Does it have anything to do with the 7 and 9/10 children they have in the store eating food while walking down the aisle? (the 9/10 is the 8th anchor baby who might just drop right there by the Doritos)
How do people who have no legal way to earn income do their grocery shopping?

Putting all of these textual elements together, we find that they guarantee the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation. This meaning is strongly confirmed by the historical background of the Second Amendment. We look to this because it has always been widely understood that the Second Amendment, like the First and Fourth Amendments, codified a pre-existing right. The very text of the Second Amendment implicitly recognizes the pre-existence of the right and declares only that it “shall not be infringed.”
We have always had the right to keep and bear arms for personal defense. The Bill of Rights told government that they could not infringe upon this right. In theory that means stupid governors, mayors, presidents and even Ginny Burdick can't tell us what, where, when, how or why we have our guns.
Democrat Barack Obama said Wednesday he disagrees with the Supreme Court’s decision outlawing executions of child rapists.
I have said repeatedly that I think that the death penalty should be applied in very narrow circumstances for the most egregious of crimes,” Obama said at a news conference. “I think that the rape of a small child, 6 or 8 years old, is a heinous crime and if a state makes a decision that under narrow, limited, well-defined circumstances the death penalty is at least potentially applicable that that does not violate our Constitution.”
That's a condemnation these days? I know it really pained Obama to know that the bitter clingers of America all think that child rapists should be on the fast track for the gas chamber so he had to come out with something.

I would first point out that the best way to survive MAX violence is DO NOT RIDE THE DARN THING.
Second, every bullet fired, even bullets lawfully fired in defense of yourself and others, has a lawyer attached to it. The prosecutor (hopefully) will decide that you acted legally but that doesn't stop the scumbag lawyers from coming after you in civil court. You DO NOT want to have to shoot someone.
When deciding what hangun ammo to use it's always best to ask the experts: law enforcement. This also relates to point number two I made. If, God forbid, you wind up in court for a lawful shoot it's geat to testify that "I carry Brand X which is what the local PD/Sheriff's office carries in their handguns."
I just realized that this is going to get very long so let me just point you towards a very exhaustive report worth a read.
Best Choices for Self Defense Ammo
Note: Hydra-shoks, full metal jackets and Safety Slugs do not make the list. I'm a fan of the Speer Gold Dot.
And no gun post would be complete without pointing you towards OFF.

"Project Summer * Everybody Eats"
Beginning June 17th, eleven school sites will be participating in the summer food service program which offers meals at no charge to all children in the community ages 18 years old and younger.
No Special Application is necessary!
What's on the menu in Beaverton? Hold on, let me make sure I click on the English version...
Chicken Caesar Salad
Teriyaki Chicken Bento
Honey BBQ Rib Strips
Fresh Turkey & Cheese
Rib strips? Chicken Caesar salad? I guess you don't have to go to Applebees to be eating good in the neighborhood.
How long until we see a "weekend" food program to feed kids? Come on parents, do your job, don't let government do it for you. What a sad day for America to see families standing in line for their government provided food like they are in the Soviet Union.

Coordinator for Academic & Life Success
This position is central to advancing the goals of the Commission on Children, Families & Community (CCFC) towards closing the achievement gap. This position will spearhead initiatives to help ensure the success of all young people.
I'm not sure whether to laugh or be nauseous. This blog post is taking a little longer than usual because I have to type with one hand... a government bureaucrat is holding the other.

Student creates cartoon for social injustice awareness
These injustices were listed to the class as racism, sexism, heterosexism, looksism, ageism and ableism.
"We were actually discussing what kind of areas we could educate the student body and faculty on campus," Loanzon said. "We had a broad topic of educating 'isms' to choose from."
Everyone else's project focused on a certain 'ism,' but we wanted to challenge ourselves with all the 'isms.'"
Each cartoon demonstrates a couple of "isms" that people use in a negative manner. The hero of the comic strip, Captain Ism, shows up with a witty anecdote about the ignorance of "isms" and their lack of conscientiousness towards diversity of people.
You would think that Captain Ism would be a parody that the College Republicans would use to make fun of the PC crowd but no, they are serious.
I bet Captain Ism is a real girly man...
An open letter to my white LGBT siblings
This letter will be angry. I won't apologize for any vitriol or confrontation here. I don't believe that we can have honest public discussions without being confrontational.
My anger comes from hearing, with dismay, about a party last weekend themed "Cowboys and Indians."
I don't know a lot about this party, other than it was hosted by a visibly white student at OSU who identifies as gay.
I was already laughing at this point.
But to wait for a person of color to express outrage at these actions is to deny my responsibility as a white person to combat racism. It is to put the burden (again and again!) on people of color to educate white people.
And I believe that dressing up as "Indians" at a party harms a group of people's right to self-determination.
Poor Michael, (writer of this letter) you are such a sad angry boy. But look how "brave" it is of you to act offended and stand up to the white man at OSU. I'm sure that it's a real tough environment to do that in.
The whole letter is good for a laugh if you aren't on a college campus. If you are on campus then you probably are very worried about Indianisms.

If I didn't have to go to my legal job where I use my own SSN on Monday I would be there to protest.
Titus 3:1 Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,
1 Peter 2:13 Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;
Romans 13:1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Why do we not here about it other times? Because we all recognize that kids shouldn't be around their criminal parents. But in the case of criminal aliens everyone likes to pretend that they are just breaking that one silly law that doesn't matter anyway.
Just imagine how a child's perception of law enforcement changes when he finds out that mommy and/or daddy is a criminal alien. Imagine how it can enable the child to learn to justify breaking other laws because after all, mommy and/or daddy do it and the mayor of Portland applauds them.
Imagine the kind of company this child will be around because criminals like to hang out with other criminals. ID theft, rape, drunk driving and drug dealing: it's all ok because we don't want to split up families... as long as you are also an illegal alien.

Daniel calls for a "windfall profits tax" on the Toyota Prius. "With gas prices going up, more consumers are encouraged to buy the Prius" said Daniel in a prepared statement, "these market forces are causing obscene profits at Toyota which must be reined in."
A corportate spokesmouth from Toyota indicated that people seem to want to buy their product and that it's up to consumer choice but a recent survey of the Pearl District found that many consumers felt pressured to use the Prius for transportation.
"I just want to get to my government job" said one PD resident.
Daniel insists that if Toyota and other manufacturers are going to continue to respond to market demands there must be some regulation. "We can't just allow these companies to take advantage of people by producing goods and services that they want, there has to be a reasonable limit" says Daniel.
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- Three members of a touring male revue dance group have been arrested on accusations they raped a 24-year-old woman.
Bail for each is set at $200,000. Armagnac-Bernal, a Czech national who has overextended his visa, is also being held on an immigration hold.
An illegal alien male stripper is an accused rapist... I wonder if he was here originally on a work visa and if so what did he put down as his occupation?
Can I please here it from the mouths of McCamnesty and Hussein Obama that "stripping is a job that Americans won't do so we need to import these workers or our economy will suffer."?

Legislation proposed by Rhode Island U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse capping carbon emissions can protect low-income Oregonians while fighting global warming, advocates told Oregon's U.S. Senators Gordon Smith and Ron Wyden Thursday in a letter presented prior to a vote on the issue.
Absent adequate protections such as those proposed by the Whitehouse amendment, carbon emissions controls could increase the hardship faced by low-income families, said Sheketoff. He noted that these families typically lack the means to invest in energy conservation measures and energy efficient and cleaner technologies and that higher gasoline, food and other costs that will rise under a carbon cap take a bigger bite out of their incomes, compared to higher-income consumers.
To me, the "global warming" issue is a dumb as the illegal alien issue. Illegal means illegal and since global temperatures aren't going up then we obviously don't have a "global warming" problem. (which is why the terminology has gone to "climate change")
What we have is an outright power grab and a huge tax increase by government in the name of saving the world. But oh wait, our good liberals in congress will make sure that the poor don't share in the burden.
I haven't read the amendment but I'm not sure how you protect one group of people when the cost increase of cap and trade will be seen in your electric bill, your gas bill, your grocery bills, your water bills, your household goods and your transportation bills.
If the earth has a fever how come I'm the one who is nauseous?

Illegal immigrants from all over the state are being housed in Lane County's jail, and taxpayers are footing the bill.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, has teamed up with Lane County Sheriff's Office to jail illegal immigrants accused or convicted of crimes in Oregon, before proceeding through the deportation process.
"I get deported in 2004. So I stay in Mexico for a while. After that, I come back," said Mexican immigrant Edgar Hernandez-Cortes. [to vote for Obama]
So KVAL does a story on illegal aliens draining our tax dollars and then has the obligatory...
Stay with KVAL.com to hear the personal stories from some of the illegal immigrants featured in this report.
Yes, I can't wait until I hear the sob stories about how Edgar can't get in-state tuition and had to steal some grandma's SSN to get a job landscaping and his wages are sooo low and the Oregon Health Plan won't cover his Lazik eye surgery and he's really upset about not being able to buy Corona with his food stamps...

For example take my commute:
Mapquest says: Total Estimated Time: 14 minutes
Tri-Met says: Travel time: 43 minutes (including 3 minutes walking and 8 minutes waiting)
Why have personal independence, a nice ride where I can listen to KXL and the lack of smelly bums and trash when I could spend an extra hour a day going to and from work? Plus I could stop showering (I assume that many tri-met riders go for this option) due to the standing in the rain!

Organized labor -- public employee unions in particular -- spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and uncounted volunteer hours on Oregon's May 20 primary elections.
Yet in a recent newsletter to members, AFL-CIO leaders boasted about "the most aggressive pro-union election effort in any Oregon primary election. . . . One hundred percent of our endorsed candidates celebrated victory."
The stand-out example of union influence in the primary was the state attorney general race between Democrats John Kroger, a law professor at Lewis & Clark College, and state Rep. Greg Macpherson of Lake Oswego. SEIU contributed $317,371 to Kroger's campaign -- more than one of every three dollars he raised.
The OEA, which represents teachers, kicked in $50,000.
When government is the biggest employer in the state and all these workers are supporting Big Union (said in an ominous tone) with their dues it's no wonder that they call the shots.
Private companies learned long ago, as did the workers, that when Big Union comes in, finacial solvency goes out.
I know they love to talk about "working families" and the "middle class" but where do you suppose that these "working families" prefer to do their grocery shopping: the store with the union or the one with the cheaper groceries?
