If guns are outlawed... only our government masters and outlaws will have guns

NOTE: I will accept that guns don't deter crime or protect people when the secret service are disarmed.

Supreme Court Weighs Chicago's Strict Gun Ban
In 1982, Chicago imposed the strict gun ordinance to help combat rampant gang and firearm violence that plagued the city.

In court papers, lawyers for the city of Chicago pointed out that 402 of the 412 firearm homicides occurred with the use of handguns in 2008.

I believe that pretty much EVERYONE should be able to have guns. I'm in favor of high school kids storing guns in their locker when on the rifle team. That being said, I don't think that the city of Chicago lawyers should have guns because they are clearly so stupid that they would only be a danger to themselves and others.

They banned handguns and then argue that since so many handguns were used in murders the ban should stay in effect...

Court Hears Second Amendment Debate On City Ban
Paul McGrath was an aide to Mayor Byrne who helped craft the city's anti-gun legislation. He believes doing away with the gun restrictions would be a bad idea.

"If our gun control law is struck down, there will be more guns," McGrath said. "Do we want more guns?"

Yes, we want more guns. In fact, I can't think of a good limit on the number of guns that I would like to purchase. Heck, just in the category of shotguns I can think of at least 5 more that I really really need. But I guess that before I exercise my God-given and constitutionally protected right I should check with Mr. McGrath to see if he thinks that it is a "bad idea."

Clearly our rights should be subject to the "bad idea" test on a regular basis.

Hello. And Bye.

The British overlords loved gun control.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians were exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938. and from 1939 to 1945 13 million Jews and others were exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935; from 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents were exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964, and from 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians were exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970 — from 1971 to 1979, 300,000 people were exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956, and from 1975 to 1977 one million educated people were exterminated.

The democratic leader of DC love gun control. One of the cities with the highest murder rates in the US.

The democratic leaders of Chicago love gun control. One of the highest murder rates in the US.

I'm kinda seeing a picture here. Mass murderers and democrats love gun control.

Now democrats want Americans to be kept from guns. Only an idiot or imbecile would advocate that. Or a mass murderer.

Some questions for Miglavs:

1) What do you want to do that the government is currently preventing you from doing?

2) Why do you like guns so much? Did your attraction to guns begin when you were a criminal? If so, could you speak to that issue?

3) Give us an honest assessment of Joe Stack and Randy Weaver: Criminals, or heroes, in your opinion?

Here are my answers. You didn't ask for them, but you got them.

1. Paying less taxes so they can support government unions and illegal aliens instead of my fellow Americans.

2. Guns are an expression of being an American. This is the only country in the world where you have a god given right to own a gun, unless you are in a democratic or liberal place. See my above post. I've never been a criminal. I'm a US army veteran from Reagan's second term and did not own a gun until several years ago. They are a good investment. They are quicker than calling a cop who is not legally obligated to get involved in saving my life. Protecting yourself and your family is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND OBLIGATION, not the governments.

3. Who the hell is Joe Stack? Randy Weaver was just a guy trying to make a buck after serving his country honorably. He was scammed and family members were murdered by the US government. Several hundred federal agents went after him for something our founding would not have had a problem with. He and his family are unfortunate victims of that murdering bitch janet reno. That is what happens when fascists like her are put in charge. Kinda like when Gen. Wesley Clark murdered Serbian civilians and continued Hitler's work in that area under Clinton's command. You might want to read about Operation Halyard. The Serbs sacrificed their own people to save downed American airmen in WWII. Then during Clinton's we repay them by murdering them, bombing their hospitals and radio stations.

I have some questions for you:
What do you have against guns?
Are you a secret wannabe mass murderer
Who is Joe Stack?
What do you think of Joe Stack and Randy Weaver?

I have some questions for you:

What do you have against guns?

Nothing. I'm totally pro-Second Amendment, I have no desire at all to see it revoked, changed or restricted. I just am curious about the fascination with guns. Don't own one myself, but I was unaware that God gave me the right to have one. News to me. I feel like I have a pretty good relationship with God, but He never told me that part.

Are you a secret wannabe mass murderer?

Of course not, but back 'atcha: Why do you ask stupid fucking moronic questions like this? Your point is ...?

Who is Joe Stack?

He flew his plane into the IRS building in Texas.

What do you think of Joe Stack and Randy Weaver?

I don't know enough about the Weaver situtation to comment, honestly, but Stack was clearly a deranged and deeply misguided person who committed a criminal, terrorist act.

One more question for you, Dave:

Are you really Daniel Miglavs, hiding behind a false name?

P.S. What kind of a gun do you think Jesus would have carried? What do you think his favorite gun for killing people would have been?

One more example of Miglavians believing that the Universe revolves around the United States of America: Guns weren't even invented by Americans, but in the Miglavian version of America, guns are an "expression" of being an American! LOL!!!!! What a fucking idiot.

Now I know who Joe Stacks was. He was a lunatic.
I'm glad you are pro second amendment. With my above examples, you can see what happens when the people cannot defend themselves from governments.

No, I'm not Daniel.

Why don't you anons use a handle?

ANON 2:22 pm, also protesting our government is being an American. Telling the police I don't have to say shit is being an American. We have god given rights guaranteed by the BOR.

In the early seventies my brother went to Yugoslavia as an exchange student. The stories he told me about communist countries makes me happy I'm an American every day of my life. I don't want my grand children to have their freedoms taken away. A lot of these new socialists really don't understand socialism or communism. Most of the time you have a small group or a single person running things, you get a lot of abuses.

No, the world does not turn around our country, but we are the example for freedom for the rest of the planet.

I think it's amusing that a lot of conservatives sarcastically refer to Obama as the "Messiah," when in fact the self-identified "true" conservatives love Reagan more than their own mothers and have mythologized him way beyond the point of ridiculous. Liberals have nothing on these lunatics who want to have the grinning face of their own "Messiah" carved in Mt. Rushmore and to get a street/park/ or lamp post in every county of every state named after the stupid sonofabitch.

I feel that one reason that we are still free is because nobody really knows just how many guns that we own.

Also I agree with Daniel that there should be more guns. think of this. if they ban all guns then you are more likely vulnerable to attack because your attacker knows your not armed, and therefor an easy target.

if more people have guns then your attacker might think twice before trying something because you or bystanders can fight back.

MAX Redline said...

To expand briefly on Robin's observation:

Why have school-based mass murders been so successful? I suggest that it is because the perpetrators understood going in that everybody there would be unarmed. Places like Virginia Tech, Columbine, and others were target-rich environments with little downside. Here in Oregon, we had a similar event starring some guy named Kip something. Had anybody in that school been armed, it's likely that much death and injury could have been averted.

If anybody or everybody might possibly be carrying weapons, you have a safer and much more polite society.

1. Smoking a cigar within ten feet of a doorway.

2. Because guns are awesome. There is actually a tshirt that says that. "I like guns because guns are awesome." I will probably have to purchase that.

3. I had no idea who Joe Stack was until I read further down. He's a moron. Randy Weaver was a victim of the ATF.

I have never posted under any name but my own. I am always willing to take full responsibility and credit for anything I say.

That's the best you can do? That's pretty pathetic. And I smoke cigars.

Is it just me, or is there something almost impossibly surreal about Miglavs calling someone a moron?

Max, I read some info about Israel's situation last year. If I remember correctly, half the teachers are armed and school buses have soldiers with them. Israel is in a constant low level war that heats up at times. The Pali's would love to butcher a bunch of Jew children and yet they don't. They don't because the Jews use guns to protect their children. If we did that, there wouldn't be an or not so many school shootings. For any that did happen, there would be less dead and injured. The second amendment should have been the first. Our founding fathers did a wonderful job but there is now way they could have foreseen the corruption of the politicians these days. They expected an educated population and could not have foreseen American Idol.

...guns are awesome

Spoken like a true 10-year-old.

... Or, like a man whose maturity level hit the wall when he was 10 years old.

Anonymous said...

They expected an educated population ...

... but they got a party of Lincoln that mutated into a bunch of knuckle-dragging morons who think God gave humans (whoa, I mean, just American humans) the right to carry guns and that doing so is "an expression of being an American" (even though God, having a sense of humor, decided to let the Chinese actually invent them).

What a stupid statement. Christopher Columbus wasn't even born when "guns" were invented. It also took several centuries after he was born for our country to be formed. I think you kinda lost the intellectual argument when all you can do is call names.

The freedom of speech is also an expression of being an American. Since speech has been around for thousands of years you don't think that is an expression of being an American. I agree with the above post, spoken like a true ten year old.

You are some kind of genius.

Dave01 10:37, The last line in your first paragraph says it all. Many of the Anonymice on this post are not known for their intellect, be rather because of their lack of it, especially the Anonymouse that goes after Daniel and anybody else that has the absolute gall to disagree with him on anything posted here. This guy will slam Daniel about anything he posts, even if it is something as innocuous as the weather. If brains were dynamite, this Anonymous would not be able to blow his nose.
