Tax dollars for the Tan Klan
A recent proposal in Congress — H.R. 1999, which was cosponsored in April by Reps. Ruben Hinojosa of Texas and Rick Renzi of Arizona — would provide $10 million a year to a radical immigration group, the National Council of La Raza (meaning "the race"). The bill offers funds for "community development and affordable housing projects and programs serving low- and moderate-income households," for families of "Hispanic origin."
No word on whether or not mixed-race families such as mine would be eligible for these programs. I am picturing the La Raza enforcement folks standing in the doorway holding one of those paint cards that you get from Home Depot with different shades of the same color. If you are brown enough they let you in.
NOTE: What is wrong with legislators from Texas and Arizona? Are the illegal aliens peeing in the water supply?

We know they are liars
There’s a simple reason the immigration bill being debated by the U.S. Senate is unpopular with voters—the general public doesn’t believe it will reduce illegal immigration. And, in the minds of most voters, that’s what immigration reform is all about.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 16% of American voters believe illegal immigration will decline if the Senate bill is passed. Seventy-four percent (74%) disagree. That figure includes 41% who believe the Senate bill will actually lead to an increase in illegal immigration.
We all know they are full of garbage. Make sure that you keep communicating this to them.

Don't be fooled
If the message was: once you get the money/merchandise off the bank/store property it's yours to keep then we would have a lot more stealing.
The key is reducing the incentive (think signs that indicate there is less than $50 in the cash register) and punishment after the fact.
Our border should be "secured" but it is impossible to design a foolproof safe let alone miles and miles of border if what is on the other side of the barrier is a strong enough pull for criminals.
The term we are looking for is "interior enforcement." The simple method of requiring names to match the SSN for a bussiness to claim the employee as a tax break is the biggest no-brainer in the world. Requiring the same for any social services, drivers licenses, banking, etc is the next step.
We can't arrest all burglars in one day just like we can't deport all illegal aliens in one day. But we can arrest and deport them when we find them. We can put up a big sign that says "only $50 in the safe" to reduce the incentive for them to come here and break our laws.
Or we could go the Clinton/Reno method...
Getting rid of the "worst" of the ones who got caught
Federal officials plan to step up efforts to deport illegal immigrants who have been jailed for committing crimes in Oregon and Washington.
"Aliens that are criminals will be arrested and convicted, and if they're subject to removal, we're going to get to them before they get back on the street," Neil Clark, field office director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement's detention and removal operations in Seattle, told The Oregonian newspaper.
"I'm going to accomplish as much as I can," he said. "If I can do the complete workload, I will. If I can't, then I'm going to get to the worst criminals first."
And do the rest of them get "probationary status" aka amnesty?
Make sure that you keep up with the phone calls/emails/faxes. When the amnesty was proposed our legislators saw actual spontaneous outrage from their consituents and were put back on their heels. Now the illegal aliens supporters have organized Spanish only phone lines to ask for amnesty.
Make sure that you have been heard.

Don't be sheeple
So this afternoon I decided to do something different. I uprooted my yard sign that says "Illegal immigration is a crime"... and proudly waved it while standing on the corner of HWY99 and Tualatin-Sherwood road from 5-6pm.
The response was overwhelmingly positive and hopefully some people who had intended to email/call their representatives (a term I use lightly) will be inspired/reminded to actually do so.
We can't let up the pressure. This is do or die for America. There is no remedy if this amnesty bill passes. We won't have to worry about "drivers licenses for illegals" because there won't be any illegals.
If you get upset about a $0.30 increase in gas prices just think about the $3,000 annual increase in your medical costs due to illegal immigration. Time to get upset and make your voice heard.
I appreciate everyone who takes the time to send a fax/email or make a phone call. Every little bit helps. But America is worth more than two minutes of your time. The rule of law is worth more than one phone call.
If standing (or walking back and forth) on a street corner with a sign that inspires the right people, makes the illegal alien supporters angry enough to flip you off and makes any illegal aliens driving by very uncomfortable then I will continue to do it.
I'm open to suggestions for more ways that we can defeat this bill and wake up the American Idol watching sheeple of this country to the fact that their homeland has been invaded and their politicians are ready to sell them out.

Say no to amensty "en espanol"
Just listen through the spanish and press 1 for Wyden and 2 for Smith. You then press 1 to connect (because you don't need further instructions in Spanish) and you will be patche through to the senator's office.
Say NO amnesty. Tell these jokers that you oppose the current immigration bill and that Smith, who is up for re-election will not get any money, support or a vote from you if he votes yes on this bill.

There will be no shoving this down our throats
Senate leaders agreed Monday that they would wait until June to take final action on a bipartisan plan to give millions of unlawful immigrants legal status.
The unlikely coalition that brokered the deal, led by Sens. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., and Jon Kyl (news, bio, voting record), R-Ariz., is plotting to protect the agreement from "deal-breaker" changes that would sap its support. The group will hold daily meetings starting Tuesday to determine whether proposed revisions would sink what they are calling their "grand bargain."
We did this. Our supreme rulers wanted to railroad this through and shove it down our collective throats. They announced a "deal" thinking that the good sheeple of the United States would accept the grand wisdom of the commissars and return to watching American Idol.
We didn't. (some of us never watch American Idol) We flooded them with angry phone calls, faxes and emails. We said NO to amnesty.
We've put them back on their heels but we haven't won yet. This bill is still capable of destroying our country as we know it. We need to keep up the pressure and make sure that our politicians know that we said NO to amnesty this last weekend and we will still say NO to amensty in June.
Watch your approval numbers go down
Fewer than 20 senators are publicly committed to supporting the immigration deal that hits the Senate floor today while nearly 40 are already opposed or have serious concerns, underscoring how difficult it will be for President Bush and his allies to craft a coalition that can pass the bill.
Let's help the folks who are "undecided" make up their minds! Send an email. Keep calling.

Immigration and "families"
From inside the Malheur County Jail, illegal immigrant Fernando Gordillo said his life was six times more lucrative as a dairy worker in Ontario than as a chauffeur in Chaipas, Mexico.
From... inside... the county jail.
The cost of illegal immigration is evident at the jail. Around 12 percent of the inmate population is being held without bail for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement — at a combined cost of $828 per day.
Don't worry amigo, Bush/Kennedy/McCain/other traitors are working hard to make sure your crimes don't really county. They will help you unite with your family...
Gordillo said he and his wife separated following domestic issues. A restraining order prevented Gordillo from being near her and their children.
Yes, "domestic issues." Way to go Tony Snow, these are the family values that will make these criminals vote Republican you traitorous piece of garbage.

Some criminals are more equal than others
When folks such as Tony Snow, Bush, Kennedy, etc talk about how we want the "folks who have been here working hard and not breaking our laws" keep in mind that they mean "folks who have been here and HAVE BEEN AND ARE STILL CURRENTLY breaking out laws."
So you may be able to find some illegal aliens who have only committed several crimes but not been caught for a rape. This criminal is treated like he never broke the law. According to Tony Snow this guy is a natural Republican. You know, someone who is willing to lie, steal, cheat, mis-identify themselves, commit fraud, etc. Way to give republicans a bad name Tony.
No money for the RNC. No money to the Republican Party. None.
10 emails, 10 faxes, 10 phone calls
Attacks from left and right suggest that the latest push for change, although representing a potential breakthrough, could again end in a stalemate.
"This is far from over," Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) said, criticizing as "amnesty, amnesty and amnesty" the provision that provides illegal immigrant workers with a path to legal standing and citizenship.
There are so many means of applying pressure at this point it is mind boggling. Contact your Oregon/Washington senators and reps, contact every presidential candidate, contact state and national party officials, contact senators and reps from other states.
Use the phone, there are probably 10 different numbers to call, use the email and webforms, visit the local office of your sentator or rep.
Keep your message short and sweet: No amnesty, we will never support you again if you reward illegal aliens. It doesn't have to be longer. A staffer is just going to tally the opposition phone calls/email/faxes and let the elected official know that they are getting X amount of negative feedback on this bill.
Make sure you contact Walden and DeFazio. Let's make sure that these two Oregon reps are on the right side of this one.

STOP THE AMNESTY
Bush, Kennedy and McCain are ready to sell out our country, the rule of law and the people who they are supposed to represent. But the amnesty is not a done deal. We can stop it. That means you don't just leave a comment here but you leave a comment with as many lawmakers and decision makers (read: party officials and the folks who supply the money) as possible.
The traitors are already under a deluge of negative phone calls, emails, faxes etc and we need to keep up the pressure. Let them know that they get no votes, no money, no suport, no more power.

Good news department
The hot-button illegal immigration issue bubbled just below the surface Tuesday as the Oregon Senate voted to require proof of legal residence to get a driver’s license, a move which could deny driving privileges to thousands of undocumented workers.
The Senate vote, which was far from the last word on the subject this session, drew negative reviews from various quarters, including immigrants rights advocates, civil libertarians and Gov. Ted Kulongoski’s office.
This is good news that we seem to be moving forward on at least this bill. No more will illegal aliens get a pass when driving their meth up I-5.
But let's not count our anchor babies before they pop out, this bill is not yet law and we need to keep the pressure on to get it a vote in the House and a signature by Kulongoski.

The great debate
On the lighter side here is a debate from MADtv

If you build it, they will come
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children is a federal grant initiative that provided $1.26 million in food last year to thousands of low-income people living along the Idaho-Oregon border in Payette and Malheur counties.
That number is for two counties, imagine the number in Marion/Washington/Multnomah counties.
The number of local program recipients lacking legal citizenship status, though, is apparently unknown.
The WIC program was deemed “effective” following a 2006 study by the United States Office of Management and Budget.
There is no record, though, regarding how many local participants may be illegal immigrants because U.S. citizenship is not required to receive WIC services in Oregon and Idaho.
“Legal and illegal immigrants can apply for and receive WIC services,” Gene Gunderson, Director Idaho’s Southwest District Health, said.
Their version of "effective" must be different than mine. Mine says that "effective" means we don't help criminals.
Bilingual staff serve in the WIC offices for Malheur County and Payette County.
This is actually a very good news article. Just the facts. Criminals avail themselves of taxpayer services. Simple. We have an illegal alien problem not because the criminals are so "hardworking" but because they have figured out that they can come here for freebies supplied by John Q. Taxpayer.

67% say NO illegal aliens
67% = do not want illegal aliens
32% = do want illegal aliens
This is big news right? Total landslide on a big election issue. I mean, a google news search of "Texas" and "immigration" should pop up a whole bunch of articles right?
Here are the results as of 5-13-07 at 12:19pm
That's 36 articles about the landslide vote to keep out illegal aliens and 58 articles about how a border fence will "interfere with wildlife."
But hey, they are very objective and contain both quotes from proponents and opponents of the measure like the laughable one put out by CBS. Oh wait, no they don't.
Here is the FOXNews version.
There's no poll like an actual vote of the people and illegal aliens lovers everywhere are going to be sadly disapointed by the results. God bless democracy.

Those "family values"
The father of three men charged in the foiled Fort Dix terror plot was arrested this week on immigration violations and is in federal custody, two law enforcement sources said today.
Federal investigators have found no evidence linking the parents to the alleged plot to kill soldiers at Fort Dix. But, the source said of the parents, "You can't ignore the fact that they are here illegally."
Nobody in the family was ever given legal residency status, the sources said. It was unclear why the Duka's had not been charged with immigration violations earlier.
I just can't imagine why he hadn't been charged with immigration violations earlier. It just boggles the mind...
Some good news

America is not a country but an "idea"
Thank you Lindsey Graham, you are a traitor to America but at least you pulled McCain under the bus with you by giving this insane speech.
I guess when you give the speech at an event hosted by a racist organization you can call Americans who want our laws enforced "bigots" and tell them to "shut up."
In a completely unrelated story... (FOXNews.com link)
Three brothers charged in the alleged Fort Dix terror plot have been living illegally in the U.S. for more than 23 years and were accepted as Americans by neighbors and friends who had no idea they would scheme to attack military bases and slaughter GIs.
A federal law enforcement source confirmed to FOX News that the three — Dritan "Anthony" or "Tony" Duka, 28; Shain Duka, 26; and Eljvir "Elvis" Duka, 23 — also accumulated 19 traffic citations, but because they operated in "sanctuary cites," where law enforcement does not routinely report illegal immigrants to homeland security, none of the tickets raised red flags.
What's that Lindsey? I belive you were saying something about me shutting up?

Let's legalize them
Six foreign-born Muslims were arrested and accused Tuesday of plotting to attack Fort Dix and slaughter scores of U.S. soldiers - a scheme the FBI says was foiled when the men asked a store clerk to copy a video of them firing assault weapons and screaming about jihad.
Four of the men were born in the former Yugoslavia, one was born in Jordan and one came from Turkey, authorities said. All had lived in the United States for years. Three were in the United States illegally; two had green cards allowing them to stay in this country permanently; and the sixth is a U.S. citizen.
The suspects and their immigration status
Clearly these hardworking immigrants deserve some sort of amnesty program. Let's make sure they have access to drivers licenses (ID), jobs (income), welfare (more money for the jihad) and the cover of 20 million other illegal aliens who they can hide amongst (open borders and no interior immigration enforcement).
Three cheers for the video store clerk who didn't find it politically incorrect to speak up when he saw something suspicious.

But you must habla the language
$1,963 - $2,771 MONTHLY
These employment opportunities are with Children, Adults and Families, which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS). There are two full-time openings within the Oregon Health Plan located in Salem Parkway Building. These positions are union represented.
This is your chance to talk, live, to real illegal ailens who are draining our precious public resources. What an exciting opportunity.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
DHS is about people. We help Oregonians be independent, healthy, and safe. We protect children who are abused or neglected. We provide treatment services to people whose lives are damaged by alcohol and drugs. We serve seniors, people with disabilities, and people with mental illness. We help low-income people along the road to self-sufficiency with health coverage, job preparation, childcare and other supports. We provide leadership in public health services.
And on and on. (I finally had to cut it off) But I am really worried about those people whose "lives are damaged by alcohol and drugs." Or maybe they meant to put "people who have damaged their own lives with alcohol and drugs..."
Or maybe they didn't, see below post.

File this under: we are helpless victims
Quiting is not a process. It means you stop. You have free will and don't always need a crutch or help from someone to quit something. If you want to do something then do it, if you really want to stop doing something then you will have already done so.

Another "hardworking" invader
A 17-year-old accused of shooting a classmate in the face at a popular outlet mall on the Oregon coast made his first court appearance on Tuesday and there are now clues as to what may have sparked the crime.
Hector Canales-Robles made faces and danced in his chair while in court.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement put an "immigration hold" on Canales-Robles following his arrest.
Golly gee, what does it mean that he has an "immigration hold"? I sure hope that this "hardworking immigrant" got to at least watch his compatriots march in the May Day parade.
This crime was preventable because the perpetrator should not have been in this country. Obviously we will always have dirtbags. But let's make sure that dirtbags from other countries can't come here illegaly to commit their crimes.

Keep walking guys
Keep on walking south folks. And I realize that the organizers, after getting the memo, passed out American flags but you geniuses still carry the Mexican chicken-and-worm as well as pictures of your beloved Che. Go ahead and take those down south with you.
American flag + chanting is Spanish = you're not fooling anyone.

Oh yes, support is high amongst drug users and fellow rapists
The illegal aliens, flush with pride for a country they have abandonded, are marching again. Unfortunately no one in America is sure what they are marching about because we don't speak Spanish.
And while the libs contend in the comments section here that amnesty is so popular, we can't seem to find a single national politician who will come within 10 miles of that word. It's almost like there is some sort of... what's the word... border, between them and using that term. Real popular.
Good luck with that amnesty thing my illegal alien friends: Americans don't respect you, bussinesses just use you and you've shown with your feet which country/culture/language/monetary system/etc is superior. So much "pride" there.
