No Biden, we're not joking

Obama wants the courts to force socialism on America.

Daniel, your hysterics about the "socialist" Obama wanting to "redistribute the wealth" is WILDLY disproportionate to your criticisms of the Bush administration's redistribution of $700 million of taxpayers (your) money to banks and the finance industry -- a plan McCain also supported. That bailout plan is possibly the greatest single example in the last 100 years of redistributing the wealth in the United States, and yet the Republican-sponsored wealth redistribution plan gets a pass. Why? I look forward to an explanation of your hypocrisy.

Redistribution of the wealth? About time! I'll take tens and twenties! You know the repubs are grasping at straws with this idiotic attack strategy. Didn't they get the memo that no one believes them anymore?

Anonymous said...

Poor Miglavs.

He was irate with the nod of McCain as the GOP candidate, and here he finds himself carrying water for his campaign with this lame boogey-man line of attack on Obama.

Memo to Daniel, no one cares. Even if more than three people read your blog, they wouldn't care either.

This video is really making the rounds in the right-wing media and blogosphere. A final, dying gasp of a politically bankrupt Republican presidential campaign that is painfully aware it's going down the shitter in 9 days.

Read.

Yeah, it's enemy territory, but it explains the error here very well.

It sure does.

Daniel, enough with your bullshit lies.

Lose like a man.

Agreed libs, He is not a socialist, no, but rather a communist. These are not just words..they have real meaning.
"From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs." 1875, the slogan of Karl Marx, co-author of the Communist manifesto. Perhaps if you guys opened a book once in a while you might know who Karl Marx is and when he pushed his communist ideals. Also, Who is Frank M. Davis? Page 190ish on Dreams of My Father.

Uncle Frank, mentor to B. Obama, loved Marx and was a great friend to Alinski?

it is sad to see a mccain hater now have to play as his political "slave." By this i mean run with any story he invents and act like mccain is the best thing since sliced bread. what happened to the pussies who balked that they never would vote for mccain. hey assholes, i stuck to my word and EVEN voted for obama to show my displeasure. I hope you other pushovers like having palin as the future of the party. what a POS joke the republican party is now.

I'm not even going to pretend that an intelligent discussion can be held in Miglavia over what the actual differences between socialism and communism are, so let's play along and throw the Miglavians a bone (they do, after all, have only a week left of entertaining the fantasy of a President McCain) and accept that the commonly understood meaning of the term "communist" is the correct one. Okay, fine, whatever. let's go with that.

So, Anon 5:15: You actually believe, then, that Barack Obama intends to impose "socialism" on the United States, in the 21st century, by means of violent revolution?

Be careful of the CHANGE you are wishing for. You need to educate yourself about he messiah. You may be the first one re-educated or the one to lose the most money. I don't want my children growing up without the American dream. If the messiah becomes the president, he will bankrupt this country with the help of Pelosi and Reid.

My sister does cancer research. Both her and her huspand make a lot of money. If Obama becomes president and increases their taxes (they already pay a lot, probably a lot more than you make) she will quit her job. Do you really want the well educated people quitting their jobs? Maybe one of your family members will get cancer and the work my sister would have done would have saved your family member. But, she quits and your family member dies because of your vote. Would that not be ironic?

I bet a lot of people are in a similar situation. Some of the best and the brightest may decide to retire, quit or move to another country. Wow, then we will have a third world country.

Is that the CHANGE you want?

One last thing, maybe you can have the mexican lettuce pickers that Obama will reward with American citizenship work on your family member to fix their cancer.

Will Sarah Palin confront John Amnesty McCain about the illegal alien invasion?
From her interview with Univision.
As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported?
There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.

Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?
No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They've got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

...I don't get it. Obama's plan lowers taxes for 95% of the people in the country. If you're making more than $250k a year, it's probably not going to ruin your life. I realize that there are always exceptions, and I don't blame you a bit for sticking up for your friends and family. But as a matter of policy, you have to wear a veil of ignorance. Can you seriously support more tax cuts for the wealthy? Is it not abundantly clear that trickle-down doesn't work? Haven't we had eight years to prove otherwise?

And to hell with this "socialism" paranoia. If Barack Obama's a socialist, then so is John McCain. Need I remind you that both of them were completely in favor of spending seven hundred billion dollars of your money to bail out the financial industry? I don't know how anyone could support that that and then go back to proclaiming the virtues of small government and the sanctity of the free market with a straight face.

Forget it Kaelri. They're Miglavians.

I think Anon 5:15 watched "Red Dawn" too many times when he was a kid. While drinking kool-aid. He probably thought it was a documentary. Never underestimate the stupidity of a Miglavian.

Kaelri said...

Well, aside from being "Miglavians," they also happen to be Americans. So I'm not giving up on them.

Anonymous said...

I don't make more than $250K, but my boss' company does. That affects me even though I don't make that much.

Anonymous said...

first he wants tod do away with the bush tax breaks ! OK what does that mean ? It means that because he wants to go back to 1996 tax rates I will pay over 5k morein taxes , and trust me I do NOT make anywere near 250 k. You libs need to look real close at what he says and then crunch some real numbers!!!!!!!

Kaelri said...

1:06 - He's ditching the upper-class tax cuts and keeping the middle-class cuts. Not only do you keep that $5k, but you're getting another $5k back, plus $4k for each child you have in college, if any. This is a good thing for you. :)

Anonymous said...

Anyone every heard of the fair tax !I think that would be the way to go . If you beleaved slick willy when he promesed no new taxes , look back at history . He said it was a tuff thing to do BUT he raised our taxes.
Wit approx 1.3 trillion in NEW spending planed for by obama , just try and figure out how he will pay for all that with increases from those of us making about 40k or more !!!
it is the the only way he can do it!

Frankly, Anon 9:17

I do believe there is pending violence if BHO is elected. And yes, I do believe he will work tirelessly to impose his communist visions, taught to him by his “uncle” Frank M. Davis. I frankly, believe this process has already begun.

Case(s) in point.

A candidate is walking down any street USA. A man is in his front yard playing ball with his son. Candidate asks to man to ask him a question. Man asks a question that embarrasses the candidate. You see the candidate has to finally admit what his plans are for the nation. Spread the Wealth. Candidate’s friends use government computers and the next day it is widely published that man-playing ball with son owes taxes…oh the shame. How dare a common man ask a simple question. (Joe the Plummer)

A TV anchor asks a question of running mate of the candidate a question he was not expecting, and gets embarrassed because his answer is lame, thus he gets defensive. Running mates reaction, call the campaign and demand no more interview with said station ever again! (Anchor in Florida)

A second set of 2 TV anchors asks the running mate a similar question as the one in Florida, well, the same thing happens. Running mate demands punishment of those anchors for daring to even ask such a question. TV station pulls the video. (2 TV anchors in Philadelphia)

You see violence begins with intimidation. When a common citizen can’t be playing ball in his front yard and ask a simple question with out both B. Obama and J. Biden mocking him. Frankly, I do know a couple of plumbers that make over 250 k a year, but that was not their point.

I don’t care if you don’t like the fact Mr. Obama is a communist. It is a fact.

Oh, and lest I forget. ANON 9:17 You did not address the question I posed.

WHO IN THE HELL IS FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS? Open a book and do some research.

Kaelri said...

Oh, good lord. So now Joe the Plumber is the victim a conspiracy. Obama's "friends" with their "government computers." Is that the best you can do?

We've already discussed the Barbara West interview. I can tell you that not only was Biden far from "lame" or "embarassed," but his performance was very well received by his supporters. I'm actually a little disappointed that we won't get to see more. But I do notice that in each of these cases, you're painting the second party as an innocent bystander, in light of which I have to question how familiar you are with the background of either issue.

Barack Obama is not and has never been a communist. His tax policy gives money back to 95% of the population, with zero spending conditions. His health care plan sets up a non-mandatory system that does not replace free-market alternatives, but supplements them, and lowers their cost. He supported a bailout designed to keep our fundamental capitalist institutions afloat. In other words, Barack Obama's platform would make Karl Marx sit down on the floor and cry.

anon 2:27

you said "His tax policy gives money back to 95% of the population, with zero spending conditions."

hello, 45% of working Americans to not pay Federal income taxes. Giving money to someone that does not pay a dime is called SOCIALISM.

Dont worry the jew basher (check LA Times) Obama is a COMMUNIST. He and his jack booted thugs have only just begun. As far as Joe the Plumber. It was a registered democrate, and $$$$ donor to the Obama campaign that has now been arrested for illegally searching Joe's files.

Frankly, if a republican had done that YOU would be screaming like a stuck pig. YOU cant have your cake and eat it too. Hypocrite.

Obama is a communist. Again I will ask...WHO IN THE HELL IS FRANK M. DAVIS? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU LIBS...CANT YOU ANSWER A QUESTION?

Pinkie

Kaelri said...

"hello, 45% of working Americans to not pay Federal income taxes. Giving money to someone that does not pay a dime is called SOCIALISM."

...tax cuts don't actually involve a back payment, you know. It's just a reduction in the amount owed.

"Frankly, if a republican had done that YOU would be screaming like a stuck pig. YOU cant have your cake and eat it too. Hypocrite."

The Obama campaign called for a full investigation of that crime. Same as the guy who cracked Sarah Palin's email account. But it's not as if Joe was falsely accused, nor was he an innocent bystander who was unwittingly dragged into the fray. He was not the independent, undecided voter that he claimed to be. He's a registered Republican who voted for McCain in the primary. He has familial ties to Charles Keating, for heaven's sake. This is what I meant when I said I wasn't sure how familiar you were with the reality of the issue.

"WHO IN THE HELL IS FRANK M. DAVIS?"

A communist and a high-school mentor to Barack Obama. He's not John Galt, man, you could have Googled that.

"Obama is a communist."

Whatever you say, dear.

The Founding Fathers On Redistribution
October 28th, 2008
From various sources:

“To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.” — Thomas Jefferson, letter to Joseph Milligan, April 6, 1816

“A wise and frugal government… shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.” — Thomas Jefferson, First Inaugural Address, March 4, 1801

“Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated.” — Thomas Jefferson
“The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If ‘Thou shalt not covet’ and ‘Thou shalt not steal’ were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free.” — John Adams, A Defense of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America, 1787

“With respect to the two words ‘general welfare,’ I have always regarded them as qualified by the detail of powers connected with them. To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a metamorphosis of the Constitution into a character which there is a host of proofs was not contemplated by its creators.” — James Madison in a letter to James Robertson

In 1794, when Congress appropriated $15,000 for relief of French refugees who fled from insurrection in San Domingo to Baltimore and Philadelphia, James Madison stood on the floor of the House to object saying:
“I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” — James Madison, 4 Annals of Congress 179, 1794
“[T]he government of the United States is a definite government, confined to specified objects. It is not like the state governments, whose powers are more general. Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government.” — James Madison

But maybe they were wrong and Mr. Obama is right.

After all, he is a Constitutional scholar.

Hey, just wanted to let you know I voted against Measure 58 because it is the most moronic proposal ever. Good job OFIR.

Well Pinkie, if you believe that a politician approaching a citizen to ask for his vote is "intimidation," then why don't we just cancel campaigns, period? No door-to-door stuff, no shaking hands, no leafleting, nothing.

And if approaching a man in public to simply make friendly conversation is "intimidation," then please tell me why what the Miglavians do to Mexicans at day labor sites ISN'T "intimidation." They have stated, after all, that all they're doing is "talking" to them, and that this does not constitute "intimidation." That's an explanation I'd love to hear you make.

And finally ... where can I get some of this kool-aid you drink? The visions sound amazing ...

Pinkie, you're a fucking idiot. In case that wasn't coming across ...

Anonymous said...

5:05, that's a nice try, but let's cut to the shit: The Founding Fathers wrote so voluminously (and intellgently) on so many issues, that it is basically possible to find a quote somewhere from one or more of them that makes whatever case you want to make. It's like dueling Bible verses ... a game that can't be won and only fools play.

Nice try, though. This bizarre reconstruction of Obama into a "socialist" by the lunatic right is one of the most ridiculous spectacles I've seen in a presidential race ... and I remember Dukakis in that tank.
