Another great day for lawlessness

Monday June 16 will mark another great day in Portland for criminals. It's the grand opening of the new criminal worker labor site. Supported by the Portland Police Beaureu and paid for with your tax dollars this wonderful area will provide a safe haven for people to find jobs that they aren't legally allowed to do.

If I didn't have to go to my legal job where I use my own SSN on Monday I would be there to protest.

Titus 3:1 Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,

1 Peter 2:13 Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;

Romans 13:1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

"Romans 13:1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

So, then Saddam Hussein must have been established by God as the leader of Iraq. Who is George W. Bush then? God? Because he installed a new authority in Iraq and hanged the old one.

But if George W. Bush is God, then who established him as the leader of this nation? The electorate? Are we God?

I'm confused.

"Romans 13:1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

So the authorities in the South during Jim Crow, when it was illegal for blacks to eat in the same restaurants with whites, they were established by God? Does God dislike black people?

Actually, the day labor center is a good concept; it would keep them all together, making it easier for the city to provide them assistance in their endeavors.

The concept could be equally effective in managing other community nuisances as well; take meth users for instance, we should build meth centers. We could provide meth users with meth…we would know where they are and meth user would not need to break the law in order to get their drugs, (well, except the drug laws, which are unjust laws anyway). It’s not like meth users are hurting anyone but themselves

I think it's great for Portland to do this because (hopefully) it will draw the illegal alien SCUM out of Eugene!

BTW - who da hell is the anonymous dork throwing scripture around?

Obviously some idiot liberal pretending to "rightly divide the scriptures".

Daniel said...

Update: Heard that Tom Potter and Randy Leonard had a celebration at the illegal center today and "had the Portland police ready" in case a couple of us showed up with our cameras.

Sorry, I had to work.

Hey justadipshit...I mean, dog:

I'm the anon tossing around scripture, but it happens to be the same bullshit, copied and pasted from Daniel's original post.

Isn't funny how people use a 2,000-year old fairytale, thinking it in some way validates their opinion.

The irony of Daniel's choice to write about an utterly inconsequential event such as the opening of a day labor site (in a city where he doesn't even live) on the day after a Supreme Court ruling in which the President of the United States was rebuked for ignoring the rule of law (FYI, that's habeas corpus, which is sorta, kinda important in "rule of law" circles) is nothing less than a monumental Miglavian mind-fuck.

Can Daniel be so fantastically stupid and blind to his own inconsistences and hypocrisies that he is unaware of the TOTAL disconnect here?

Of course, the comment above suggests that Miglavians should be taken seriously when they talk with such reverence and passion about the rule of law. Actually, I don't take them seriously. They don't deserve to be taken seriously.

They deserve to be laughed at, ridiculed, and scorned.

Thanks for yet another laugh at your expense, Daniel. Appreciate it, nice way to start the weekend!

Actually, turned out to be a great day for rule of law: former Oregon Republican party head Craig Berkman getting hit for $28 million in damages in court for stealing millions from investors. I wonder if Daniel will strut in and take delight in that unfortunate bit of GOP-style nastiness.

Daniel, only a fool thinks he can win an argument with Bible verses. Try using your own brain for --

Oh, wait ... never mind, sorry.

Anonymous said...

Such convoluted thinking on the parts of the various and sundry anonymouses. I'm referring to 1125 and 1239.

As far as the day labor center for the illegals, it would seem logical that the ICE people would show up and round up all the illegals there. And while they are at it they should also arrest Tommy and the Toadies for aiding and abetting illegal activities.

But we all know how soon that will happen.

And, Daniel, all your ultra-critical opponents still do not sem to be able to comprehent the meaning of the word "illegal".

Anonymous said...

Scottieshrill - why is this convoluted thinking? If civil rights activists paid any heed to Romans 13:1 would we not still have a Jim Crow South?

Anonymous said...

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

So to sum up, then, an argument for theocracy.

Welcome to Miglavia.

Anonymous said...

Even people in countries that have monarchies no longer believe that their leaders are divinely inspired.

Riddle: What do Miglavs and the Taliban have in common?

Apparently both wish to see the world returned to a theocratic, medieval social order.

Lovely.

Anonymous said...

who is justareject? Why not use your real name, wimp? I love the rejects from the KKK that name themselves.

Anonymous said...

If the Taliban are "anti-American" and Daniel shares his theocratic impulses with the Taliban, can we say that Daniel is "anti-American"?

Oh hell, who cares if it makes sense or not? This is Miglavia. Daniel, you're anti-American. Since you hate this country so much, leave. But get a visa ... otherwise you'll also be an anti-American illegal alien.

Absolute mindless drivel on the parts of a variety of anon posters here who are in disagreement with the original post.

If you apply rational thought to the day labor site issue, you'll see that it truly is a facility (paid for by tax dollars I'm assuming??) that has a PRIMARY purpose of facilitating criminal activity. That activity being the willful violation of a number of labor and immigration laws (Both Federal and State)that are BY DESIGN, facilitated by the site. Primarily two: Knowingly Hiring a worker who is not in the country via legal means. AND, working in the country without having legal status.

Not to mention the plethora of State labor laws that the contractors violate. I mean, do you really believe that these contractors pay minimum wage, or provide the OSHA required safety training to employees working in hazardous areas, with chemicals, etc??

So, logic and rational thought would tell you that this day labor site is simply a City funded site where criminal activity is allowed to take place, in direct violation of both State and Federal laws. Is that what you want your City spending time and money on??

My logic is undeniable.

Anonymous said...

Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man ...

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities ...

So I guess my question to you Mr. Miglavs is: Why do you not apply these principles with equal fervor and passion to international law? The U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq was and is illegal; this is not in dispute. Principled Republicans know this, and have argued it with the same passion that you apply to illegal immigration ... including one (Paul Craig Roberts) who is opposed to illegal immigration!

I look forward to your reasoned and logical response, which I hope will be reconciled with the Bible passages cited above.

Anon 8:00:

Illegal war?? Really?? It's been going on now for 5 years. Don't you think that somwhere along that five year timeline someone would have found evidence of such illegality and actually began prosecution??

You say that the "illegal" war is not in dispute. Bullshit. Tons of people dispute that statement. In fact, I would bet that if you polled every world leader, the vast majority would dispute your statement. Poll every Senator and Congressman....the majority would dispute your statement. Poll 1000 people at random accross the US...the majority would dispute your statement. The notion that the invasion of Iraq was Illegal is a view principaly espoused by the ill-informed, and is based primarily on emotion rather than on fact.

President Bush got Congressional approval, as well as UN approval prior to initiating any Air or Ground operations. (even though it was not necessary under the cease fire treaty signed by Iraq after the 1st gulf war)

Now, contrast that to the bombing of Bosnia by Pres. Clinton. No congressional approval. No UN approval. Civilians were killed, and no real targets of value were destroyed.

You are simply another knucklehead who has been brainwashed by the liberal propaganda machine.

Scottiebill said...

Anthony: Anything that these guys do not agree with is, to them illegal, immoral, or fattening. And so it is with the Iraq War. They don't like it, therefore it is illegal, despite the fact that Congress went along with Bush and voted for it.

And Anon 1151, the thinking is convoluted because so many of you guys use and twist the scriptures to attempt to make your points, whatever they may be, Just like the Taliban and the other radical Islamist use the Koran to justify, at least to themselves, that whatever nefarious things they are doing is "called for" by the Koran.

You probably won't agree with me on this, but you may have mistaken me for someone who cares.

The assertion made by Anthony DeLucca and ScottieBill that those who believe the war in Iraq is wrong, illegal or immoral is not in any way an argument. It is not even the shadow of an argument. It doesn't deserve to be mentioned in a sentence that has the word "argument" in it.

It is an open declaration of your own ignorance and stupidity. Spectacular ignorance. Stunning stupidity. You both ought to be embarrassed and ashamed. Have you been living in a cave for the last four years? What the hell is the matter with you?

The Constitution Party -- one of the most right-wing parties in the county -- opposes the war in Iraq. Read their platform, Mr. DeLucca. Are these people "knuckleheads" who have been "brainwashed" by liberals?

Former LA prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi, put Manson and his crazy followers away, prosecuted 105 out of 106 felony jury trials, including 21 murder convictions. I think he knows a thing or two about the law, the ultimate "tough-on-crime" prosecutor. Have you seen his new book? "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder."

Opposition to the war in Iraq or to Bush is no longer a partisan issue, and anyone who attempts to characterize the debate over these issues is being or profoundly dishonest or profoundly stupid, or both.

What's your excuse?

My Republican friend sent this to me for Fathers Day, in an attempt that he finally gets what the Repubican party is all about. He said he is voting for Barack Obama, Jeff Merkley and Kurt Schrader as protest votes to the Grand Old Pedophile party. Sounds like my friend is bringing mugwump back.

Just saw the headline that the place opened. Can't believe that taxpayers are ok with spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a project like this. Oregon truly sucks ass. Have a nice day, podunkers! lol

Anonymous said...

I am glad it opened. At least now the folks that hang on MLK looking to be hired won't get run over. Regardless of how you feel about the immigration stuff, safety for drivers and those looking to get hired should be the utmost importance. Nice job Portland City of, you finally are looking out for the safety of citizens.

there were about 25 to 30 day labors at 6th and ankeny at around 11:00 !! yep there all going to use that there day labor center!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

When I drove by today there were two vehicles--one van and one extra cab pickup. There were 5 workers boarding the van. Something like a Construction company logo or something. The pickup was unmarked but there looked to be two workers already in it. Looks like the first day was a success. Good for them. At least they are off of Martin Luther King Blvd.

A guy who wrote a book, and the Constitution Party (and yes, I have read their promotional material and I've done a little research on them. They are a little far out there in my book) opposing the war. That's all you've got?

Bugliosi hasn't been a practicing Attorney in decades, he writes true crime books for a living. And even when he was prosecuting, his forte certainly wasn't international law...he was a criminal prosecutor for LA County.

As for the Constitutional party....having researched the party I find that they are made up primarily of SUPER right wing nut-jobs. So no, I don't take them seriously.

I'll say it one more time: If this 5 year war in Iraq was indeed conducted illegally over the last five years, don't you think that some left wing media outlet like say...the New York Times or MSNBC would have dug up some evidence at this point and would have slapped it up on the front page for all to see?? They've dug up all kinds of other stuff that was ultra-secret like wiretaping programs etc... so they definately have the capability don't they??

i'm glad it's open said........

I am glad it opened. ...........Nice job Portland City of, you finally are looking out for the safety of citizens.

THE CRIMINAL ALIENS ARE NOT CITIZENS.
How would you feel if one of your children (if you have any)was raped and murdered by an illegal alien as Dani Countryman was? What about a family member was murdered or killed by a drunk driving illegal, remember Minnesota, the four dead kids because of an illegal alien?

These were all PREVENTABLE CRIMES!!!!

its day three , do you know were your illega alien is ???

does anyone have any numbers , on how many DAY LABORERS have gotten jobs at the new site?????
