Tomorrow, I hope that President Bush decides to take his Iraq War in a direction that brings our troops home, rather than to grasp at military straws to recover from a political error. If instead he escalates American participation in Iraq's civil war, every American who dies in Iraq from this day forward is a patriot lost because one American leader cannot admit mistakes.

Mr. Wu, like most Democrats have a vested interest in America's defeat...that interest being the aquisition of power. To them (as bad as it sounds) the more Americans killed the better their chances in 2008. So they are so vested in hating Bush they will do anything to make him and America look bad if it means the aquisition of power. No wonder terrorists and communists were rooting for the Democrats in the last election cycle...they know who thier friends are.

Part of the problem in Iraq is Bush's failure to control Iraq's borders. Loads of Iranians have now moved to Iraq, and are voting there.

Iraq’s DM: Over a million Shiites entered Iraq from Iran :
Baghdad, Jan. 06 (2005) - Iraq’s Defence Minister Hazem Shaalan scolded Iran on the eve of the meeting by the Foreign Ministers of Iraq’s neighbouring countries in Amman and said that over a million Iranians had entered the country to pose as Iraqis in the upcoming January 30th elections.
“If we go to Basra, we will not hear an Arabic accent, rather we will hear a Farsi accent, and this is also true of Najaf and Al-Kut provinces … This is a sign of significant meddling since it shows how open Iran’s borders are”, he said.
“The number of Shiite Iranians who have entered the country is more than a million”, he said, echoing remarks by Jordan’s King Abdullah II who estimated the same figure in December and said that Tehran is attempting to create a “Shiite Crescent from Iran to Syria and Lebanon”.
“We have intelligence indicating that Iran is sending fake families to Iraq, many of whom are based in Karbala, Najaf, Baghdad, Al-Amara, and Al-Kut; the documents are in our hands”, he added.

(Then a funny thing happened. Around 1-20-05 Sha'alan said he would arrest Ahmed Chalabi and hand him over to Jordan to be tried for bank fraud. But when the new Shi'ite-controlled government took over, Sha'alan fled to Jordan, and Iraq's government now accuses Sha'alan of $1 billion worth of fraud. So I'm guessing Sha'alan's evidence of voter/identity fraud won't be looked at anytime soon.)

Iraqi Minister says Iran seeks to rig Iraq elections :
Baghdad, Jan. 20 (2005) – Iraq's Minister for Provincial Affairs accused Iran of spreading its "sphere of influence" throughout Iraq, in preparation for the January 30th elections.
"Many Iranians are producing fake Iraqi identity cards to be able to take part in the elections", Wa'el Abdol-Latif said, speaking to the London-based Al-Sharq Al-Awsat (Middle East) daily yesterday.
In particular Abdol-Latif warned that the Iranian regime was becoming very influential in Basra.
But he also stated that the Iranian regime was not just concentrating its influence in Basra, rather it was "sending surrogates all over Iraq, even reaching Falluja".
Abdol-Latif added that a number of Iraqi political parties were receiving backing from the Iranian regime.
"Due to the security situation and non-existent border controls neighboring countries have been able to spread their domination in Iraq, at the same time supporting certain Iraqi groups", he said.

This is just a difference of opinion, but I think you are wrong. Democrats will be quick to remind the public of who was responsible for US involvement in Iraq and how they would not have had to make the decision to leave had the president not declared war on Iraq. Blood will be shed in the middle east regardless of whether or not we are involved, and I personally beleive it's best we stage a gradual withdrawal, possibly adhere to the reccomendations of Baker/Hamilton, and have nothing else to do with Iraq, mainly because the number of autrocities that the United States has commited against Iraq is quite high.

Your other link sends us to an article from the "SourceWatch" wiki run by the far-left "Center for Media and Democracy". They invite everyone to write stuff : "This site is built by ordinary wise people, like you. You don't need any special credentials to participate -- we shun credentialism along with other propaganda techniques ... So, you can just dive right in and work on any article you like!" (Credibility? Objectivity?) The author of the wiki article against iranfocus.com isn't given -- but i have a hunch it's Nema Milaninia.

The LA Times article at best makes vague inferences to the claims you produce in your argument. The best evidence provided is the statements of a few Iraqi officials, of those who's credibility I'm sure all of us question.
