the voters of Oregon chose not to follow the trend of the nation last November and reelected the same idiots back into office.
Which is also one of the reasons why one of the first things that the legislature had on its docket was to designate the border collie as the state dog.
So let me get this straight. Miglavs, who constantly bellyaches that our justice system is far too lenient on illegal alien "criminals" (the vast majority of whom have committed nothing more than the "crime" of wanting a better life for themselves and their families), was himself the beneficiary of that same lenient criminal justice system's overlooking of simple right and wrong?
Miglavs, you should be glad that the criminal justice system does not always view legal matters in such strict accordance, and that notions of "justice" are sometimes a matter of perspective more than anything else.
Because I dare say, if we truly had a "by the books" legal system as you wish, and if people who as a matter of plain fact committed crimes were simply locked up without further inquiry into particular societal and/or legal contexts, you my friend would be rotting in jail right now. You were, after all, illegaly in possession of a gun, no? And regardless of what you think of that law, it IS a crime to illegally be in possession of a gun, correct?
In your case, the officer(s) only made a calculation most of us would have made: If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...it's usually a duck. You lawyered up and, in a display of hypocrisy so egregious that it almost causes me to fall out of my chair, you eventually avoided that jail time you so richly deserved by virtue of being a criminally-minded societal dreg.
Ever heard of the phrase "moral authority"? You have none, sir.
Nor do you apparently have any shame, to set up a blog whose sole purpose is to rant against the way society - in some tizzy of "political correctness" - no longer plainly distinguishes between simple right and wrong.
(No wonder Lars stopped referring to you as one of his favorite bloggers. Someone must have finally informed him that in fact, you're one of the societal dregs who should have been hoisted by your own petard years ago.)
I could not even dream of hypocrisy and irony so, so deliciously rich. One of these days you're going to admit that this blog is just a very clever and cynical joke, right? Right???
No wonder Lars stopped referring to you as one of his favorite bloggers ...
Did he really? I haven't listened to Lars in literally years. I stopped after I heard him tell an unambiguous lie on the radio, and when I emailed him documentation to illustrate that he was, in fact, full of shit, he refused to do a correction. I turned him off then, and never went back.
Yes, I believe so. When I last listened to Lars (which was over a year ago), I distinctly noticed that mentions of the "Daniel Is Right" blog seemed to have come to an abrupt halt. Even Lars must have realized that referring his audience to a common thug who avoided jail on a technicality, might eventually come back to harm his own reputation.
And yes, Lars often plays fast and loose with "facts". But then, so do most talk show hosts. They realize they are mostly preaching to the choir, and that they have a mostly sympathetic audience who won't listen with a critical ear.
Trying to correct Lars by sending him the actual facts, wrongly assumes he cares about the actual facts. Like any partisan hack on the right OR left, facts are of secondary concern to making the "other guy" look bad. I think it was famous right-wing partisan hack Grover Norquist who once said, "Lying for the cause is sometimes a permissible mental reservation."
Lars "The Great White Dope" Larson probably loves Daniel regardless. Lord knows when a whitey does something illegal that is OK, but when someone of color does, watch out.
Someone should call Lars and ask him about his buddy Lou Beres, formerly of the Oregon Christian Coalition.
Wu told The Oregonian he had accepted prescription medication from a campaign contributor in Portland in October.
Isn't that a federal felony receiving prescription medication from someone? If that is, will we see Wu and his contributor arrested and prosecuted or will he get promoted by the democrats for his crimes? I think DHS needs to be sent to his house along with the police to protect his children.

{Senate Concurrent Resolution 3... official state dog}
(Sigh)
I know how you feel, Miglavs. I felt the same way during 1980-1988.
I know how you feel. Kind of takes you back to 2002-2003

Lars must be a Norquist fan.

Rawwrrr! I'm a Miglavian!
"The 18th Street gang is of Hispanic origin and was formed by Mexican-American youth who..."

Something about this and miglavs does not compute.
Funny--18th Street Gang and Miglavs. Is he undercover or something?
If only there was someone around here who could clear this up.

Fuck Wu. Miglavs biography is much more interesting. I'm still wondering how a white neo nazi ends up in a mexican gang.
