But no Easter eggs

Isn't 3:00pm still the middle of the work day? Praise Allah!

Perhaps they are helping fight terrorism? Translators, Area Experts, things like that?

I'm no gun expert like you, but when I got my deer license at 12 they really emphasized (that's a big word that means they said it over and over) that you make sure you know what you're shooting at before you pull the trigger.

Daniel, if a group of Christian employees had a meeting like this, would you likewise have a problem with it? If not, then your argument (inasmuch as there is any "argument") is void.

Also, you should understand that most federal employees are salaried. That means they are paid for a job done, as opposed to hours worked. Sometimes that works to their advantage...sometimes not. But taking time out of the work day for a collaborative work-related event is hardly a sin to those of us who don't punch a time clock.

My money says Miglavs shot that in his garage.

You Said "Perhaps they are meeting to fight Terrorism."

So really, you don't know why they are meeting, other than what the sign indicates do you?

The sign didn't state "Translators Meeting", nor did it state that there was an "Area Experts" meeting, did it?

No. It stated that there was a meeting of the Federal Islamic Employees, and that other "Sincere" people were welcome. That's it.

Offering a "shot in the dark" guess as to why they are meeting doesn't lend any credence at all to your snide, and childish post.

Another example of someone on the left trying to showcase how much smarter they are .......and failing miserably.

... and if the high school volleyball team calls a meeting during lunch break (on school grounds! Taxpayer-funded! Aaahhhh!!!!) it's "sexist" because it's clearly not intended for members of the football team.

Welcome to the "logic" of Miglavia.

"Islam is incompatible with western civilization."

No, it is not, and the country of Turkey - which I assure you is quite Westernized - would tend to negate your statement that Islam cannot be invoked within the context of Western political and cultural ideals.

Moreover, there are millions of practicing Muslims in America. The vast majority of these people lead fairly normal "American" lives. If your statement was true, then this circumstance would be impossible, and there would not be millions of American Muslims.

I suppose if you have an incomplete understanding of Islam, and associate everything Islamic with the fanatics in that religion, then would wind up with such a silly belief.

The most extreme adherents of both Islam and Christianity have pretty much established themselves over the centuries as being "incompatible" with civilization, whether Eastern or Western. To single out only one demonstrates either a genuinely spectacular degree of ignorance and/or denial.

"So really, you don't know why they are meeting, other than what the sign indicates do you?"

Yes, exactly my point. I was able to make that clear to everyone except you. Perhaps you missed the word 'Perhaps'?

Apparantly, you either failed to read my entire post, or you're stupid. Either way, let me explain again, in terms simple and precise so as not to confuse:

Your post insinuated that Daniel's original posting, which questioned the timing of an apparent Non-Work related meeting, was somehow off the mark. You further "guessed" that "Perhaps" the members of the group were helping to fight terror, translate, or were area experts of some sort.

I would submit that no matter what their jobs may entail, the Federal Islamic Employees group appears to be an un-official group of federal employees of islamic faith, and thus should not be holding meetings during working hours, let alone in a Federal Building in room 4J11-100.

This is of course barring the unknowns such as:

Did they clock out prior to the meeting?

Was the meeting in room 4J11-100 authorized? and so on..

The point is this:

3:00 is indeed during regular work hours for the vast majority of Federal Employees (9am - 5pm in most cases)

I as a taxpayer (and you as well I am assuming) am paying the salary of the federal employees via federal taxes, of which I just stroked a check to Uncle Sam to the tune of $26,769.82

I as a taxpayer, would like the money I pay in taxes to the federal government not to be used to pay people to attend Federal Islamic Employees group (or any other non-work related group for that matter) meetings during a time when they should be working.

You understand now??

Oh, and you don't get a "Deer" get a hunting license, and if you want to hunt deer, you get an additional deer tag to go along with said hunting license. Just thought you might want to know what you're shooting at before you pull the trigger and make a boob out of yourself. Again.

Anon 6:06 You "appear" to be unable to grasp the concept that you and daniel are just making shit up. It's a fucking photograph, you don't "know" anything. Not only that you know with metaphysical certainty what was going everywhere at all times and places ever! Including what my 12 year old self and friends called the thing you clipped around a leg tendon of..a..deer.

Do members of the U.S. Army football team "clock out" when they go to toss the pigskin around a ball field?

How is Islam working out in France, England or other European countries? Not too well.

My good Jewish friend in Atlanta owns 3 bagel shops/delis there. He had an employee that ended up managing the Dunwoody store who was Muslim and from Turkey.(side note, he was there 5 yrs past his school visa so was there illegally, but I digress)
So, every day during certain times of the year (holiday perhaps?) this guy would be gone in the back office for an hour and a half for prayer. Other employees wanted 5 minute smoke breaks, etc which they were not allowed. But 90 mins to pray to whomever, the other guy got. I asked the owner, why him and not the others, he said they guy would threaten to file a suit against him if not allowed. Not fair!

Muslims want special rights for them and nobody else. They are very racist and bigoted.

Didn't the Good Friday losers get their time too? What-cha complaining about then?

Anon 11:57, thanks for just cutting loose and putting Miglavian-style bigotry out there, front and center. Nice to see some uncensored honesty, for a change.

how in the hell is stating that muslims are racist and bigoted makes that a bigoted statement? If you look around the world, you will see that they are. How many churches are in Saudi Arabia? Zero as far as I can tell.

Anon 11:57, if you are also Anon 5:04, give it up: You make about as much sense as a dog trying to explain particle physics.

A dog can't talk, you say?

My point exactly.
