn't as smart as Hector so he didn't get the spot. Most white children aren't. Especially ones raised by conservatives.

Read articles about how the Mexicans treat the people from Hondourus and Guatamala that cross into Mexico. Violence. Mexico has a very strong anti immigration policy. We need to tell them we are using their laws as an example. If the government does not keep them out the Mexicans assault them. There is currentkly protests in the UN from those and other countries about the Mexicans. STOP THE SELFISH MEXICAN HYPOCRACY.
