They already tell us how much water our toilets can use

Unless the government is going to tell me to eat this I'm not playing along.

Funnily enough, I was going to write the same response even before I watched the video: there's a difference between a dumb law and an unconstitutional law.

I was impressed with Kagan today.

Potential lost opportunity here, Miglavs: If you don't eat hamburgers like that, you may live longer and have more time to bitch and moan about "illegal aliens." Think about it!

Oregon: Brunchbox's Redonkadonk

Ingredients: Egg, ham, Spam, bacon, and American cheese on a beef patty, between two grilled-cheese sandwiches on thicker-than-normal Texas Toast bread in the place of a bun

That looks good. It's not even ten o'clock and I'm hungry. You could lose the spam and it would be fantastic.

@Kaelri -
Just say No to Kagan. In Citizens United she argued the Government can bad (block publication) of political material.

I realize she was doing her job. However, she could/should have found different arguments, or realized how horrible the Governments position was and dropped the lawsuit.

Spoken like a true lawyer/politician. Did she ever answer the question?

Kaelri,

If that's what you think about Kagan, then watching grass grow must be a positively exhilarating experience for you. Al Franken couldn't even stay awake during her droning sleepfest!

I propose a Hamburger Summitt: Daniel Miglavs and the Anons. Can't we just get along?

From now on liberals will be known as FP's Facist Progressives. Because they want to control everything.

I propose that the Anons, as usual, bring their beef(s), and Miglavs (as usual) brings a plentiful supply of cheese.

Miglavs, I don't understand this obsession of yours with toilet bowl water. What the fuck? Never in my life have I ever heard ANYONE "tell" me how much water my john uses. The only time I've ever seen this, um, "issue" raised is here on your blog. Whaddaya want to do, fill it to the brim so you can feel cold water splash your ass when you drop a load? Or do you not want to use any water at all so you can shove it down with a stick at your convenience? Tell you what, Miglavs, if you're so bothered by this, keep a gallon or two of water in plastic milk jugs at the ready so you can fill'er up before you ... well, fill'er up. My guess is that the Gov'mint will never know, or care.

Good luck!

Ok Miglavs, I'll play along: Can you provide a link to the law or whatever where "they" tell "us" how much water our toilets can use? I was previously unaware of this egregious violation of my precious freedoms and want to make sure I'm an informed citizen so I can fight for my rights.

7:02 and 8:13 - low-flow toilets are a requirement. If you have one of the older, higher capacity models and need to replace it for any reason, you are required to purchase a low-flow receptacle which employs no more than 1.6 U.S. gallons of water.

Assuming that you could even find a higher capacity replacement for your original throne, it is illegal to install. Moreover, plumbers are prohibited from working on such models for any purpose other than removal.

Similar regulations went into place last year for wood stoves, which must now conform to maximum use/emission requirements. The regulations apply to stoves, fireplace inserts, and similar devices.

702 wait until they come for your light bulbs. Yes, congress made regular light bulbs illegal after 2012. By Congress I mean Nancy Pelosi and her thugs in the Democrate party because...they are the party of controlling your entire life.

Thanks Max. Ok, let me shift into Miglavian mode ...

Daniel used only eleven words on toilet water, not even to make a point about how much water is in our toilets, while you used... 195.

Miglavs mentions this frequently. Clearly it's a subject that weighs on him. Who's obsessed?

If you have ever lived in a house or worked in a building that has bad or old plumbing, you would hate low flow toilets too. I would rather use a little more water than have to plunge the tiolet. However, when you eat cheeseburgers like the one in that picture, I am sure you are full of shit and know all about plugging the toilet.

Hmmmm, so a Mexican Reconquista and now a fat carpet muncher in the Supreme court?!

Pres. O, YOU ARE DESTROYING OUR NATION! and you look like a complete idiot. Makes even W Bush look like a genious.

A Mexican reconquista also running the labor dept. Wasting OUR money running ads to tell Illegals they have "rights", as well?!

SCORE; Mexico = 15 million +

America -9

And today fibbing again Mr. Hussein Obama, that all of sudden can't get Amnesty passed without R's in the party, YET all other bills passed w/out R's. F-ing LIAR!

TRUTH? Many D's know they will be fired in Nov. if they grant Amnesty during a depression. Past Pres. DEPORTED millions in weak economic times including the Great Depression, as they wanted Americans to have a job, instead of groveling at the feet of Big Brother, as now.

Anon 5:08: That gusher in the Gulf will cause FAR, FAR more damage to this country than "illegals" could dream of. Tell you what: Let's revisit the issue exactly one year from now, do a little scorecard. That leak is going to get worse, a lot worse. And not a peep out of you about it. I guess it's okay if a corporation run by white guys does it, but when an "illegal" does it, you go apeshit, you racist piece of shit.

Anonymous said...

Anon 5:08, why is it so important for you to use Obama's middle name? Are you trying to make a point of some kind? What's your point?

Anon 4:12 (& Anon 7:02/8:13),

How frequently does Daniel mention the subject of low-flow toilets or toilet regulations?

Hmmm... lets see:

April 1, 2010
May 13, 2008
November 15, 2005

Wow. Three times Daniel mentioned low-flow toilets or government regulations of toilets in the last four (almost five) years. Less than one mention per year. Can't see any instance where this was even the point of the post.

Yeah, that Daniel is sure obsessed with low-flow toilets.

Anon 5:33 Isn't it typical that someone who calls others a "racist piece of shit" peppers their post with racial slurs...
